ha I checked and he was the guy who played the big boss in the first Rush Hour movieHe had blonde hair then IIRC

Not sure if you guys heard about this but I just read on IGN that due to the impending end of the writer's strike, this season of Lost has been extended from the original 8 episodes to 13 episodes. I believe they are going to try and compress the storyline from the original original 16. Hopefully this means more answers sooner, but we all know it will just mean more questions.
2/12/2008 9:59:59 AM
Yeah I read that they planned to shot an additional 4-6 episodes if the strike was resolved by February 15th. So hopefully they'll cover all the major plot points that they would in a full season and just cut out a couple filler episodes that don't do much to advance the overall story, of which they usually have several every season.
2/12/2008 10:04:46 AM
I would just like to add that the title "LOST" refers to the viewers not the plot and/or characters.
2/12/2008 10:18:27 AM
True

going back to the person on the boat comments. i do feel that the "There were no survivors" comment could in fact mean that she should get rid of everyone who did survive because then that would make sense for what ben and walt were saying about everyone would die if their people came there. also, michael being on the boat would make sense because asian guy wasn't shocked at all to see that there were survivors there.
2/12/2008 10:46:22 AM
If they ever make a movie about the VT shootings, the asian guy would be a perfect fitexcept he's probably in his mid thirties but he could pull it off
2/12/2008 10:54:24 AM
I bet the person on the boat is Waltbut its just a mental projection, so he's probably not actually there
2/12/2008 11:02:44 AM
^ Do you really bet that? I'll put down one million dollars that you're wrong.
2/12/2008 2:28:08 PM
penelope is in the sarah connor chronicles
2/12/2008 2:54:34 PM
no, bet was just a figure of speech"bet" = guess in this circumstance
2/12/2008 3:10:01 PM
even that would be wrong.
2/12/2008 3:39:47 PM
^^^Yeah I saw that too, it was bugging the hell out of me for a while.
2/12/2008 3:58:45 PM
shut the hell up alreadyoops, I dont mean "hell" literally
2/12/2008 4:01:02 PM

I'm pretty convinced that ben jumped off that bridge and is the man in the coffin. Ben is doing everything in his power to keep these people (who we all should believe to be the true bad guys) from completing their mission. Jack helps the freighters bring ben and 6 others back and take over the island. The rest hide from them and are still on the island hiding in the future. Jack regrets never listening to Ben and realizes that Ben was his best chance back.
2/12/2008 9:08:44 PM
this blog has the best per-episode analysis i've read yethttp://lost-and-gone-forever.blogspot.com/2008/02/confirmed-dead-analysis.htmlhere's what he thinks about "Ben's man on the boat"
2/12/2008 9:47:25 PM
they're in a parallel universe. they were not meant to survive and live in the version of time they're in. thats why jacks dad is a alive in the world they go back to. when jack says they have to go back to the island because they don't belong here, he also means the time reference.this could all be wrong, either way, desmond hume is key and we haven't been giving the guy enough dues.
2/13/2008 12:15:47 AM
I'd say the parallel universe theory is probably wrong, seeing as it's been rebuffed by the writers a bazillion times.
2/13/2008 1:28:08 AM
^ yeah, but wouldn't you deny it if someone figured it out?[Edited on February 13, 2008 at 2:41 AM. Reason : the writers and producers aren't that smart, nor is the direction/plot brilliant.]
2/13/2008 2:40:26 AM
the parallel universe theory is just as cheap as a "it's all a dream" theory. i don't think they're going that route
2/13/2008 7:19:59 AM
dude, they're totally in purgatory
2/13/2008 8:55:43 AM
Here's the interview Cuse had with Michael Ausiello of TVGuide.com:It mainly talks about the how the season will be recorded (Wraith was talking about this at the top of this page)
2/13/2008 9:30:45 AM
while I think a parallel universe or pugatory or hell or whatever is a cheap plot device, I do think it's likely that there is something funky going on with time and/or space. Time has been altered or harnessed somehow with Desmond's going-into-the-past experience and his future visions, and also with the strange aging of The Others. And Space is acting strangely with the island in general, and now with the discovery of a Darma Bear skeleton in Africa. I find this theory intriguing, from the Lost and Gone Forever blog.

i've been thinking it was just another old dharma site in tunisia.
2/13/2008 10:36:30 AM
^We already know that the Hydra station is on the island though.

I just found this purely on accident while searching for something on Google. I'm sure it has been brought up in various Lost forums but I'm really surprised I didn't hear about something like this earlier.(if you don't see it, take a look at the longitude and latitude in the upper left corner)
2/13/2008 1:45:45 PM
cool, i hadn't seen that before. maybe that can start to explain why the number appears on the island, like on the hatch door. i made a Google My Maps to confirm that lat/long, and it is right(tinyurl to Google Maps) http://tinyurl.com/26p6z2
2/13/2008 1:58:13 PM
^Whoa, Google maps actually shows an island right next to it.
2/13/2008 2:03:39 PM
Only problem is, there should be more than one island.
2/13/2008 2:09:16 PM
you're about three seasons late on that
2/13/2008 2:24:25 PM
I guess you forgot the part where I said "I'm sure it has been brought up in various Lost forums". And obviously I wasn't the only one who hadn't seen it before.[Edited on February 13, 2008 at 2:33 PM. Reason : ]
2/13/2008 2:32:26 PM
I guess you forgot the part where you said "I'm really surprised I didn't hear about something like this earlier", hence my explanation that it was so old that everyone saw it during season one and of course would not be discussing it now.
2/13/2008 2:36:39 PM
No I didn't forget anything. It is you that forgot it.
2/13/2008 2:41:22 PM
HEY GUYS I THINK HENRY GALE IS ONE OF THE OTHERS
2/13/2008 2:45:52 PM
That was in Season 2. We are in Season 4 now.
2/13/2008 2:47:52 PM
More Lost news:
2/13/2008 3:58:42 PM
if you look closely that "one" island is actually a big island with a little island off right next to it and two reefs.

2/13/2008 11:30:39 PM
oh man, I just accidentally saw some screencaps of a scene in episode 5. kinda annoyed that I got spoiled, but holy shit it should be awesome to see what happens there.

I like the lost "pop up video" type thing they do before the new episodes. If there was a recent snapshot of Ben then that means he has been off of the island...contrary to what he said.
2/14/2008 9:00:57 PM
Oh snap. I knew he was one of the survivors since he found the chopper, but he must be some sort of a hired assassin?
2/14/2008 9:06:44 PM
yeah, Future Sayid is awesome. .... of course, so is present and past Sayid.
