That's still pretty weak. There should be some kind of stronger action taken also by Student Conduct. As it stands, they just take your eligibility, which may be worth the $20-$40 they might make on a student ticket if they have friends that can just sign up for them.

I'm up for it, but we don't really have the ability to touch the penalties used by Student Conduct -- they focus as much on making sure everything is a "learning experience" as they do punishment. I can make the pitch to the Chief Justice though if y'all want.

If anyone wants to come talk to the Senate on that particular policy -- either in favor of what we've got now, what's being proposed, or something even stronger -- we've got meetings on 11/14 and 11/28 and have a period at the beginning of the agenda where any student can speak on anything they want.

does anyone know if they are seat nazis at bball games? I havent used a student ticket since I was an undergrad and I'm not sure anymore... My ticket is in 111 and my g/f has a ticket for 113.

not sure if anyone that's actually connected with student ticketing still reads these threads, but is there any way that we can get confirmation that the online system is correctly distributing all of the student ticket allotment for basketball games? I can understand not getting a ticket if the demand is truly that high, but I managed to finally get on demand tickets for both of the exhibition games and it didn't seem like there were enough students there to fill all of the student seats.

I'm aware that with it being general admission they wouldn't all be sitting in the normal student seating sections, but there were still plenty of empty seats and there were clearly a lot of non-students in attendance. I just want to be sure that all the student tickets are being used and that there's not empty seats in the student sections because the system didn't give them all out.

i'd wait until near/just after tipoff when everyone is their seats, and ask the person beside you if they'd trade seats with your gf

alot of times for these pre-ACC games and especially in the Christmas break times, they sell alot of the student section because the demand simply isnt there with everyone going home or not interested in teh games

its better to have half the section alloted and fill it than fill half of the alloted section...u understand?

people that have never been or companies that want to give their employees some nice nights out

there are numerous groups that do HUGE purchases through athletics and give the tickets away.

More info in the morning. New Orleans never even went into request and now in on demand no one can get them. Even can cancel and try to request 2.5 seconds later and no ticket. Definately messed up. Respond back tomorrow night.

fwiw, if you really want to go to the game that bad, you can buy a "guest ticket" fr 15 bucks, just call the ticketing office. I mean, I know its shitty having to buy a guest ticket, but at least you get a ticket. As of yesterday, they had some in the lower section.

all the student tickets could very well be gone. They substantially reduce the number of student tickets for these earlier games. I know they sell all the 300 level student tickets and I wouldn't be surprised if they sell the lower bowl student tickets too, just distributing the actual floor seats to students.
