i don't think sylar is being controlled by anyonehe just wanted to be special, and he figured out a way to do it...and it went to his headand (what we're supposed to believe at this point anyway), sylar found his way from the shack (where he "killed" candice) in the forest to that dirt road...he said he'd been walking for 3 days, no reason to believe he would lie about that
10/17/2007 10:00:28 AM
^^^ yeah, now that you mention it, it looks more like a canvas or wall behind him than the sky. ^^ that's unclear. Syler said he had been watching for 3 days, so it's possible he walked for 3 days, out of the jungle, and collapsed in the middle of the desert. but.... it still might have something to do with Candice and the illusions.[Edited on October 17, 2007 at 10:03 AM. Also I just remembered that he was still pretty wounded when he "killed" Candice. After he smacked her with the mug he was in a lot of pain, and that was just from the physical movement. I would think that walking through the jungle for three days without any medical treatment or antibiotics or something would be too difficult for him. After the Mexicans picked him up he didn't seem to have a wound or any noticeable pain. So either Candice is up to something or there is more backstory to how he go to the road.
10/17/2007 10:17:16 AM
hey, she makes illusions, for all we know, she just feigned death and is still lurking somewhere.

Isn't Claire's mother still alive? I thought she peaced out to Mexico after asking Nathan Petrelli for money. How far are Sylar and the twins from the border? They could meet up with her and something could happen there.
10/17/2007 5:22:26 PM
here is my thought on the roach - I could be way offThe first roach is seen at the end of season one after Sylar has been "killed"We saw Sylar last week without powers, he killed homegirl and there was no roachThis week he killed the guy and there was a roach. The next time we see Sylar we hear the ticking.Maybe the first roach signified the loss of his powers and the second one signified the return of his powers. He seemed to be feeling much better.
10/17/2007 7:43:26 PM
maybe gabrial is good
10/17/2007 7:45:06 PM
^^there have been more roach sitings than that. When Sylar was held captive, poked, and prodded in the Primatech building, there would be roaches crawling around on the floor as he lay there in misery.
10/17/2007 8:32:29 PM
yeah there were definitely more roaches in season 1. i don't even know if it only pertains to sylar because when parkman was in the primatech cell there was a roach next to him too.
10/19/2007 10:32:34 AM
So how is Bennett able to support a family of four and have the money to buy things like a new Nissan Rogue for Claire on the paycheck of a paper shop lackey?
10/19/2007 11:29:11 AM
maybe he had a stockpile of cash from his old job
10/19/2007 11:30:13 AM
^^^Maybe roaches have no plot significance at all and there's just a roach problem on the filming set. ^^I wondered about that too. Their house looks very decked out. He could very well have a stockpile of money, but he'd be burning it fast by merely being a Kinko's lackey, or whoever. Also, if they're trying for anonymity, why would he get a job that's related to his old cover job?
10/19/2007 11:50:05 AM
Yeah he could have had it stockpiled, but I would think they would be trying to ration it as much as possible and not go around buying brand new cars.
10/19/2007 12:01:35 PM
The only connection to the roaches that I have noticed is from the beginning of the first season where Shuresh(sp?) talked about them in one of his lectures and how they can be looked at as more evolved than mankind. the whole roaches thing drives me crazy as well.
10/19/2007 12:32:23 PM
10/19/2007 12:38:32 PM
ha...i'm glad someone brought up the money issue. yeah that's kinda bs having them live in an expensive area of america, in a nice ass house, and buying new cars on the 'salary'...pardon, 'wages' of a copy store guy. i would figure anonymity would be a random small town in north dakota. but i guess that's just not good television so i'll give them this one slip up.
10/19/2007 1:42:31 PM
tonight
10/22/2007 1:48:10 PM
New chick.New abilities.Sounds good.
10/22/2007 3:01:06 PM
my guess on bennet is that flyboy comes into the house, sees him and freaks outand flyes into him knocking him unconcious i dont know but it looks like a drive by, it doesnt necessarily mean clair or flyboy were involved
10/22/2007 4:20:03 PM
wtf boogeyman
10/22/2007 9:27:11 PM
cool, Parkman's dad looks like a real son-of-a-bitchbtw, Mr. Bennett and The Hatian walking through whatever European city that was supposed to be? Worse. Green Screen. Ever.
10/22/2007 9:28:39 PM
Nikki: Don't taze me, bro!

god i hate large ass pictures and links on pages
10/22/2007 9:37:29 PM
is it just me, or is Kristen Bell kind of cross-eyed.....
10/22/2007 9:45:05 PM
now that was badass
10/22/2007 9:50:53 PM
Kristen Bell is hot for surebut are they going to get anything accomplished this episode?
10/22/2007 9:51:40 PM
i thought they were doing pretty good tonightgot some movement on the Peter story. Found 2 new heroes, and discovered the powers of a third. Nikki is captured. Parkman and Nathan trapped in their own minds. at least we get to see Hiro a little bit. good movement overall, i think.i guess we don't see the Columbians and Sylar this week..... did we miss anyone else?
10/22/2007 9:55:07 PM
when did Sark join Heroes?totally lame
10/22/2007 9:56:36 PM
who/what is Sark?the Kristen Bell thing is a little too much Veronica Mars..... teenage girl, private investigator/snoop, who has to answer to her daddy still?.... not that i'm complaining
10/22/2007 10:00:49 PM
no Claires faggot friend, no mexicansok with me
10/22/2007 10:01:04 PM
Man, I hope though don't immediately take away the powers of the New Orleans chick. That'd be silly, like introducing the memory chick from last season that died almost immediately and seemed to serve no purpose.
10/22/2007 10:03:31 PM
As much as it pains me to say thisThis season blows.
10/22/2007 10:07:23 PM
^^ nah, "memory chick" was put to good use - Sylar killed her to make himself smart. Now "wireless chick"? that was a waste
10/22/2007 10:11:31 PM
^Hiro went back in time and saved her, but she ended up dying in six months of a tumor or something
10/22/2007 10:12:36 PM
Sylar didnt kill the memory chickand who is Kristen Bells Dad?
10/22/2007 10:20:58 PM
^I would guess, Bob, bald dude that Nikki attacked
10/22/2007 10:22:21 PM
I'm assuming they want us to think her dad is Bob, but I have a feeling there will be a swerve with that. And Sark was one of the villains in Alias.
10/22/2007 10:23:17 PM
I was thinking that another twist could be that she's Parkman's half-sister or something
10/22/2007 10:28:41 PM
10/22/2007 10:32:52 PM
I thought he thwarted it. It seems illogical that he would resolve to let Sylar take her. Not only would it be a terrible way for her to go, but it'd also give Sylar another power. Were they unaware of Sylar at that point? I don't remember. That was before the whole cheerleader incident, so I guess that they wouldn't have known too much about him.
10/22/2007 10:35:27 PM
I was thinking Parkman's sister as well, but who is going to screw his dad?
10/22/2007 10:35:31 PM
According to Dad, the power develops into something more than just reading minds. He could easily "persuade" whomever he wants to do so.
10/22/2007 10:36:50 PM
I'm pretty sure she still died by the hand of Sylar. I don't fully recall the episode off hand now, but that was the impression I got when I saw it last year. *shrug*
10/22/2007 10:41:34 PM
^Ya, I don't think it matters much now, but I don't think Sylar has exhibited that ability at all.Is Peter's showdown with the electricity chick going to be all that interesting? He's already got her power plus lots more even though he doesn't exactly remember how to use them. The graphic novel suggests that he has an easier time of it around the Irish chick as do the events in the episodes. I could easily see her ending up in danger as his motivation to unleash his abilities.
10/22/2007 10:47:36 PM
10/23/2007 12:53:24 AM
^^ his powers appear to take over when he's threatened, so i think once that bitch comes around, he'll just stomp her a new asshole
10/23/2007 6:42:30 AM
One thing I thought of last night... assuming that Peter's memory was erased by the Haitan and not by some other process from the company, that means that Peter potentially has the Haitan's power. That means that if he were to square off against Sylar again, he could "disable" his powers and destroy him completely. But even if this is the case, I'm pretty sure Peter would just puss out again.
