Adidas unveiled the Official World Cup ball. The "Jabulani".http://www.soccerballworld.com/Jabulani_2010.htmApparently everyone likes it, so maybe we won't see another low scoring World Cup and the goal keepers won't be able to bitch about knuckling. It can be yours for only 150 dollar bucks.

^x5 - Don't worry. Someone is bound to bitch about the ball sooner or later. One thing I am concerned about is the refereeing, namely red cards. There were a ridiculous amount of red cards in the last world cup, so much so that it made some of the games a joke.

jt, i had a dream last night similar to your prediction. nearing full time, roy wegerle inserts himself into the lineup and takes a volley from 40 yards out, knowing that david james is much too old to stop it. the final whistle blows, usa 2 england 1predictions for golden shoe? i got ngogbut seriously, this will be yohan gourcuff's world cup...write it down^ best game everhttp://www.footballingworld.com/2009/01/27/world-cup-2006-portugal-v-holland-bloodbath/[Edited on December 5, 2009 at 10:15 AM. ^Why do you have to be hating on America so much? I'm pulling for USA first, but I have friends from England and Germany, so I hope those teams do well too besides when they play the USA.
12/5/2009 1:42:35 PM
... I have already reiterated my reasoning an innumerable amount. Why do you continually get your fucking panties in a wad over it?
12/5/2009 2:19:20 PM
So my brother just sent me a text asking me my thoughts on going to the World Cup in South Africa, and asking if I can check my schedule. He's going to pay for the trip. He's serious about the whole thing, too. I'm wondering how to work things, exactly. Do most people go for the whole thing, or just a few games? Do they arrive early and stay until after the finals?South Africa would be cool as hell to see.
12/5/2009 2:30:20 PM
It isn't possible to see every game in person. Many are at the same time or on the same day and many miles apart. Now that the draw has occurred, the time and location for the first round games for each team are available. Either follow one team (the US has a favorable draw as far as location to location distance) or stay in one city and try to see as many games in that city. Do some planning too. One might be able to show up in Western Europe and just sort of wing it, but I've had some family travel to South Africa and from their experiences I wouldn't recommend going that route.
12/5/2009 2:38:31 PM
After what happened in '02, I don't see how any US fan can cheer for Germany.
12/5/2009 4:41:14 PM
yeah i could never pull for germany...ever...and i hate michael ballack with a ridiculous amount of passion[Edited on December 5, 2009 at 4:51 PM. Reason : yo]

I hate that the world cup is the same summer as my bar exam, I will definitely be distracted at the worst time.

^Well if you cheered for City instead of United then I wouldn't think you would be a bandwagon fan.
12/6/2009 12:27:28 PM
HA CAIN'T REED GUD.
12/6/2009 12:31:43 PM
Haha, what is B4C saying? A bandwagon fan for being an England supporter? What? Or is he just trying to troll about being a ManU fan because you don't support USA soccer for some reason?
12/6/2009 12:42:30 PM
Who knows, he's like the little brother that never has anything valuable to contribute, but is always around babbling nonsense.
12/6/2009 12:53:29 PM
^Well there are 2 teams in Manchester, so why not pull for City? There is nothing wrong with you for pulling for England though.
12/6/2009 1:08:08 PM
12/6/2009 1:19:56 PM
^^im not a huge soccer fan, but i watch it occasionally. But, there is a good deal wrong with him cheering for england over the US if he is an american. as a secondary team to cheer for its fine...but I dont get cheering for a different country than your own unless yours is already eliminated.

LOL.kiljadn = englishNow everyone, bookmark this page so you don't come asking him what he thinks about Bob Bradley next week. You can, however, ask him what the deal is with spotted dick.

I think jadn's carpetbagging was covered like a week ago, and I'm pretty sure it was in this thread
12/6/2009 3:13:21 PM
lol...my bad
12/6/2009 3:28:19 PM
^^I know he has English connections, so that is why he likes Manchester United and the English national team, but I still don't see why that would cause him to cheer for Iran over USA in the 1998 World Cup.
12/6/2009 3:40:20 PM
Who the fuck caresIt's a game where dudes kick a ball into a netIt's not a fucking warShut up goddammit
12/6/2009 3:48:24 PM
^The world cares and the mother country better hope they don't go blowing this one too. The USA already has a 1-0-0 record vs England in the World Cup. If England wins then we shall call it a draw, if they don't then USA still PWNTS Englands overrated ass.
12/6/2009 3:54:58 PM
You're seriously barking about some shit that happened before your parents were born
12/6/2009 3:55:55 PM
^Well why not?
12/6/2009 3:56:43 PM
Because it couldn't be any less relevant to what happens next summer
12/6/2009 3:57:17 PM
^With that logic then no team should hang banners and no fans should run their mouth about what happened in the past.
12/6/2009 3:59:23 PM
12/6/2009 4:01:34 PM
^Exactly! Lets take all of our NCAA banners out of the RBC Center and burn them. Lets also have FIFA destroy all record books, so that no one remembers who has won the world cup in the past. Fans of Brazil shouldn't thump their chest for being a 5 time champion.
12/6/2009 4:05:27 PM
Winning the World Cup 5 times is a lot different than beatin England one time over a half century ago.
12/6/2009 4:08:58 PM
Being a five-time champion is slightly more relevant than winning a single game by a single goal so long ago that most of the participants are now dead.
12/6/2009 4:09:21 PM
^But the USA still managed to win the only game that ever counted for something vs England. It's already been mentioned in the press. It's just one more way to hype the 2 nations opening match along with players from the USA playing in England and Beckham in America.
12/6/2009 4:11:38 PM
The US won one game against England in 1950 in World Cup play. Neither the US nor the English made it out of that group. If you even understood the concept of the game in tournament fashion -which you obviously don't - you would realize that one win in the group stages doesn't make or break anything. If you looked at the group standings the US still finished dead last in that group. What does that mean? It means that in 1950, when England finished second in the group, and the US finished last, England were a better team. Success in the group stages is measured over 3 games, not one. But you're too fucking stupid to understand that, which means that you'd also think a 2006 bottom-feeding US squad that somehow managed to miraculously draw in the group stages with eventual Champions Italy were somehow equal to them.Overall record:England 7 wins - US 2 wins - 0 drawsEngland have outscored the US 35 to 8 in 9 games, the most recent being a 2-0 embarrassment of the US back in May.Every single International game counts for something, because every single game contributes to World Ranking, friendly or tournament. Again, something I wouldn't expect you to be able to comprehend, though. But honestly, I don't even know why I'm even bothering to type this out. You're an illiterate retard who doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together, so why would you understand the finer points of tournament play?HA CAIN'T REED GUD.
