Still credible. Also, I just hope Vandy doesn't get pushed around too much when we start playing decent competition.

i love you

vandenberg is king
12/4/2013 9:28:32 PM
This man is playing his way into the draft
12/4/2013 9:29:45 PM
definitely not the same V'Berg as we saw last year.

he went from I'berg to V'berg
12/4/2013 10:13:07 PM
requesting a synapse breakdown of who said Vandenberg could be serviceable this year v. who said it was impossible so that we may call the nay-sayers shitty fans

I'm so proud of Vandy. It must have sucked to sit on the bench like that for four years. He worked hard to get in shape and now he's playing a huge role in the squad.
12/4/2013 10:34:46 PM
why does the gif i made always load so slowly...is gifsoup always that slow?
12/4/2013 10:38:51 PM
imgur is where it's at
12/4/2013 10:39:21 PM
convert youtube to gif at gifsoup then upload to imgur?
12/4/2013 10:43:05 PM
STILL PLENTY OF ROOM ON THE VANDWAGON
12/4/2013 10:43:26 PM
It must have sucked been awesome to eat garbage, get a free ride, and sit on the bench like that for four years.
12/4/2013 11:03:46 PM
I am very glad to see Vandy playing well so far, but damn where was this last year? Dude could have played a huge role on our team considering we had exactly two front court players and would stick Warren at the 4 to fill in for Fowell and CJ Biscuit.[Edited on December 5, 2013 at 7:31 AM. ^Last year he was fat, had terrible fundamentals, and committed way too many unnecessary fouls. Thus, he couldn't help us.Props to Vandenberg for rededicating himself in all areas in the off season. He actually has very good agility for his size when fit and healthy, and it is much easier to have good footwork and move on the court without carrying the extra baggage. Hopefully he is an example for Anya, who can still improve his body before his Sophomore year.[Edited on December 5, 2013 at 8:13 AM. Reason : .]

Lol at people now complaining because Vandy wasn't this productive in the past.
12/5/2013 9:03:31 AM
who's going to go back and find all the posters that claimed he'd always be a waste of a scholarship and anyone who thought he could play basketball was stupid? (again, i hesitate to say this, as I know it's still early in the season)

from everything we have heard, it sounds like the locker room and team chemistry was pretty toxic in the past. improving chemistry and locker room can go a long way to getting players to buy in and commit, maybe its a sign that we have finally turned a corner.
12/5/2013 10:07:29 AM
I'm sure Sidney Lowe's coaching didn't help. The horror stories I've heard about the last coaching staff are border line absurd and unbelievable BUT believable at the same time If that makes sense. Point being ... When gottfried got here things changed for the positive. He gambled on JV and saw the potential all while creating a new Richard Howell it took some tough love from the fans and coaches to get JV over the hill. But it all paid off. Remember he was threatened with being let go if he didn't make coaches weight goal. He knows this is his last chance...he gives a fuck and it shows. If he continues to play this way then he will be drafted

Call me delusional, but I'm actually hoping that Gott turned a corner with this gig. Meaning he actually did all the things he said he did when he was working for ESPN (studying other coaches, going to practices) and he actually does emphasize defense and rebounding, but our lack of those things in the past two seasons was just a carryover from the "Club Lowe" days.
12/5/2013 10:41:38 AM
^^but being a jerk and calling one of our own "garbage" and being certain that he'll always be terrible and stuff kinda makes you a shitty fan
12/5/2013 11:02:25 AM
If he developes a midrange and short baseline jumper then oh my god watch out
12/5/2013 11:29:41 AM
I'm not complaining he didn't contribute in the past. 7 footers that are solid contributors before their juniiur year are the exception. I was just bluntly responding to the "why didn't we use him last year" type comments.
12/5/2013 12:36:31 PM
12/5/2013 12:46:36 PM
he was our #2 returning stunna from last year
12/5/2013 12:53:04 PM
I just want to make sure everyone is still posting his funny tweets (since I don't twitter). I don't want to miss anything with all of this bitch fighting going around.

12/5/2013 1:01:24 PM
^^ Think this one is in the lead at the moment
12/5/2013 1:29:54 PM
i'm still just cautiously optimistic about him until we play a real team
12/5/2013 1:58:02 PM
Through 3 games, he's averaging 11 points, 7 boards, 3 blocks (Duke is averaging 3 as an entire team), and 1 assist in 27 minutes, leading the team[!] with a .696 FG rate, and nearly leading the team with only .7 turnovers a game.]
12/5/2013 2:07:33 PM
^^ What would you consider our first real game? Virginia?

12/5/2013 4:14:44 PM
He had 90 points total in the first four years of his career. Already has 33 through 3 games.
