I would say give the deck a quick sand to get all the glossy spots off of it. The best would probably be to sand through the old hotcoat then work from there. I would say use lam resin for the patch then go over it with the hot coat. You will be able to get the edges to blend in much better and just look better overall. As for the amount of cloth I would rather have 2 layers of 4 oz. Perhaps one layer 4-6 feet over the most used section of the deck and then another 1 or two layers of 4oz where you would knee paddle. (assuming you knee paddle)If you put a tint or pigment in you will pretty much have to go with the lam + hot coat method (tint or pigment in the lam) otherwise the sanding will make light and dark spots. You would also have to be careful not to get any of the colored resin where you don't want it. Putting the rice paper between the deck and patch should be fine. The rice paper would probably be the better option over the tint or pigment if you want the board to look really nice.If you are just fixing this board up for the heck of it go for the tint or pigment, it is really good practice without messing up on a newer nicer board. Same goes for the patch, might as well try everything on this board.
Yeah -- I understand the blind allegiance to Reggie and complete ignorance of the facts. How could you not like him? The most hyped player to come out of college in decades. A heisman trophy. Great stats. Even greater highlight reels. He was supposed to be the #1 pick in the draft if it wasn't for the Texans' moment of lunacy. The team signed him for a ton of cash and we all want him to succeed. But I can not fault anyone, myself included, for at least being a little alarmed at his current pace. A 2.6 ypc average does not even make for a PEDESTRIAN NFL rb. The contributions he has made to the team have not yet risen to the level of abilities that he is supposed to have. One TD in 8 games thus far, that came on a punt return. His average per reception is about 6 yards. These #s are usually from a back-up fullback. You can thrown around "decoy" and "defenses have to focus on him" all you want. Right now, he is the highest paid decoy in NFL history. I love the wins. I wouldn't trade stats for those wins any day. All we are saying is that this guy's stats should be far superior than what they are now. People are entirely justified in questioning Bush's production at this point. Forgive us if we'd like to just see SOMETHING from the Saints highest paid rookie in history.
[Edited on November 6, 2006 at 4:40 PM. Reason : ~]

Stan Marsh has hit rock bottom. He's got no job, no bicycle and his only way out of a bad situation, is to coach the local pee wee hockey team. Once a hotshot pee wee hockey player himself, Stan Marsh has tried to put those days behind him. But he's still living with the memory of how let his team down when he missed the winning shot in the big game. Now, he's about to find out that being a coach means facing your past. He's determined to show his kids what it's like to be a winner!
