The only empty sections were the upper endzones, which IIRC are student seats. The crowd should be louder as a whole once ACC play starts. Looked every bit of the 15,000+ from what I saw.

It depends on the type of bread you use, and how long ou toast it. I am thinking a very lightly toasted piece of wonder bread[Edited on December 19, 2012 at 7:05 AM. Reason : ]

If your toast is white its really just warm bread

Good win last night for State despite the complaining by skoal can and E-bitch. Yes our defensive efficiency is not good and that does not bode well for a deep tourney run (look at last year's Elite 8 and Final Four, nearly all the teams were at the top of the defensive rankings), but stop bitching about it right after a win against a decent opponent. Be happy that State is clearly a better team now than in years past and hope that Gott can get them to steadily improve on defense while still maintaining our insane offensive efficiency.
12/19/2012 8:57:42 AM
We should not be happy to be decent with elite talent. Get rid of this mentality of mediocrity and be a realist.
12/19/2012 10:08:05 AM
So explain what a realist is? Expecting your team to be a national contender every year?
12/19/2012 10:12:34 AM
Expecting your team to play remotely close to their potential and we have top 10 talent. Being inconsistent early would be one thing, but at no time have we looked like a top 10 team. If we don't finish 2nd in the acc, this season is a disaster and it all falls on the defensive end.

Dude shut the fuck up already

How about we play an ACC game before we start labeling the season.

we're 8-2 and aside from the OSU debacle, we're pretty much where we should be, and certainly better than where we were last year, so everyone can STFU until conference play
12/19/2012 10:51:52 AM
hope we don't meet up with UNCA in the tournament if we make it
12/19/2012 11:41:50 AM
i hope we do
12/19/2012 11:44:34 AM
we almost lostif we almost lose to them, i hate to see what we'd be like against another "under the radar" team like campbell or radford (we have lost to them before).
12/19/2012 11:46:23 AM
The crowd only really got loud after Wood's last three in my opinion, but it was far from a dull atmosphere. The dance team has definitely improved, although the halftime show from the Reynolds game set the bar really high in terms of entertainment. Those volleyball huddles were annoying as hell and I couldn't have been happier to see Brown inside them during the second half. Lewis had flashes of his performance in the Miami game and it still grinds my gears to see so many people on here write off a freshman point guard.I think what we've learned from the last few months is that we need four of our six main players to show up in a given game. It doesn't particularly matter if any one or two guys are off on a given night, but so as long as four guys come to play we got this shit.

Ok, someone start a St Bonnie game thread quick, I have a few memes lined up...
12/19/2012 12:05:42 PM
^^^it was also an early game, we didn't play well, no where near to our potential. i hope by the tournament we'll be firing on all cylinders and would easily dispose of unc-a. or campbell. or u-conn or norfolk st or stanford.

I was on the third deck in the faculty section, obviously nobody god loud up there. The students that were there seemed into it, but as has been pointed out, tons of people are on break. The students really drive the rest of the crowd and when you're missing at least 50% of that section the noise level is going to suffer a bit. However, the season ticket holders did show up even in the top deck. All in all, it was a very fun game and Stanford never had a lead. I'd like to see us tighten up down the stretch. I don't like how we started running the clock at around the 7 minute mark because we had a solid lead. We ended up giving 10 unanswered points before we called a timeout and regrouped. The end where Stanford fouled for the last 3 minutes was pretty annoying.

^ I was fine with that. I left with 2:12 to go and got home before the game ended.

Bullet that quote was from my post before the game because i knew you people would be happy no matter what as long as we win.

i didn't notice the "getting in Stanford huddles" thing...might have to re-watch the DVR

^^bmel noticed it more than I did but she said they were doing it throughout the game, or at least the second half. I definitely saw Howell creep in on the back side of a huddle near the end of the game.
12/20/2012 3:30:58 PM
I was busy doing things during the breaks in play, but I think i remember the commentator jovially mentioning that lorenzo was in their huddle once.
12/20/2012 3:38:59 PM
I was at the game, and I laughed consistently every time it happened.I hope that we keep it up for every game for the rest of the season.
12/20/2012 3:42:48 PM
Yeah Lo wasnt just in the huddle it looked almost like they huddled around him, lol
12/20/2012 3:46:03 PM
saw richard howell peep in on one of their huddles towards end of game when he was waiting to shoot foul shots
