yeah, our game tuesday was postponed as well.

the games for saturday have been rescheduled for later in the day as well. ours was at 10AM and now it's at 2PM.

^They rescheduled those games on August 26th. That is why "8/26" is written next to all 4 games. They were moved to the WRAL Soccer Center from Preston Woods.

right, but they didn't update the schedule on the website until a few days ago... which is what i was going off of.

^I'm pretty sure the schedule was updated online a long time ago. Either way, it sucks because I already have 7 scratches for tomorrow. If everyone else shows up then we will have 13 at max.

well the schedule i've been looking at, liked from tasl.us didn't have us playing at 2pm until maybe wednesday. i knew from our captain, but the website didn't change until recently.

^I know we need to win tomorrow, but 7 have said they are coming and I know we will get 8 and probably 9. After that I don't know. If our team would ever show up like at the first of the season then we would do ok against most teams.

I think we are lucky to have Newcastle and Sporting twice. (Not to say you guys are a pushover, just that you aren't the best team in the league - no disrespect meant at all.)

We are officially the worst team in the league. Our fullbacks need to mark up better and I blew it twice really bad while playing in goal. I picked the wrong gk when going through the free agent pool.

And SHW cutting it a little close against Newcastle?? Were they short a few guys or did NC play really well? (if you saw the game or any of it)

^Newcastle was playing pretty good and had a bench a mile long. We had 11 for most of the game until 1 guy showed up part way through the second half after picking up his parents at work. God was nice enough to pay someone $20 to cover for him at work till our game was over.

Our defense needs to mark up better. That is our problem. Too many times we get 2, or 3 guys marking the same guy. We also run out of gas when we don't have a bench. RP is getting better though. They tied GCE 2-2 last week. Some of our top forwards have been missing for 2 weeks and one of our better CB's wasn't there either. Then there is statered who was doing a lot of good for us, but got sick and is out for the rest of the year. I need to be a better gk too. I screwed up bad twice.

My brother and his friends have one if you're just looking to join a team. I'm going to play on Tuesday if I can get back into Raleigh in time. I'm not sure if they need any more players though, and I think the Fall season is almost over.

lost 4-0 in by far our best performance of the year. from epic shoulder dislocating goal line clearances, to scoop through balls on the money, and towering clearances at the back from cody it was an awesome performance in a loss

I wish we played as many games/as often as it seems you guys do We play 1 game a week and week 3 got rained out. We are 4 weeks into the season with 1 win and 1 tie. I hate waiting so long for games ha.

well i'm on a team in two different leagues, so I play one game a week on saturday with Hibernian and one game a week - either monday or tuesday - with Ruckus.

but we've had a couple games get rained out as well. it's tough keeping a team playing well or improving with weeks off at a time.

yea definitely. having last week's game get rained out sucked. 2 weeks in between games is tough.

In other news, we tied again tonight. Up 1-0 and let in a goal with about 10 minutes left. Our defense keeps having lapses in the 2nd half costing us goals and we have had trouble scoring the past 2 games. Oh well no losses so far. 1-0-2 coming into the game against the only 3-0 team next week.

^I wish my team was that good. We are like the 2010 US National team. We give up 1, or 2 goals really early and then have long periods of good defense before we break down again.

And I don't know how good we really are. We'll find out next week I guess. Our problem is definitely offense though. We have the 2nd lowest goals against average (not all me for sure though, we have a pretty solid D overall) and that could be saving our butts right now. The team we play next week is +13 GD on the season after 3 games and we are the next best at +3. So we'll see how that defense and myself hold up. I think I'll be tested more that game than I have been all season.

Now, I will say that part of their big +GD comes from the fact they played the worst team in the league and won 7-1 last night and we have not played that team yet (that was last week's rainout game for us). But this is the team to beat in our division so I am looking forward to it next week. If we beat or tie them, I think we are a lock for 2nd regular season (I think they'd still finish ahead in the end due to our ties against teams we should be beating) looking at the teams we play after them.

The other thing that is frustrating is that I hate the subbing we do. It seems to be fairly random as far as where some people go and I think we do it too often which throws off some peoples' rhythms. Oh well. I'm still having a blast though.

Of course, this is the game my dad wants to drive down to watch too so I'll probably play like crap

We won 5-1 tonight over the 1st place team tonight

Only thing that is frustrating is that we are still in 2nd because they are 3-1 with 9 points and we are 2-0-2 with 8 points. So, if they win out (which they have a good chance of doing) we can't overcome them during the regular season. We def need to win out (which we should do with the schedule we have coming up...) and not settle for ties against lesser teams and hope they tie or lose one other game.

My indoor team won last night to advance to the league playoff final next week. 8-0 so far this season, although last night's game was pretty ugly and we won by 1 goal.

Also FYI there was a form on the desk at NetSports for pickup games. Looks like around mid-day on Mondays and Wednesdays, maybe other days, I can't remember. $5 to play. I know someone a while back was looking for indoor pickup so this will be another option.

ugh...really...we should not have lost 7-1 to Newcastle with our only goal coming after we were playing 9 vs 11.

The worst part is the few players that are worth a shit will probably quit because we're losing too much. I'm just glad I found the people I did on tww. They play better than anyone. We just need a really good gk and a really good striker to score some goals.
