The only time I was annoyed or felt put off by this season's unrealism was after they did blatant, obvious crimes... like kidnapping the Juarez family and destroying their house or kidnapping the newspaper writer and his neighbor and his neighbor's cat.Blowing up that random guy's house in Gas Crisis didn't feel that way, though... partly because it wasn't quite as obvious that the gang had done it, and partly because I was in tears laughing by the time that point was reached.

^^ I totally get what your saying. i just have to stay with something until it's finished, i hate giving up hope that things will get better... i used to religious read JANE magazine and everyone used to say "oh they've sold out" and then with The O.C. (complete and polar opposite of IASIP i know) I was the same way... damn, I'm even like that with my boyfriend. he jumped the shark almost 2 years ago and I still think a miracle will happen. It's the little glimmers that keep me watching, every once in a while you'll see something that reminds you of how it used to be. i still think this show has at least a couple more seasons left in it.on a side note... did anyone ever watch that testees that came on afterwards? was that any good?

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the episodes. I loved both. But when each one had wound down at the end it just bugged me a bit. Mostly I was just trying to relate my own not-very-related opinion with the stuff aimorris posted on page 7.

I liked how the gang was like "whoa whoa whoa calm down" when Charlie threatened giving away their roles in the musical
11/26/2008 1:11:47 AM
11/26/2008 8:31:13 AM
yeah, that made it better I guessI felt the same way
11/26/2008 4:11:52 PM
11/27/2008 10:57:56 PM
that's ok he's a great player
11/27/2008 11:27:05 PM
Speed has everything to do with it
11/27/2008 11:55:08 PM
i guess let me rephrase thenits not that they reused it, as simply stand alone eps with no plot connection would be absurdbut that, in my opinion, the introduction of green man into the gang gets invincible ep was SO GREAT, so momentous, that simply sneaking it in that charlie trys to wear it under his clothes to be green man was just, forced in my opinion...i mean if you'll remember, charlie doesn't like being green man, and only became him when he was tripping balls on acid, so i found it a little forced that he would be so wanting to do so the second time around....i felt like in the writing meetings they felt that green man "caught on" with the fanbase or attracted new viewers to the show, so they just tossed the gag back in, rather than really waiting for an excellent opportunity to reintroduce with the same magnitude...then again, maybe there can't be another first time for green man, and that's what we're left with
11/28/2008 8:43:17 AM
i think it was a clever usethink about what they were doing - looking for a character that would "catch on" and go viraldee was trying all of these flairs and characters that were intentionally made unfunny, while charlie was just wearing a suit of green lycra and getting more laughs than sweet dee could ever hope to getin some ways, its a meta-commentary on how concept-sitcoms that we see today try so hard to change the game and wind up lasting only 5 episodes while always sunny just goes for the easiest style possible (its just 5 people living their lives) and is better than any other sitcom working today
11/28/2008 1:13:34 PM
that's deep
11/28/2008 3:57:41 PM
i'd say "ill give you that" but i think that's an excellent point, and well puteither wayi wish green man had stayed in that one ep...it's just how i enjoyed it

Mac: Here's the song. Dennis: What the hell is this, a page from a coloring book?Mac: It's a song that Charlie wrote. It's called "Night Man." Skip all the raping parts and get on stage.

12/2/2008 11:50:52 AM
12/2/2008 11:55:10 AM
Mac: I mean the first half of that song was kind of cool, but what's with the second half?Charlie: It's about the Night Man, like you know, like filling me up and I become him -- I become the spirit of the Night Man.Mac: But it sounds like a song where a man breaks into your house and rapes you.

1/17/2009 12:19:49 AM
After they're gone from hulu just use http://www.sidereel.com/It's_Always_Sunny_in_Philadelphia/ until FX threatens them to remove the episodes.
1/17/2009 4:29:09 AM
cause theres gonna be about 50 cats howling outside that window all night long and you have no idea how loud 50 cats can be
1/17/2009 7:40:54 PM
theres just something about the combination of beer, huffing glue, and eating cat food that makes you feel all tired and sick like at the same time.

So I guess I might as well tell the story about how Sweet Dee broke her coccyx...Before they got married and moved to Sherman Oaks, Rob and Kaitlin (Mac and Sweet Dee) used to live directly across the street from me here in Marina Del Rey. They are very good friends with my roommate, and correspondingly I got a chance to know them pretty well. Of course they are hilarious in real life, and really cool as well. Its a shame they moved away.So it was the 4th of July 2008, and I'm getting drunk as hell up on the roof of my place. I was drinking this horrible combination of Jack Daniels and Playboy energy drink. The next door neighbor to Kaitlin and Rob was having a party, so my buddy and I decide to walk over. It's about 10 PM, and just about everybody had been drinking all day. Well I get down to the street, and see my roommate, a former collegiate offensive lineman, talking to Rob and Kaitlin as they are walking out of their place. Rob, and Kaitlin especially, are fuckin BLITZED. Drunk as a skunk. Hammered. So Kaitlin comes running at my roommate and jumps into his arms. My roommate, playing along, picks her up sideways and holds her above his head like he is powerlifting her. I am about 2 feet away at this point, and I couldn't help but think that they could probably use a spotter. As that thought slowly propogates through my alcohol-addled mind, suddenly Kaitlin moves, and my roommate loses his grip, dropping her backwards from about 8 feet up in the air. She lands on her side with a thud, and everybody is like, "OH SHIT!". She's got a shocked look on her face, and Rob isn't sure what to do. My buddy and I don't know how to help, so we end up just going into the party after standing there a while. We have a few beers (the party sucked), and head out. Of course Kaitlin is still there, with my roommate and Rob trying to get her off the ground. She looks like she's in shock, probably too drunk to feel the pain. They eventually carry her back to her place. My roommate is pretty shaken up, and goes straight to bed.The next time I saw her she was in a wheelchair, and my roommate tells me that she broke her coccyx. Luckily, they had just finished filming season 4, so it didn't fuck up anything. Here's a youtube video of Rob talking about the incident (among other things) at Comic Con:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGYB7siUyVQ

She looks fragile...and alcoholic.Hey!We got monkey meat.

I know everyone loves watching videos on hulu for shows that haven't been released on DVD yet, but I don't blame these people for taking their shows off of it. If I made a brilliant show that people loved, I'd want to make sure that DVD sales are decent. This is my favorite show so I buy all the dvds. And I hope everyone that likes the show does the same because that just gives them more of a chance to keep the show alive. Rob says it best during the bonus features from the first season when he says something like, "kids, introduce all your friends to IASIP and when they love it, make them actually buy the dvd... so I can get rich"
1/19/2009 1:49:38 AM
Yeah but dvds involve physically opening the case up and putting them into a physical slot. It all seems very cave-manish. I just click "it's always sunny in Philadelphia" and pick the episode i want on my HTPC. Hulu is also too much work.[Edited on January 19, 2009 at 1:54 AM. Reason : .]
1/19/2009 1:54:12 AM
^&^^I watched every episode of Arrested Development on Hulu, I'd never seen any of it before.I now own all 3 seasons on dvd, but I do see the convenience of clicking a URL and picking a random episode to watch over opening a case and putting a disc in my xbox.So both opinions are valid.
