i feel like the Heat have ruined the novelty of the "white out"
5/3/2011 9:06:24 PM
blame their lame ass fans for sitting down for 48 minutes
5/3/2011 9:21:37 PM
Logic of the average basketball fan.Boston cruises through the end of last season: OMG BOSTON IS TOO OLD TO WINBoston makes it to the final game.Boston trades away their anchor and loses chemistry: BOSTON WILL GO ALL THE WAY THEY DID THE SAME THING LAST YEAR.Basically you guys don't put much thought into your predictions. You see something happen and you base your predictions off of what happened before. Even though boston has a different team, you are convinced they will "turn it on" because they did last year when the same people said they were "too old" they were not too old then and are not too old now. They've gotten worse and everyone else has improved strictly from a roster/talent perspective. Then all of a sudden they sweep Jerod Jeffries and the Knicks and you claim they are "back". Laughable.
5/3/2011 9:34:53 PM
they clearly put way too much faith in the O'Neals to be healthy when they traded Perkinsstill, i wouldnt be the least bit surprised if it went back to Miami tied 2-2
5/3/2011 9:36:58 PM
the Heat are about 10000 times more athletic, and it showsplus Boston has no answer on the inside...they could really use Perkins' big ass in there
5/3/2011 9:46:54 PM
As bad as the Perkins trade was (don't get me wrong it was indefensibly bad) you can't even really blame that on why the Celts are losing because Perkins has been nothing short of awful for OKC so far.I can't believe Boston couldn't get a playable player back for Perkins though. In reality, the Celts are struggling because their best player (Rondo) has been struggling for the past two months.Garnett is back at it and Allen is playing great... Pierce can't be expected to carry the load against Lebron.Either Rondo gets going or the Celts will be bounced in 5, period.
5/3/2011 10:36:45 PM
Check out fattie in the orange shirt right above the Memphis benchOnly guy there too fat to wear the free blue shirt
5/3/2011 10:40:09 PM
he could at least try to wear it like a scarf around his fat neck
5/3/2011 10:50:06 PM
A bib for his nachos
5/3/2011 10:50:33 PM
or maybe he covered it in nacho cheese and ate it
5/3/2011 10:51:50 PM
Nah, Rondo was just overrated. If you are a decent pg on a complete team with three great position players, you will look like an all star. Perkins took away their interior defense which started rondo on the break after so many defensive rebounds. He also took away their offensive chemistry which helped open things up with wide body screens.
5/3/2011 10:54:05 PM
Grizzlies didn't even make a 3 pointer in the first halfif not for the perpetual hustle they would be much worse off
5/3/2011 10:57:04 PM
Perkins is very strong, almost too strong. He makes his space in the paint by just pushin people out of the way.
5/4/2011 12:12:33 AM
He might have the worst touch of any one in the league. I saw him clang a 5 foot jump shot off the top corner of the back board last night.
5/4/2011 8:44:13 AM
deshawn stevenson is so worthless right now, I'm not sure how it could hurt dallas to give butler a shot later in the series
5/4/2011 3:14:11 PM
Gasol should never be allowed to guard Dirk. Lamar Odom and Matt Barnes are the only players that should be allowed to guard him. Odom should start the rest of the series. Bring Bynum off the bench.
5/4/2011 3:16:01 PM
5/4/2011 5:51:31 PM
dallas winning tonight would be so awesome (then again they seem like the type of team to blow a 2-0 lead), can't see it happening though
5/4/2011 11:20:26 PM
^^haha Rondo fell like a straw house when Lebron hit him on the spin move
5/4/2011 11:39:24 PM
this kennys pictures thing that they do at halftime is more annoying that listening to justin bieber.
5/4/2011 11:57:47 PM
Lebron spun THROUGH him. Its not like Lebron made a basketball move that caused Rondo to fall. Rondo got hit by a train. This is why I hate Lebron.
5/5/2011 12:20:04 AM
to me it looked like Rondo's feet were set to me
5/5/2011 12:32:41 AM
Hard for me to believe Phil Jackson isn't an overrated coach. Wtf is this lineup? Fisher AND Blake? Lakers getting Pauled by Barea.
5/5/2011 12:49:22 AM
Barea>RoseActually LA just has no pg with defensive ability.
5/5/2011 12:55:14 AM
love Dirkhate Kobeam happy
5/5/2011 12:56:37 AM
^^uh yeah jackson was prob the third or fourth best coach just in this regular season, there are def better coaches out there
5/5/2011 2:24:09 AM
goddamn, LeBron clown-rolled Rondo in that pic
5/5/2011 3:22:20 AM
I also thought Rondo's feet were set, but no ref has the balls to call that on Lebron
5/5/2011 3:41:43 AM
You guys can't be serious about that Lebron-spin-Rondo-embellish-fall-down move? There was definitely contact, but Lebron was going away from Rondo, not plowing through him, which is when charges get called. And I'm not Lebron's biggest fan, but he gets absolutely mugged these days. Watching him get wrapped on fast breaks reminds me of what opposing teams use to do to Shaq in his prime. Refs are allowing another level of physicality for him like they did for Shaq. Wade and Kobe get way more calls than Lebron does.
5/5/2011 7:18:51 AM
I wonder if there will ever be another Shaq in his prime. How many big men can be that strong and dominant with a soft touch around the rim?[Edited on May 5, 2011 at 11:25 AM. Reason : df]
5/5/2011 11:24:52 AM
if Howard can develop a more consistent inside scoring game
5/5/2011 11:57:10 AM
why do I get the feeling this artest suspension will help the lakers
5/5/2011 5:03:58 PM
Because whenever Kobe sees that he has the golden opportunity to step up and be the man, he does.[Edited on May 5, 2011 at 6:39 PM. Reason : hg]

nah, I am talking about pregame buzz and media headlines.

Scumbag TreeTwistaTalks positive shit about the LakersGets embarassed when the Mavs go up 3-0
5/7/2011 12:05:45 AM
What happened to the lakers tonight? I missed the game. Was it the typical Gasol bitchass turnovers and stupid fouls down the stretch? or was it the lakers inability to guard dirk without leaving 3pt shooters wide open?
5/7/2011 12:45:21 AM
geez how many other people in the country can say they had the grizz over sas and dallas over LAL at 3:1 odds.NBA playoffs you have been broken. And giant LOL to Rondo being overrated. Not only is he Boston's best player, he's been one of the top players in the league the past few years. To say he's overrated is lunacy.
5/7/2011 1:07:40 AM
Michael!I can't win when I only have one hall of famer on my team. Kobe! I read a book once on Eastern philosophy, so people think I'm a fuckin' genius even though all I do is burn incense in the locker room before games. Triangle!I retire when my job gets tough and then come back when an impossible-to-fail opportunity arises. Horace!

I think the LBrown Pistons is a definite answer.
5/7/2011 2:12:42 AM
Lenny Wilkins with the 1979 Supersonics.Name one player on that team without looking it up.
5/7/2011 2:49:24 AM
Just so we're clear here... over the past decade the only two coaches who with statistical significance actually added wins for their respective teams are poppovich and phil jackson.Put that in perspective. Also, Dirk is not an MVP caliber player. But he was awesome last night
5/7/2011 11:24:14 AM
5/7/2011 5:15:50 PM
Pop and Adelman are great coaches...with titles thanks to HOFers like Duncan and the Admiral, Drexler and the Dream...oh wait, you mean Pop and Rudy T right?Even Red Aurbach had Russell, Cousy, Havlicek, etcAnd iirc Paul Silas was on the 79 Sonics teamWho knows what Doug Collins could've done in one more year of not winning with Jordan and Pippen...who knows what Del Harris would've done with another year of Shaq and Kobe in their primePhil Jackson actually won with those players, but haters gonna hate
5/7/2011 5:58:50 PM
Doug Collins got to the Eastern Conference Finals with a young Jordan and Pippen. I didn't bring him up for any reason other to show how extremely fortunate Phil Jackson has been during his career. Phil Jackson's single greatest achievement is having Tex Winter as an assistant coach.Bringing in Red Aurbach and the 1960's Celtics is pretty irrelevant, as it is a totally different game (as one should expect it to be after a 40 year time span). And I sincerely hope you aren't going to sit there and say that Pop has had the same luck as Phil Jackson just because he had an old and soft David Robinson and Tim Duncan. That isn't even close to having had Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and of course, Horace Grant. When Ron Harper is one of the worst players in your starting 5, you're gonna be alright.
5/7/2011 6:22:21 PM
Facts are, Doug Collins and Del Harris had the same players but couldn't win it allMain point is what championship winning coach didn't have HOF talentJackson had the best players, but he also motivated them to 11 titles...11...that's no flukeHow come Calipari hasn't won it all with the best talent?Only brought up Auerbach because he's the only coach most people might argue is better than PJ, but he, too, had hall of famers
