Dear god. TOB WANTED HIM TO LEAVE. HE FORCED HIS HAND BY TELLING HIM HE WASN'T EVEN ALLOWED TO COMPETE FOR HIS OWN JOB. are all you guys really this dumb? TOB chose glennon over Russell and it backfired big time because glennon wasn't ready last year and frankly he's not ready so far this year either. What are you saying that Russell shouldn't take the contract he was offered? He should just sit the bench while a guy who can't play QB better than Russell farts gets to play? What is this tee ball where we don't keep score? What is the matter with you pansies? Why are you so butt hurt that someone didn't want to sit the bench as the clear #1 QB on the roster??
10/8/2012 11:18:10 AM
here we go
10/8/2012 11:19:06 AM
jesus christ, it's done, let it go. he wouldn't have been here this year either way, and if things had gone differently, glennon might not have been either.hey face, shut up (please stop giving the attention-whore-face attention)[Edited on October 8, 2012 at 11:22 AM. Reason : i mean, it's so obviously ridiculous that you're trolling, it's pathetic]
10/8/2012 11:21:40 AM
No I'm just stating the facts of what happened. And like we all concluded recently, it probably cost us the Acc title. All we had to do was win two of the following games: wake, bc, Gt, or fsu. Then we would have been in the championship against a mediocre Virginia tech team. It woulda been cool, but then again losing to BC and Wake wasn't that bad since we made the decision to tank a possible title so we could run the slate this year instead. 6 more to go. Onward and upward!
10/8/2012 11:32:29 AM
enough martin, please don't try to pass your instigating/trolling opinions/speculations as "facts".[Edited on October 8, 2012 at 11:39 AM. Reason : ]
10/8/2012 11:38:10 AM
Lol at still arguing over this. It's done. No one's opinion is gonna be changed at this point.
10/8/2012 11:50:32 AM
If we win the title this year, TOB may have made the right decision. If not we will never know, but we can certainly deduce that it was probably the wrong one.
10/8/2012 12:05:24 PM
dude, shut-up
10/8/2012 12:06:00 PM
Glennon couldn't carry russells jock then or now.Captain checkdown got lucky on saturday.(Once again FSU shows up sleeping when they play state)
10/8/2012 12:13:20 PM
no matter what you think of the glennon/russ decision tob still screwed updoes anyone really think a freshman RW isnt better than the Evans/Burke/Beck turd sandwich we got instead? he plays that year and we dont have to worry what he does after he plays for the asheville tourists

^thanks for bringing something [new] to the thread!
10/8/2012 12:33:05 PM
if the Seahawks don't win the Super Bowl this year, TOB made the right decision
10/8/2012 12:44:32 PM
If we don't win the ACC this year TOB should be fired.
10/8/2012 12:50:17 PM
goddamn some of you must have sad real lives
10/8/2012 12:58:09 PM
I love RW, but Luck is going to run away with the ROY. The defenses in the NFC West are simply too tough to expect RW to put up stats that will come close to what Luck will have. If RW was playing for the Colts, then I'd feel differently.
10/8/2012 4:26:48 PM
10/8/2012 5:14:58 PM
Luck? Weeden has it locked up unless kirk cousins can get hot

perfectly describes you
10/8/2012 10:03:38 PM
I wouldn't think someone with 40k+ posts would allow themselves to get trolled that easily...
10/8/2012 10:07:14 PM
TOB didn't allow one of the best QBs in our embattled history of a program the opportunity to compete for the job. That's all RW wanted. The fucking chance to compete. That being said, the issue with dredging all this shit up is that I have to relive it, and all the disgusting emotions and self-loathing that go with it.
10/8/2012 10:12:48 PM
nah dog, I just like to argue
10/8/2012 10:13:26 PM
Yahweh or the highway, apparently.
10/8/2012 10:15:44 PM
is RW the coach, or is TOB the coach?
10/8/2012 10:16:00 PM
Clearly RW. Is that even a question?
10/8/2012 10:16:50 PM
Look, mr. Burro (and I always role the 'rr'), you don't even like TOB. I don't know why you're defending this particular garbage decision.
10/8/2012 10:19:04 PM
I'm defending the decision because it was the right decision. RW was playing the program for his own purposes, and TOB saw that. I don't blame him for putting his foot down and treating all of his players the same way and having the same basic ground rules for everyone. RW showed his ass with the "i wanted an equal opportunity" comment, because he wasn't willing to do the same thing that others were doing. He didn't want an "equal opportunity"; he wanted to tell TOB what to do. The coach saw that and told him exactly where his place was: on the bench.
10/8/2012 10:23:08 PM
Were you in thethe military, by chance? I kinda get what you're saying, and some of these faggots arguing that we would've won this or that game with RW are definitely mere dabblers in actuality. However, it just sounds to me like you're supporting the pride of a mediocre coach over the possibility of game-changing player. And it's that possibility that will haunt this shit situation forever.[Edited on October 8, 2012 at 10:42 PM. Reason : Forgot the apostletrophy]
10/8/2012 10:41:15 PM
it's not a matter of supporting the pride of a coach. it's a matter of understanding who is in charge. RW wasn't in charge, TOB was, and TOB made it clear what was expected. RW then made his decision, but he tried to make TOB look like the bad guy, when TOB had some pretty simple and realistic expectations. Letting the players run the show gives you shit like what happened over at UNC and gets you put on probation. If that means we lose out on a good player here and there, that's fine to me. I think a program with good order and discipline is leaps and bounds better than the playhouse Chuckles gave us.
10/8/2012 10:54:56 PM
10/8/2012 11:37:32 PM
im not any kind of militurry, but i agree whole heartedly with that sentiment
10/8/2012 11:43:03 PM
I've got the feeling that some of you will be arguing years from now about how we could've been a 9-win team in 2010 had we kept Wilson
10/8/2012 11:47:02 PM
Well that would be actual actuality, not mere dabbling, because we had RW in 2010 and won 9 exact games.
10/9/2012 12:03:52 AM
oh give me a break. he didnt skip practice because his girlfriend broke up with him. He skipped it because he was a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE GETTING PAID MORE MONEY THAN EVERY SINGLE OTHER NON ATHLETE GRADUATE MADE THAT YEAR PROBABLY
10/9/2012 12:04:51 AM
The bottom line is that Wilson was a really good QB.Glennon at the end of the season was a pretty good QB. But for the first half of the year he was pretty terrible. It's fair to assume RW would have played at the level he played at the prior three years and he would have put us in position to play for the ACC title in Charlotte. It would have been fun.Maybe 30 years from now we'll make an ACC title game and we can put this horror story that is currently haunting our program to bed.
10/9/2012 12:07:11 AM
oh, so as long as he was gettin paid, then that's fine. Hey, I hear the O-Line all has jobs at the waffle house this year. no need for them to come to practice, right? they gettin paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaid, son! great reason for the rules not to apply to him.
10/9/2012 12:09:33 AM
jesus christ troll city up in this bitch
10/9/2012 12:16:51 AM
Yeah you have no idea what you are talking about right now. Russell Wilson was one of the best QB's in the history of humans last year. Glennon on the other hand couldn't score against Wake*, BC, or UNC. (*until the game was out of hand)Seriously guys. Let's all agree to let reality dictate our conversations going forward.Maybe you missed this.
10/9/2012 12:35:19 AM
And Russell couldn't score against MARYLAND two years ago. Kinda funny that RW was so good last year, and his numbers were the same as Glennon's. But that means glennon sux, right?]
10/9/2012 9:10:36 AM
10/9/2012 7:26:28 PM
^^ uh, what? Couldn't score against Maryland?
10/9/2012 8:37:05 PM
