what was he sitting on??
3/12/2010 4:50:34 PM
Tonights episode was weak. The fake dump scene made me want to turn off the office for the first time. Did they just give up, or am I the only one who thinks they are going way down hill.
3/18/2010 11:04:03 PM
I disagree I thought this episode returned to what made The Office good, finding humor in small things that happen within the office. I thought the episode was very true to all of the characters. One thing I didn't understand was why Andy and Erin were at the dump at the end of the episode.
3/18/2010 11:22:07 PM
i thought it was the 2nd great episode in as many weeks, although..... the greenscreen at the dump was embarrassing. What's the budget over there at NBC? And the fight at the dump was probably something that was OK on paper, but ended up being acted and shot like a high school improv classanyway - no pam/jim/baby drama = good. And I happen to like Andy and Erin. The "hot/cold" scene was hilarious. Ed Helms and the girl playing Erin are much more dynamic than Pam/Jim, who are/were just a couple of ridiculously hot, mildly amusing people. Andy and Erin have personality and have fun characteristics they can play off of[Edited on March 19, 2010 at 12:08 AM. Reason : .]

I didn't hate it but it certainly was nowhere near as good as last weeks IMO. I do like the actual ensemble episodes, though... gives it more of a feel of the earlier seasons when they were always either ALL in the office or ALL out together. And what was with the OBVIOUS green screen... Are there no dumps in Los Angeles.^ Eh, I still can't stand them. I think the deal with Jim and Pam is that they both had relatable characteristics to people our age... and didn't have the combined IQ of a table.[Edited on March 19, 2010 at 8:43 AM. Reason : x]

the green screen was very distractingthe birds in the background was a cool way to make it seem more real but still i couldn't pay attention because i was looking for where the screen began
3/19/2010 10:15:47 AM
Jim knows better than to tell Michael he's on a blind date, he should have kept his mouth shut
3/25/2010 9:10:45 PM
ha, Dwight getting scared by Angela and screaming FUCK was hilarious
3/26/2010 12:53:00 AM
See, I like Dwight. But the Angela and whats-her-name storylines are shit. The baby contract is too far out there, and they've offered absolutely *zero* reason why the other girl should be so into Dwight. And the 180 by the bartender vis-a-vis Michael came out of nowhere.Kevin's baby-crying-boobs thing stretched credulity a bit. That said, Pam in this episode was believable, weird as it was...when new moms finally get released from child care for a bit, my experience is that they are out of touch with reality at first. The attempted gay pairing was amusing in its abject failure. And the Yakuza thing at the end had me rolling.Edit: ^^The point is that it wasn't a blind date. Or a date at all. Though I agree Jim was foolish.[Edited on March 26, 2010 at 4:04 AM. Reason : ]

I haven't seen last night's episode, but he's also supremely confident in himself... some chicks want that and won't look at the overall crazy he is.
3/26/2010 8:07:17 AM
Fact. Dwight slams bitches. Bears, Bitches, Battlestar Galactica

Isabell, what are you doing here?Dwight, I'm the reason guys like you come herehahaha
3/26/2010 8:25:36 AM
hahawhere did you learn to talk like that?um, the movies? i dont knowwhat movie? black snake moan?i think erin is hilarious and adorable.
3/26/2010 10:51:21 AM
best part was kevin outside the window giggling about erin/andy
3/26/2010 12:37:59 PM
I thought the episode was pretty standard. There was nothing "special" about it, but certainly nothing bad about it.
3/27/2010 2:10:22 AM
I think that was EASILY the best episode of the season
3/27/2010 1:39:15 PM
i gave up on this season a while ago, has it gotten any better?
3/27/2010 2:26:29 PM
I want a big family.I could see myself getting used to that. No, I mean a big family, as in large.
3/27/2010 2:33:42 PM
^^ definitely check this weeks outit was the first time an episode has made me genuinely happy in a long time

Michael's reaction to Happy Hour didn't really make any sense.... we've seen him go out to bars (The Dundies, in NYC, other times in Scranton) and have other social/drinking events many, many times. I can see how he would be excited to be asked, but him goign into the bar and acting like this was the first time he's set foot in a place with beer and pool tables with his coworkers was retarded. And speaking of retarded, the bar manager's 180 when Michael mentioned he was also a manager made absolutely no sense
3/27/2010 6:22:17 PM
^Please tell me you're kidding, and if you aren't that you did not actually watch the show. His attitude at the bar had little to do with happy hour and was predominately the result of being on a "date". This was made obvious multiple times as he continually referred to himself as "date mike".The bar manager's 180 made perfect sense. They're both managers in an environment where it doesn't matter, yet they regard the position in such high esteem. When he mentioned he was a manager and was writing a book these facts trumped all other behavior due to her self-elevated regard for her position and managing in general.
3/28/2010 12:58:08 PM
3/28/2010 1:06:27 PM
I disagree on both accounts. Michael is always excited when invited out with the team and this wasn't a typical bar, it was a Dave and Busters. In fact, based on what we know about Michael it would be bizarre for him not to react to those two situations the way he did. Also, how can you say maybe since it is exactly what happened. That is, unless, you meant in real life, but when has this show ever identified precisely with real life occurrences and outcomes.
3/28/2010 2:08:05 PM
Are you guys really doing this
3/28/2010 2:59:04 PM
^seriously. it's a fucking comedy, not a damn jane austen novel
3/28/2010 3:07:56 PM
Don't get me fucking started on Jane Austen... her books have really started to suck lately
3/28/2010 4:54:35 PM
she should stick to zombie love stories
3/28/2010 5:05:53 PM
FINALLY back tonight
4/22/2010 8:12:01 PM
Kevin's impression of that new guy stole the show. I loved Michael finally being the one who had to deal with other people's crazy shit for once also.
4/22/2010 9:52:33 PM
yeah, Michael was pretty sane tonight, but when did he develop such a distaste for hanging out with the new girl?
4/23/2010 9:48:07 AM
^yeah that was one of the issues with last night's episode. Every other scene they've had together this season Erin has all but worshipped Michael while he has embrassed having this "sidekick" in the office. Perhaps you can write it off that Michael didn't want to take her to lunch because it was secretary's day and not boss's day, and we all know Michael always wants to be the center of attention. Wasn't a big fan of Jim and Pam's storyline, they came off very douchey. But other than that i enjoyed it. what i really want to know is WTF!? NO parks & rec!? come on!!!
4/23/2010 10:12:58 AM
Haven't watched any of the shows, but 30 Rock was a few episodes back of the other two on the season (though the Office has 2 or 3 more shows than either this season) so it's not a huge surprise P&R didn't come back this week -- I think all four are new through the end of sweeps going forward.[Edited on April 23, 2010 at 10:17 AM. Jim and Pam are really getting on my nerves
4/23/2010 11:41:36 AM
I lol'd when Michael called Erin a rube.
4/23/2010 12:32:04 PM
Just saw it.. I actually kind of liked it and that is saying something since I can't stand Erin at all... that was as cringe-worthy as I've seen this season, which is funny to me.^^ they can be douchy sometimes sometimes but I thought the new guy was being a much bigger douche but they got the last laugh -- trying to act like he has power over the asylum when he has none was pretty stupid.
4/23/2010 2:39:18 PM
i havent really like erin in the past, but she was really funny last night
4/25/2010 11:04:44 PM
am I the only one that noticed Toby looking like he put on about 50 lbs.?
4/25/2010 11:17:33 PM
^ Oh definitely.
4/25/2010 11:20:44 PM
oh definitely he was the only one or oh definitely you noticed?
4/25/2010 11:27:36 PM
Paul Lieberstein has put on weight.
4/27/2010 7:33:10 PM
Steve Carrell says he'll probably leave the show after next season.
4/29/2010 5:05:06 PM
^ , although I think the show has already peaked.Maybe NBC will pull a "Med School"-type project and seamlessly transfer into a far less funny spinoff.
4/29/2010 6:42:52 PM
^^he should have left after last season, this show has run it's course.
4/29/2010 6:52:10 PM
No show that runs six seasons is ever as good as it was when it started. Just the way it goes. The jokes get stale and the characters run out of places to grow. And really, it hasn't been "as good" since Season 2 but that is nitpicking. For what it's worth, I've enjoyed this season more than season five, but that's just my opinion. I could not have cared less about the dumb art school shit that was like half the season.I still get laughs out of it and that's all I really care about. After next season sounds about right.^^ I don't know if you like it, but start watching P&R. A lot of the funny from The Office made it over there. Mike Schur is one of the chief writers and exec producers and that dude is hilarious to me.[Edited on April 29, 2010 at 6:58 PM. Reason : x]
