quite interesting, thankslooks like Wisc. it is then more than likely
1/19/2006 6:09:10 PM
I still don't believe it. I mean, he "eliminated them"... so the shock factor pick is there.... I just can't see him going to Wisconsin. I think if he goes anywhere it's Ole Miss with State a close 2nd. He'll have to redshirt as Wisconsin. Just doesn't make sense
1/19/2006 6:10:47 PM
yea it really doesnt especially with that pickup they just made at QB...same goes for Ole Miss, I mean I hope the kid comes here for offensive purposes...but it wouldnt surprise me if he pulls out the trick hatand as for when it will be aired and where, any word on that? what channel site etc.?
1/19/2006 6:12:29 PM
3:00 PM Pacific time...which is 6:00 East...right?And it's not going to be televised or anything. I'm guessing the way you'll hear it first is from Packpride. Keep checking the front pageOf note is that he "eliminated" Wisconsin in one of his articles about 3 days ago. Well, he's going to have 3 helmets to choose between. NC State, Ole Miss... and Wisconsin...?[Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:17 PM. Reason : ]

OM/NCSU bound. "COSQB7" was a joke that the "regulars" in there came up with. There's a tight bunch in there that give newcomers hell.BTW, we picked up a few commitments this week... and there are a few more that haven't gone "public" yet. 2 of them come from Marcus Hudson's HS and one is a OL from FL.
1/19/2006 6:20:39 PM
1/19/2006 6:23:23 PM
pretty sure that wasnt a joke at 100 a laughthen again why would Brent pay 300 bucks just to look at the chat, steep price for a college kidand yea, its still three helmets...so that still gives Wisc. a possibility....looks like by eliminating them he actually just meant thats where im going....gonna be interesting though.

Some recruits get free access. Jonathan Hannah used to post on Packpride all the time. There have been numerous occasions where recruits posted on the premium boards I have no idea if Shaffer was really one of those recruits... never heard him menioned as "being on the board". Also, back in the day you could actually change your screen name when logging into chat, but you can't any more. Maybe they figured out how to log onto it under that name. I remember right during his recruitment, I logged onto chat (before they updated and stopped people from doing it) under "MustafaShakur" and my computer froze up do to 10,000 pm's being sent at once [Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:33 PM. Reason : screw Hannah, BTW]
1/19/2006 6:26:39 PM
if he goes to wisconsin, he will have tricked me again
1/19/2006 6:29:06 PM
Hannah's dad was a NCSU grad and former football player... He subscribed to the site.Recruits read the free boards mainly, there's no way in hell it is legal for these sites to give recruits free subscriptions.Wiscy might still be a choice since they had an in-home recently, but it's gotta be Ole Miss or State.
1/19/2006 6:29:23 PM
So how come he posted on the Virginia Tech and South Carolina boards as well?I agree...seems like somewhat of a rule breaker.... but it is unaffiliated with the University[Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:34 PM. Reason : in premium, that is]
1/19/2006 6:32:16 PM
Maybe he subscribed to them as well? The family had $$$$.How many other recruits do you know of that read/post on the boards? I know one kid we are actively recruiting and the only board he reads is the free board because he doesn't have a subscription for the Premium Board. And this is a legit prospect, who we would give access too if we were allowed. But who knows. Recruiting is a dirty dirty subject.
1/19/2006 6:34:19 PM
alright....well I just logged into chat and asked one of the "reliable" ones that said Wisconsin earlier... They were fucking with a rebels fan who paid $10 (For a month subscription) so he could see what we were saying in chat. This shit went on for about 2 hrs today... so I thought they were seriousHe says he has no info, but like everyone else, gut says NC State. Neglect my previous post(s)Maybe TheWordMan just hasn't updated his info. Like I said, he said Wisconsin... but about 1.5 weeks ago[Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:42 PM. Reason : ]

bahaha
1/19/2006 6:42:24 PM
once again...I have no clue to where this kid will go...that just threw it all completely offOM or NCSU now i guess, with a side of Wisc.tomorrows gonna be a nervous day
1/19/2006 6:43:16 PM
hahaPWNT
1/19/2006 6:43:51 PM
TWM said it was Wiscy a week or two ago but in chat a couple nights ago he said NC State.[Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:45 PM. Reason : d]
1/19/2006 6:45:05 PM
really... did not know that. I missed chat the other night becuase I was at dinner. Interesting [Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:47 PM. Reason : In that case, I guess put me down for NC State]
1/19/2006 6:45:57 PM
then NCSU it is, i hope...maybe, who knows.Im curious as to what we are doing with Greco by the way...all that speed redshirted
1/19/2006 6:47:09 PM
Safety[Edited on January 19, 2006 at 6:48 PM. Reason : I'm guessing here. Not a good H.S. QB... probably doesn't have the hands for a WR...anyone?]]

I'm through worrying about Shaeffer. I think he'd help us, but his recruitment is worse than that of Ricky-Jean Francois (If you remember him). Dude plays the game well. Win or lose, meh. I care not.
1/19/2006 6:51:33 PM
I've learned over the years as a State fan a promised pick/win is never thatbeing a state fan really humbles you...and teaches you to be a pessimist
1/19/2006 6:51:35 PM
You have to look at everything related to our sports programs and make it an excuse to get drunk...whether it be a win or lose situation.

P.S Online streaming of B.S's press conference tomorrow at 6http://www.supersport930.com/Looks bad coming from a mississippi station
1/19/2006 10:22:21 PM
^yeah that hurtsit is all but wrapped up in my mind, that is a damn mississippi sports talk stationthey must know something down there, b/c they have a pretty good recruiting class down there, unlike ours the shaeffer thing should not make or break their class
1/19/2006 10:45:17 PM
Hey, Louisville was the only school that covered Justin Burke's announcement. Wouldn't look too much into it... I think I heard that PackPride will be covering from the press conference (As will Wiscy and Ole Miss). Interesting, but not OMF NO! if you ask me
1/19/2006 10:47:58 PM
^^their class next year so far is pretty nice...ranked something like #11 on scout.com
1/19/2006 11:57:33 PM
little less than an hour away now
1/20/2006 5:01:06 PM
So with Brent Schaffer out of the picture and the potential of all the guys he might have brought with him, will our recruiting class remain around #46 (Scout.com), or are we waiting for any more big fish?
1/20/2006 6:39:03 PM
Don't worry...I'm walking on next year as a WR....I'm a big target for Stoner at 6-1, 140I got a friend that can walk on as a TE at 5-8, 160[Edited on January 20, 2006 at 6:41 PM. Reason : ]

yea man, im 6'3 160, my 40 time is about 5.01that makes me an WR right? maybe a CB?
1/20/2006 6:49:38 PM
Several bigtime recruits in town this weekend. Not many guys, but the ones that are here are basically all 3-4 stars.

ECU fans are idiots. First of all they're reporting that Josh Adams has commited to us...not sure if he has(don't think so yet) but one of their responses to that could be the dumbest thing I've ever read:
1/23/2006 3:47:24 PM
Fuck ECU/said
1/23/2006 3:50:25 PM
end of said?
1/23/2006 4:08:54 PM

1/23/2006 4:31:20 PM
Hahahabut seriouslyWhy would Josh Adams come play here unless he already knows he doesnt want to play RB? On that same note, why THE FUCK would he go to EZU, period?
1/23/2006 4:35:01 PM
^I think by "committed to us" he meant NC Statethat being said, Adams is a bit small to be a starting running back at a major D1 program in my opiniona good option for him would be to come to NCSU and be a flanker/tremain hall type guy for a year or two, and see if he can swole upother than that he will be wakes number 2 RB for a few years, and maybe get to start for that crap team his senior yearI do not honestly think that JA ever really considered ECU that hard....but I could be wrong
1/23/2006 4:38:48 PM
i think the only reason he was considering them was there was a chance he wouldn't make the grades to get into state or wake...so ecu would've been an option.
1/23/2006 4:55:20 PM
^^ Yeah I know he was talking about State...I just wanted to do the hypothetical question for both schools. I definately think chuck would find a place for him, but Blackman is going to be playing the slot this year isnt he? If he came and redshirted, he could potentially see an assload of PT by his redshirt sophmore year at receiver...that would be his ideal situation I think.[Edited on January 23, 2006 at 4:57 PM. LaMarcus Bond just committed to the Packgood job chuckhave heard rumors that grades may be an issue, but here is to hoping he is ok
1/23/2006 7:58:15 PM
his size bothers me a little bit. he's a little undersized for a WR (some say he's 5'8 at best) but let's hope he can be our Steve Smith.
