I submit that last pass as proof of thread title.

looks like atlanta's on their way to getin this one
10/22/2006 4:38:02 PM
fuck
10/22/2006 4:41:40 PM
If the Steelers lose this they are out of the playoffs
10/22/2006 4:42:30 PM
it's over
10/22/2006 4:42:55 PM
vick made the game winning play. 3rd and long in OT, polamalu rushes, he gets away, hits crumpler for 23. It's a play probably only vick could make.
10/22/2006 4:47:32 PM
I really don't think my cock is big enough for you all to simultaneously go choke on it.I'm putting a signup sheet on my wall and you guys will just have to pick times during the week.
10/22/2006 5:03:47 PM
he's shown what he's capable of with his arm...now he just has to do it more than once or twice a season
10/22/2006 5:05:42 PM
what's that old saying about nuts and blind squirrels
10/22/2006 5:06:29 PM
hey congrats on your boy finally playing like an actual quarterback, it's a shame it took 6 seasons to do it. if he keeps playing like that though (ie the rest of this season and most of next) i'll concede that vick is an elite passer. until then, he's a below average qb that had a remarkable day.and just for fun:rallydurham:
10/22/2006 5:07:39 PM
he does this once a year
10/22/2006 5:08:23 PM
should we get the Damon Huard is a Golden God thread goin soon here?
10/22/2006 5:09:01 PM
^^o rly?4 TD passes? don't think so, but nice try.
10/22/2006 5:11:51 PM
i think he's just talking about completing more than 50 % of his passes
10/22/2006 5:13:32 PM

Yes the defense that allowed 400 passing yards and 38 points was a MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR.Also Warrick Dunn did essentially nothing today so don't even pull that card. Under 3 yards a carry and was responsible for causing an INT at the end of the first half when the Falcons were inside the 20.I think we should just ignore Vick's 4 TD's and his near game winning drive in regulation (missed FG, nothing new for the Falcons) and his game winning drive and game winning amazing play to outrun Polamalu on 3rd down and convert on a long pass downfield.Lets just ignore all that and hang this win on the defense that got shredded.
10/22/2006 5:26:43 PM
The defense recovered 3 fumbles, and took away scoring opportunities for Pitt/gave Atlanta good amazing field position. When you have scoring drives of 22, 25, 26, and 51 yards (these are touchdowns, mind you, not field goals), it's okay to give the defense some credit for that, is it not?[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 5:30 PM. Reason : You'd have to be a special kind of shitty to squander those opportunities]
10/22/2006 5:30:03 PM
seriously
10/22/2006 5:36:25 PM
Alright lets put this to bed.Steelers drive chart:1st drive: 42 yard kick return, 48 yard drive. FIELD GOAL2nd drive: 66 yards. TOUCHDOWN3rd drive: 88 yards. TOUCHDOWN4th drive: First play Roethlisberger fumbles the snap. (sweet defense!)4th drive: 80 yards. TOUCHDOWNHALFTIME.So in the first half in five possesions the Steelers managed 3 TD's and 1 FG. ATL's only stop was on a botched snap.Yeah, thats TERRIFIC defense. Clearly, the defense was the key.2nd half:1st drive: 3 and out. the first fucking stop of the game for ATL defense.2nd drive: 16 yards then Willie Parker fumble. hooray, they made a play!3rd drive: 80 yards. TOUCHDOWN (back to normal)4th drive: 3 and out. Lets remind each other this is Charlie fucking Batch at QB okay.5th drive: 79 yards. TOUCHDOWN (again)Those three fumbles you're talking about? One was a botched snap so we're not gonna give the defense a lot of credit for that. One was on a punt return so thats not technically the defense either. They got LIT up. If anything the defense was a detriment. Whoever heard of giving the defense a lot of credit for only giving up 38 points? That would be awesome in college basketball. In the next thread you might as well make a case for UNC having a good run defense. You'd probably have an easier time.[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 5:51 PM. Reason : a]
10/22/2006 5:47:41 PM
glad to see he finally broke his 6 season career record of 2 touchdowns
10/22/2006 5:51:17 PM
^^ I'm not saying give the defense a ton of credit. But when you have 4 of 7 scoring drives cover half the field... you can't just completely ignore that contribution and go VICK THIS VICK THAT ad ignoratium. Which, dear sir, you do. After each and every game the Falcons win. You downplay everyone else's contributions to the team, and play up Vick's days, even on those when he puts up mundane numbers or just, God Vick forbid, has a bad day and the team wins despite him instead of because of him. Two of his four TD passes came on drives of less than 30 yards; one was on the only play of the drive. Not to mention, it was to the TE you claim has hands of stone, but I don't see you recanting for saying that now. Nonetheless, take away those easy-scoring opportunities, and there's no guarantee that Vick throws for more than two TDs OR that the defense even stops the Steelers. Will I give him credit for a good game? Yes, even if only because he did make the most of the opportunities presented to him. Golden God (or any less literal equivalent)? Nope - still gotta show me more.[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 6:16 PM. Reason : ~]

i dont even fee like this thread is worth anybodies time anymore, it is obvious that Rally only has a one-sided argument. He won't even answer questions that are backed by hard statistics or give any comments at all about what Vick does wrong, and anytime at all he does something good, he will talk about that no problem. Rally, if you are going to try and defend your stance so much, why won't you comment on anybody elses points besides just giving Vick credit for every Falcons win and blaming his team for all their losses?
10/22/2006 11:28:03 PM
10/22/2006 11:35:15 PM
another 3 passing TD day for vick? say it aint so, faggots
10/29/2006 3:39:26 PM
Pretty accurate today too, gotta give him props for that
10/29/2006 3:41:48 PM
yeah right now he's at 70%even with 1 less td pass, this game is probably an even better performance than last week, although i'd say the steelers D is better than cincy's.either way, that's 2 in a row for vick that i'll have to concede as great performances. i still don't think he can keep it up, but he may finally be on his way to becoming a good qb in the nfl.
10/29/2006 3:48:43 PM
had a good game today.that said, it drives me crazy how many bad roughing the passer calls the falcons get. that one toward the end of the game was flat out retarded, and its not even the stupidest one i've seen vick and falcons get.
10/29/2006 4:11:57 PM
They should really consider playing Schaub cause Vick cant pass!!!!!!!!!!!!20/28 291 yards, 3 TD9 carries 55 yardsAnother dominant day for Vick. ho hum.
10/29/2006 4:32:01 PM
WHOFUCKINGCARES
10/29/2006 4:35:25 PM
^^ yep, good game for Vick TODAY and last week as well... I am still waiting on you to comment on all the posts asking you questions about his bad days though? Still pondering what your response might be Rally?
10/29/2006 5:30:25 PM
that sometimes QB's have bad games???This is the NFL you know.If the defense has a great gameplan and your skill positions don't come to play then it's easy to have a bad day. With Vick though the Falcons can avoid spending big $$ on skill position players because Vick makes the offense potent anyway. Then they can afford to load up on defensive players like John Abraham. Now, they just need to load up on healthy ones instead.
10/29/2006 5:50:14 PM
face it Rally, the only games that you choose to evaluate Vick's "golden godedness" are the ones in which he performs well, you totally disregard all the games he plays well below average and blame them on his teammates. On the same note, you give all the credit to Vick everytime the Falcons win, regardless of what everybody else does. Almost any QB in the league could be regarded as a Golden God if you only chose to evaluate him on his good games, it is important though, to judge a QB on his consistent effectiveness, rather then his potential or what he does less then half the time.
10/29/2006 6:08:24 PM
actually you need to face it.Vick is balling out this year. Im evaluating the entire body of work.He is really fucking good most weeks.
10/29/2006 6:11:40 PM
10/29/2006 6:13:51 PM
Pro Bowl200320052007He missed the 2004 pro bowl because he was injured that season. So basically in 3 of the past 4 seasons he was healthy he was a pro bowler. That's not bad. Most teams would take that i think.
10/29/2006 6:18:18 PM
yeah, all the teams that have a below average QB and would like to upgrade to average... actually, not even all of them b/c not all teams would overpay him to the amount that he requires to grace the field with his averageness
10/29/2006 6:19:42 PM
and to address your comment that Vick is "balling out this year", if by that you mean having a QB rating of 73.2 (good for 26th in the league), completing 52.4% of his passes, throwing 7 touchdowns (4 of which came in one game) and 5 interceptions... if thats what you mean by "balling out this year", then yes, he is indeed balling out
10/29/2006 6:24:46 PM
10/29/2006 6:25:15 PM
A) he has 10 TD passesB) His rushing numbers are borderline phenomenonalC) The Falcons (despite having an abysmal defense) are 5-2See you in Hawaii.
10/29/2006 6:31:15 PM
7 of those TD's came in two games, the other 5 games he has 2 TD's and 5 INT's .... 2 great games out of 7 still averages out to, what do you know, BELOW AVERAGE!!!!
10/29/2006 6:34:47 PM
I think what it all comes down to people is his definition of things like "phenomenal" and "average" and other grading type adjectives.maybe the guy just has low standards.[Edited on October 29, 2006 at 6:46 PM. Reason : .]
10/29/2006 6:37:46 PM
I'm pretty sure you're just trolling me now.Phenomenonal Games:Pittsburgh, CincyGreat games:Carolina, Tampa, ArizonaBelow average game:NY GiantsPoor game:NO Saints So he's had 5 great games and 2 "bad" ones. Tough to argue with that.
10/29/2006 6:44:59 PM
Marcus stone could have great games against tampa bay and arizona.
10/29/2006 6:47:14 PM
Dude, what kind of fucked up logic do you have with your definitions of great and whatnot?Carolina game - 10/22 140 yds, 48 rushing - wow, he didn't even break 200 yds of total offense and was below 50% passingThat's a GREAT game!!
10/29/2006 7:24:31 PM
Fucking jesus you guys are just obnoxious.Vick was great against the Panthers and everyone noted that after the game. THey beat the living shit out of us.Now 7 weeks later the revisionist history professors are trying to say it wasnt a good game. Before you were whining about his stats not being up to par.Now his stats are off the charts and you're still blabbing. If he looks great on TV, looks great on the field, and looks great on paper then he's great. Just accept it.Accept the fact that a black QB can be great, okay?
10/29/2006 7:32:22 PM
damn thats what it is, we're trying to hold the black man down. [Edited on October 29, 2006 at 7:34 PM. Reason : .]
10/29/2006 7:33:59 PM
Are Donovon McNabb and Steve McNair not black enough for you?
10/29/2006 7:34:10 PM
Steve McNair is not a great QB and has not even been a good one for several years.Vick is close to making a case to be better than McNabb I think most would agree.
