and i'm sure you put that on your health insurance app. btw, that's falsification of information, and if they were to do a tox screen on you if you came to the hospital, and you were positive, you'd lose any reimbursement for the visit and would be bankrupt in about 10 seconds

except they can only give you tests that you authorize. and the insurance company isn't privvy to the results of the test due to doctor patient confidentiality, they can only see that you had the test. i smoke pot sometimes and i told my doctor about it. its a fucking health thing. the doctor isn't going to turn you in for using drugs when all they do is hand out drugs

Some of the logic in this thread baffles me.


Being honest on a job application will not help you at all unless you are trying to get a job with the Salvation Army or something. The rest of the business world wants employees who either do not have problems or do not bring their problems to work.

Listing how you casually smoke pot but think they should not worry about it because you are responsible is not going to help you get a job anywhere. Job applications are places to only list your best qualities and act ridiculously enthusiastic about working. Not a place to list what you do in your personal time.

Haven't read the whole thread, but I contend that industry comes into play.

I'm in the middle of the road as far as dividing personal life from work. But where I work, I fully support an even-less-than-zero tolerance policy. To work at a nuclear power plant you've got to be comfortable with a complete grilling of and invasion into your personal life upon hiring. And I'm fine with that.

it's legit because the company asked, and the question was voluntarily answered
