The difference marriage is between a man and a woman. The difference is a penis and a vagina. He asked the question and go a straight answer. Obama would have given a wishy-washy answer where you think he might support you. Dont get mad that the guy was straight (no pun) with you.As far as the gay marriage thing goes. To me, gays just want the same legal privileges as straights. Thats fine and the problem is the way the legal system is set up. It needs to be modified so anyone can be named to fill the role of spouse.

Mitt has a plan for America...
9/7/2012 9:47:48 PM
oh yeah that makes a lot of goddamn sense...

^^Mitt Romney has never smiled like that, ever.

Romney during and after his remarks about the death of Chris Stevens. This man is complete and utter human trash. He represents the absolute lowest common denominator in politics.
9/12/2012 2:30:09 PM
Really? I'm not a fan of him, but he definitely comes across to me as a pretty moderate politician. I think there are plenty of lower common demonator politicians, and a relatively decent guy (for a politician). Those pics have no context.[Edited on September 12, 2012 at 2:44 PM. Reason : V that describes pretty much all politicians, to some degree]
9/12/2012 2:33:06 PM
The context is 4 people are dead and his first reaction was "how can i use this to make my opponent look bad". Those pictures are worth a thousand words. He looks wholly pleased with his exploitation of a human tragedy.
9/12/2012 2:39:48 PM
That's because republicans in general don't really care about the country or the people, they care about their party and their people. So, why wouldn't he try to blame this on Obama?

Another day, another opportunity for Mitt Romney to put his silver foot in his mouth.http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/romney-defines-middle-income-as-250k-and-below/2012/09/14/14b17e52-fe73-11e1-98c6-ec0a0a93f8eb_story.html
9/14/2012 12:30:24 PM
So Romney says he'll reduce taxes for middle income Americans, someone asks him what middle income Americans means, he says families making under $250K per year. Then people try to take a jab at him for thinking middle income American families make $250K per year? Silly. For issues relating to raising tax rates Obama also considers $250K to be the line. Not sure what they were going for there.
9/14/2012 5:30:11 PM
I'd be perfectly willing to say that Mittens just worded that awkwardly - that he meant household income instead of individual income. You know...because he's so goddamn awkward.I don't agree with Obama, Romney, or the IRS tax charts though.... I think that $200-$250k/year is too high to be considered a middle-class income.[Edited on September 14, 2012 at 5:52 PM. Reason : MOAR]

9/17/2012 9:18:49 AM
^agreed. I tried to make this point in a thread a while back. "Middle" is different based on the circumstances. If you have no dependents, living in Nebraska and making $100K then you're rich as fuck. If you're a the only income for a family of 4 in NYC, and not incurring debt, then your room for extravagance is much less than the former.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/17/mitt-romney-video_n_1829455.htmlSome pretty choice quotes in here,
9/17/2012 4:50:15 PM
9/17/2012 4:58:29 PM
Yes... all 47% of the people Romney is talking about think like that.
9/17/2012 5:08:36 PM
9/17/2012 5:10:10 PM
The government free ride is too posh for many in that 47% to ever consider giving up.
9/17/2012 5:27:15 PM
i lean libertarian, but not hardcore. i actually believe there are government assistance programs that have merit.but there are too many people in denial, or otherwise complacent, with how abused a lot of these programs are...i'm staunchly against any more entitlement/assistance programs until we fix what we already have.and i definitely don't believe that housing, food, and medical care are a birthright in the united states. such an absurd notion.
9/17/2012 5:37:35 PM
If you include all taxes a person pays, or atleast a majority of what we pay, then those 47% of people that pay no federal income tax are still getting taxed at nearly the same rate as those that pay income tax:http://ctj.org/ctjreports/2012/04/who_pays_taxes_in_america.phpSo if we forced those 47% to pay income tax then suddenly we would turn our somewhat progressive (or nearly flat) overall tax system into a regressive system.and there just isn't a good argument for a regressive tax system.
9/17/2012 6:47:52 PM
It's funny that a huge chunk of that 47% he says are lazy government mooches are poor white people who will vote republican until the day they die.
9/17/2012 7:32:34 PM
Yeah, but who doesn't hate poor white trash?
9/17/2012 7:40:39 PM
The people that don't realize they are poor white trash (shitloads of people)

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/8786049-yet-another-record-americans-collecting-disabilityWhy are their so many people on disability? Is it a simple function of larger population? Is the workplace that much more dangerous these days?Is it too easy to get on disability? Does disability simply cover too many things?^Mittens said that a while back. Not sure why it's only making waves just now. Not the most relevant piece of criticism to level at him at this point.
9/17/2012 9:34:29 PM
[not credible]
9/17/2012 9:47:00 PM

Has there ever been a candidate who totally dismissed a huge segment of the entire country on tape? I know it's shady that it came out but that is pretty damning. Wow.
9/17/2012 10:02:17 PM
~25% of people on disability are on it for "mental disorders" and that doesn't include "intellectual disability"
