Ryan Kalil is a franchise player

TechnicallyAlso as a bonus, the pick we get is the Hornets this year, so we can root for them to lose the rest of the way and really mean it[Edited on February 24, 2011 at 4:35 PM. Reason : x]

wonder who Wallace sells his house to...he bought it from Curry in the first place...I was bidding some work in the area about a year ago and Crash was doing a bunch of renovations and stuff]

Picks are Hornet's this year and Portland's in 2013We still owe the Bulls next years first rounder, but it has protection built inToo bad people are saying this draft is going to be weak as fuck
2/24/2011 4:40:40 PM
oh dearanother thing is Portland is probably gonna have to play Gerald at the 4 somein other words, when he gets injured, he'll fit right in with the rest of the Blazers

we also got this baller as part of the trade
2/24/2011 4:42:50 PM
When Tyrus comes back, do we go with a 2/3/4 of Henderson/Jackson/Diaw or Jackson/Diaw/Thomas?

2/24/2011 4:46:31 PM
I told you jordan would run this team into the ground. This is the end of the road for me.As if the chandler trade and felton walk weren't disastrous enough now we gave away our only two trade chips for absolutely nothing?Guys are getting shipped all over the league and jordan can't land a ham sandwich for an all star? They must be hemorrhaging money and on the verge of bankruptcy but how does losing your best player without dumping any bad contracts help???? 20 win team now, say bye to the last remaining ticketholders.Bobcat franchise is over
2/24/2011 4:47:46 PM
ESPN' s Rose, Broussard and Bucher all seem to think Charlotte won on the trade. For once, the press thinks we won the trade deal. So maybe all those who think this was so terrible are simply over valuing Crash's value compared to the rest of the NBA. It is a nice change to have the press say the Bobcats won on a trade deal. A refreshing change.
2/24/2011 4:51:46 PM
are any of them saying we won in the short term?
2/24/2011 5:00:55 PM
Clearly they are kidding. You can't win when you give up a great player for nothingGerald was one of the top ten players in the freaking league last year, granted he fell off a lot lasdt year but now we absolutely suck and we have no cap space hahaaha
2/24/2011 5:01:03 PM
according to rally, he was better than Kobe last year
2/24/2011 5:01:38 PM
Gerald Wallace isn't even a top ten player in the Southeast Division. I love him as a person, but as a player, he's above average. Thats it. That his ceiling.
2/24/2011 5:04:21 PM
when healthy, he has the ability to be a top-10 defensive player in the league
2/24/2011 5:05:09 PM
In Portland, he'll have to prove that, because I could score on LaMarcus Aldridge.
2/24/2011 5:06:23 PM
you wouldnt score on Aldridge, you'd be too scared that on the other end of the court Emeka would dunk on your face
2/24/2011 5:08:17 PM
Speaking of Emeka......I think the downfall of the current Bobcats can be traced back to that trade. Okafor was never great, but he was solid, with a reasonable contract, and we've signed or traded for half a dozen inferior players with worse contracts in the time since to try to make up for it.
2/24/2011 5:10:30 PM
that had something to do with it...also just letting Felton walk didnt help...course honestly I think year 4(?) when our head coach was Sam Vincent and our starting PG was Jeff McInnis...everything was just bound to turn to shitlet alone drafting May, A-Mo, Ajinca, all the best players in the league coming East, etc
2/24/2011 5:14:31 PM
i thought okafor had a horrible contract. am i totally misremembering that?
2/24/2011 5:14:45 PM
it was similar to Chandler's as far as $/year but it was for longerstill he was a walking double double most nights, whereas most nights Chandler just limped onto the trainer's tableits a trade that freed up cap space! that we used to spend on shitty players' contractsi swear i have more faith in the Panthers front office to draft and sign players than the Bobcats[Edited on February 24, 2011 at 5:19 PM. 2/24/2011 5:15:40 PM
We should have went after David Lee before the trade deadline. Oh well maybe we can go after him in the offseason.
2/24/2011 5:21:51 PM
he's a nice inside player and a great rebounder, but i dont think he's worth the money
2/24/2011 5:23:47 PM
I don't get the comments about letting Felton walk. I think that DJ is a better player than Felton who simply had his stats inflated by playing in Dantoni's run and gun offense. His numbers will slide right back to earth in Denver
2/24/2011 6:11:25 PM
NY only gave Felton about $7M a year iirc...I would've rather matched that offer and had both Felton and DJ on the roster
2/24/2011 6:15:19 PM
lock it up./franchiseit's over. we'll either be contracted or relocated. They arent going to get any paying customers the next three seasons. No one is ready to sit through 25 win seasons again.
2/24/2011 7:08:42 PM
Also, if it wasn't UNC 2.0 then I'd probably come around as a fan. It's a poorly run business.
2/24/2011 7:12:36 PM
this is what, our 6th or 7th season as a franchise? We'rent we supposed to be building from young talent the last 6 years?Bickerstaff had a good thing building, the guys always played 110% then MJ bails out Billionaire Bob with some money, and decides to hook up his man Sam Vincent with the jobfor perspective, Sidney Lowe is 10x the coach Sam Vincent is and Javi Gonzalez would have about as much success playing 30mpg in the NBA as Jeff McInnis when we acquired himWe gave the Nets Bernard Robinson, who we didn't really miss, but McInnis was instructed not to even dress out for games because he wouldn't playBut Jordan decides to trade for his buddy and make him a starting PG in the NBA...4 points and 4 assists per game in 30 minutes...efficiency stats or the eye test, thats god awful

According to Ric Bucher, Charlotte opted for Pryzbilla when Portland offered Oden instead. Obviously Oden is a gamble, but I'd rather roll the dice on Oden than get a known mediocre big man in Pryzbilla
2/25/2011 2:48:04 PM
WHAT? Is that a joke? Why the fuck wouldn't we take Oden. Pryz was good but injuries have ruined him.Oden was nasty last season when healthy. If he could ever stay healthy he'd be an elite big man. What the fucking fuckIm done. I dont like the bobcats anymore. Switching to OKC, not kidding. Not even worth thinking about the bobcats anymore since theyll be leaving charlotte soon.OKC looks ready to make a western conference run now that they're loaded up[Edited on February 25, 2011 at 7:25 PM. So all of you guys bitching and complaining would have been satisfied with being at best 7th in the East over the next couple years with no real chance to significantly add to the team through the draft and/or free agency?
2/26/2011 12:14:37 AM
nah, me personally, i'm just bitching about how we've acquired free agents and drafted rookies over the franchise's history, which is not goodno reason for me to think it will improve as long as MJ is in chargeamazing player, shitty front office guy
2/26/2011 1:25:38 AM
dude we got rid of Tyson Chandler for two shitty players with bad contracts. Chandler is a relatively young starting center with an expiring deal. That was an asset. We got two guys who suck who make a decent amount of money for the next few years.Gerald Wallace is a top notch player with a very reasonable contract. In return we got jack shit. Felton is a young above average starting point guard. We got zero for him.Nazr Mohammad is a playable center with an expiring contract. For him we got jack shit.Boris Diaw is a borderline rotation player with a bad contract. We didnt trade him.Stephen Jackson is a marginal starter with a bad contract. We didnt trade him either.Diop is unplayable with a horrible contract. We didnt trade him either. How the fuck are we rebuilding? We arent rebuilding shit we dont have any good young talent and we have a bunch of shitty guys who make a lot of money. They spent 7 years methodically building a playoff team then didnt win a single game then blew the whole thing up.Except they failed at even blowing it up. Now we suck horribly and we have no means to get rid of our shitty contracts because we didnt make anyone take them. Not to mention Jordan cant draft worth a fuck so draft picks are completely irrelevant for us to receive. Great we will take another 18 year old french center that averages 5ppg in the French junior league.Fuck this team, they are relocating anyway.
