Don't forget, he's a student-athlete. Attending the "Harvard of the south", UNC.

I think it's hilarious and equally disturbing that the very next picture posted on his twitter account after his african american adult film star replica sex toy picture was one of his mom.

omg this is funnyi love when jerks get burnedI met Marvin Austin's sister at Snoopy's on hillsborough st once. yeah.....If Dez Bryant has to miss a whole year for speaking to dion sanders, then Marvin Austin should have to sell concessions at all carolina home football and basketball games for free, for the rest of his life. Now that would be punishment.

harvard of the sandhills is campbell lol
7/20/2010 3:59:43 PM
I believe its "public ivy", not "harvard of the south" that they claim over there on brokeback mtn.
7/20/2010 4:01:48 PM
how can you call a university that had 82% of their undergrad students get a's and b's in 2008 a harvard of anything? and this is after being cited for grade inflation in 2000 when the percentage of a's and b's was in the 70's. they have some hard majors....im guessing. but thats not a university. they are handing out grades and making kids think that they know everything. which is probably why about...82% of unc grads are know it all assholes.[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 4:12 PM. I've never even heard "Harvard of the South" in reference to UNC. If anything, from this area, I've heard people try and call Duke that --- but Vanderbilt is called that most commonly since they tried to start an athletic rivalry with the Ivy league back in the day. Also, this thread is hilarious to read.
7/20/2010 4:21:35 PM
UNC has the most highly regarded academics of any school within a 9-mile radius of Chapel HillThey are the Harvard of Orange County
7/20/2010 4:23:35 PM
Its a public schoolTo compare a public school to an Ivy League school is assanineDuke, Rice, Stanford, Vanderbilt...these are the schools you compare to the IvysNot a publicly funded University Thats 101

Isn't that where Kornheiser went to school? Maybe it was Binghampton.
7/20/2010 4:29:02 PM
Kornheiser went to SUNY-Binghamton, they have a great journalism school Ernie, I didnt say UNC created it...they just like to claim it.

^^The difference is that Harvard actually is an Ivy League school. UNC just likes to act like one. The grade inflation stuff over there was something they claimed to be concerned about in the early 2000's, they said they'd try and fix it - and then a few years later it is even worse.[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 4:48 PM. coincidentally, if he worked at a snack bar and got paid for working at a snack bar, that would be an NCAA violation

Contrary to popular belief, student-athletes can in fact have jobs. The problem most face though is that once they are done with practice, weight training, class, and study hall, they don't have any time to work.

Mark Thomas of 99.9 The Fan made an interesting observation, i think others may have made it here, but, if the 'holes lose Austin, that's big, but for the success of the football team, losing anyone on offense, namely Little, will be a big deal
7/20/2010 7:46:35 PM
ive heard Little's miami trips were paid for by his dad, but the radio said that was his dad that said that so who knows
7/20/2010 7:47:39 PM
^Yeah, I don't trust that at all. If it were the case, I'd imagine that information would've come out immediately.
7/20/2010 7:50:04 PM
word on the interwebs is that all players have been cleared except austin
7/20/2010 8:04:03 PM
oh well. wonder if any of this will cause UNC to crack-down harder on Sturdivant's pot charge?
7/20/2010 8:06:00 PM
I don't believe that for a second either, UNC is trying to be really tight lipped about the whole thing; that post on IC was started by a UNC student if a PackPride poster is to be believed. I wouldn't trust it.
7/20/2010 8:11:18 PM
its admittedly unconfirmed, but its being tweeted by various media people
7/20/2010 8:15:07 PM
When everyone heard the NCAA had been compiling evidence for months, everyone tweeted this was something very serious for the Holes. Now someone on IC posts something that everyone is clear other than Austin and everyone is tweeting the same thing. I honestly don't think anyone knows what's going on one way or the other right now. I just highly doubt that the NCAA compiles evidence, goes to Chapel Hill (when the coaching staff happened to be out of the football offices as well), and interviews 13 players to only punish Austin.
7/20/2010 8:49:03 PM
NCAA moves like molasses anyways
7/20/2010 8:51:39 PM
^^why not? clearly they had a good idea that rules had been broken, they probably knew that austin was involved and maybe several other players, upon investigation they find that only austin at unc is involved but also saunders from usc, dude from florida, and dude form alabama (?)its not like the ncaa investigating for several months and only finding austin guilty are mutually exclusive, not like there is some sort of rule where it has to be a minimum of five players breaking the rules before the ncaa gets involved. they clearly put this case together against austin and then looked to make sure no one else was involved as well[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 9:05 PM. ESPN just had a "Schools Under Scrutiny" segment. They mentioned Florida and Alabama but no mention of UNC. I really don't understand why no media outlet, top to bottom, feels the need to address the shit going on in Chapel Hill.
7/21/2010 10:18:15 AM
espn, wral, and the charlotte observer have all mentioned "the shit going on in chapel hill."
7/21/2010 10:23:31 AM
Sure, it has been mentioned, if you want to take my statement literally, which in all fairness is how it was written. But those same media outlets seem to go out of their way to ignore it.
