4/21/2007 8:38:32 PM
What? Plugged the sponsor? I missed something! BUT I WAS RIGHT HERE!
4/21/2007 8:43:43 PM
He said something to the effect of "Dear Lord, be with us tonight for the running of this the Subway Fresh Fit 500"
4/21/2007 8:45:32 PM
They just said that Kyle Busch should listen to Jimmy V's speech about never giving up!
4/21/2007 10:56:01 PM
Wow, I think Jeff one that on sheer willpower.
4/21/2007 11:42:36 PM
haha. I love it when gordon wins. It's funny to see all the shit start flying down on the track.
4/21/2007 11:44:04 PM
Jeff earned that one... the #3 flag was a nice touch.BTW, I'll bet he was cussin' like a motherfucker when Tony passed him there for a moment.
4/21/2007 11:46:09 PM
nice gesture there with the flag
4/21/2007 11:48:07 PM
is anyone impressed with the COT races so far? comparing the racing, i dont think its all too hot. the busch race last night was much better then tonights race. (granted, it is the busch series and they race more risky then the cup guys..)
4/21/2007 11:54:48 PM
How the hell is Tony gonna decline an interview after finishing 2nd? He made a bawllz out move to take the lead 3-wide and then Jeff just willed his way out front... what's there to be mad about (other than allowing Montoya to finish the race?)^Bristol and Martinsville are always exciting by nature... Pheonix is just a total shit track if you ask me. I want to see how it's gonna run on the 1.5 mile tri-ovals... I think those are the modern heart and soul of the sport.[Edited on April 21, 2007 at 11:58 PM. Reason : COT]
4/21/2007 11:55:39 PM
I can see why anyone finishing 2nd would be mad, but he's given interviews mad before^^idk..I liked the Gordon/Stewart exhange tonight...these races have been ok IMO. I think they'll get better as everyone becomes more comfortable with them, and willing to try more things.[Edited on April 21, 2007 at 11:59 PM. Reason : d]
4/21/2007 11:58:00 PM
I can understand him being upset. But it's not like he was somehow wronged.. he raced great and got beat, he just as easily could have won... Jeff may have rubbed him a little, but Smokey should be the last one in the world to get pissed about that. Tony is overdue for a win but so was Jeff. Tony should have given an interview. He owes it to his fans for what he's getting paid.
4/22/2007 12:00:23 AM
He don't care about his fans. He's just there to cause drama. And for hit little hissy fits he's had this year, I really hope he don't win a single race.I had to listen to the finish on the radio, but I was hollering in the car and woke my boyfriend and Grits up! Tony just got beat when he tried his hardest, probably ever, to win.Jeff deserved this, and he earned it!
4/22/2007 4:09:06 PM
Jeff did "earn" something when he re-passed Tony, but he is the luckiest son-of-a-bitch in the world to pit at just the right time. They were saying on tv it was the "call of the day" but they were just lucky IMO. My driver is Kyle Busch, but I think Denny was the best out there, it was a shame about the speeding. He said in the post-race that he really wanted to win this one for VT, and he sure drove like he did.[Edited on April 22, 2007 at 4:21 PM. Reason : e]

I like how NASCAR is trying to pass Phoenix off as a short track now (Ive heard it more than once this weekend on multiple networks) since people are starting to get tired of the same old boring tracks every week...not that Phoenix is one of the really boring ones, but its still no Bristol/Wilkesboro. I wonder if Darlington is a short track too?

4/25/2007 4:03:03 PM
I don't know for sure, but I would not be surprised if Stewart got the idea from Hamlin's post-race comments. Denny said (paraphrased) "I did everything I could to win this race for VT...I don't know what the speeding thing was all about, I went the same speed each time, I guess that was part of this week's entertainment

OMG...what a whiner! Thats the funniest crap I've read in a long time!So...from now on lets just run the races. Who cares if there's oil, trash and beer cans on the track! I can't believe he is complaining about something being done for their safety, and the safety of the fans who keep them driving! Hey, while we're doing away with safety, lets stop using the HANS device that saved his life last year when he went sailing through the air!
4/25/2007 4:55:11 PM
Where's the oil, where's the trash, and where's the beer can when the caution is thrown? That's the problem. It's gotten so bad that Fox has stated on the broadcast, "If we see it, we'll show it to you." Half the time, you're never shown the debris that brings out the caution.[Edited on April 25, 2007 at 6:22 PM. Reason : .]

I know in last weeks race I saw rubber and some metal...cuz they made a big to do about it.

4/29/2007 5:30:21 PM
the 'overdrive' name is one of the lamest things i've ever heardyou knew some dumbshit was going to race like a moronand now gordon breaks earnhardt's record, at talledega, under cautionahaha[Edited on April 29, 2007 at 5:40 PM. Reason : ]

4/29/2007 5:39:24 PM
hahahaha TONY STEWART!! *point and laugh*This can't be the end of the Overdrive finish...They were talking about people good on gas now may be in trouble if there was a wreck and had to stay on the track till they get the wrecked car off and THEN finish. And I like the name "Overdrive"! NEVERMIND!HELL YEAH!!! GO JEFF!!!!He beat his mentor's record, and you know he (Dale Sr.) would be proud! On his (Dale Sr.) birthday!Sucks it was under caution, but thats just how it goes.[Edited on April 29, 2007 at 5:43 PM. Reason : ]
4/29/2007 5:42:55 PM
it's over. They only do one attempt at the green white checker. They were talking about if it happened during the caution before.

Oh, I see...

4/29/2007 5:53:56 PM
Someone PLEASE shut Tony Stewart up!! He's such a bullshitter! And he's whining really bad today! He was like "I don't wanna say anything till I see a replay" Showed him, he complained that he couldn't see HIS wreck, then said that the 38 car hit him for no reason and he must have been still mad from yesterday's Bush race...COME ON!!! NOONE BUYS YOUR CROCODILE TEARS!!!!^haha, that last pic reminds me of blasphemour's smile. [Edited on April 29, 2007 at 5:56 PM. Reason : ]
4/29/2007 5:55:43 PM
that was bullshit. they had just finished explaining the rules and they said that if a caution comes out during the "overdrive" that the field is frozen and they use video evidence to determine the results. stewart was up there in the top 10 getting wrecked when the caution was waving, so if the field was truly frozen there then he should have finished in the top 10. what gives?
4/29/2007 5:57:16 PM
The caution did not come out immediately...it happened for a few seconds, while the unharmed cars got out of the way...then it came out. He had been passed and was not in the top 10 anymore once they threw the caution.
4/29/2007 5:59:38 PM
i have it on dvr. you can see the guy waving the yellow flag with stewart still in the top 10.
4/29/2007 6:17:37 PM
4/29/2007 6:19:14 PM
^^ i saw that too. as soon as the guys in the back started wrecking you could see them waving the yellow. at that time tony was definitely still in the top ten, and i don't even like tony.
4/29/2007 6:22:22 PM
It's funny how they didn't throw the caution for Reutimann until about 2 seconds after Gordon made the pass. Hell, he was blowing up well before that, in the middle of the pack.
4/29/2007 6:32:40 PM
that "Lets go single file for 30 straight laps" after back to back wrecks sure had Nascar's name written all over it
4/29/2007 6:38:13 PM
4/29/2007 9:25:49 PM
^ ding dingjust because the field is set by that moment, stewart cant sit on the backstretch with his thumb up his asshe wrecks more people than 80% of the guys in nextel cup, but he always gets pissed when someone wrecks himi wish he would retire, he whines like a carolina fan
4/29/2007 9:29:01 PM
^^ I just remembered that. ^AMEN!
4/29/2007 9:41:37 PM
All I have to say is fuck the people who wreck on a GWC and are running 25th like they are gonna win the race or something (Johnny Sauter...). They rob us of a good green flag finish up front
4/30/2007 1:22:37 AM
4/30/2007 8:38:42 AM
Well, the name fits properly. And I like things that make sense. Which is why I don't like you.
4/30/2007 6:24:24 PM
Remember when NASCAR wasn't full of shitty bureaucratic decisions and pussy-ass drivers?Remember when they just fucking raced the cars?Remember when DW fought Dale Sr. in turn three at Richmond?Remember when they fucking ran races at tracks in North Carolina?FUCK NASCAR.
4/30/2007 9:29:39 PM
im more pissed at NASCAR for taking the history away from NASCAR.....everything is becoming for the future and the big moneyall these shitty huge tracks in california and other places are full of shit that can't even sell out. The Car of Tomorrow belongs at those shitty tracks
