oh yeah i mean i know how you'd do them, i just never thought of that before

i never used cables much, the movement always felt weird, use to do tricep pushdowns like a mf though

I've been doing my chest workouts in the morning and going back and doing triceps at night. Gym closed early today. But I like using bands or chains to close grip w/. Too bad I left my Bands in Raleigh .

with my shoulder injuries, that's pretty much all they want me doing (so i have to go real light on db bench).... when i wanna throw on the weight, i gotta use a machine press

for those of you that deadlift at carmichael....

where do you usually do it?

I've seen some EZ curl bars to load weights onto but not a reg. barbell ( I usually use the 2 smaller weight rooms tho)

I'm in Northern Virginia right now and my gym has chains.

I have an empty garage at my apartment that I have been thinking about putting in a rack, bench and getting chains and everything.

I have a bench and about 1000lbs worth of olympic weights back home. when I get a house this summer, I want to go out and get a power rack and set up some chains for training at home.

My only problem with working out at home is it limits what I can safely do. 5x5 training and doggcrapp training aren't really possible without people around to spot you. Volume training just isn't working for me anymore.

just thought I'd drop this link for ya'll. normally I just buy Optimum Nutrition, but I'm tempted to make a large order from here since it has been so highly recommended. You can custom order how you want your protein supplement to be composed, and their prices are a lot better for the product than anything you can get in the store. They can also add in dextrose and maltodextrin along with BCAA's and vitamins/minerals for making a superior post workout shake. I'm tempted to order about 20lbs of an ion-exchange whey/BCAA/glutamine/dextrose/maltodextrin mix because that should be cheaper than what I'm currently doing by mixing ON Whey with grape juice.

because they're not charging enough for them to be able to justify putting something like dianabol or winstrol into their protein powder. they got to turn a profit somewhere.

Besides, I know some guys that compete in tested bodybuilding events that use this stuff, and those guys get tested religiously for juice.

those charts don't work. the only chart I've seen that came close only went up to 5 reps working weight and used different factors for bench, squat, and deadlift. I think it was in one of the WestSide Barbell writeups.

For example that chart says that with me benching 315 for 10 I should be able to Max 410. in reality it's closer to 385. However I can deep squat 405 for 6 reps under constant tension, which correlates to 478. that's fairly close to my PR of 485. I can deadlift 405 about 6 times without rest intervals, but my PR is 525 in the squat. that's a difference of almost 50lbs from the chart.

If you want to find out your 1 rep max, just start using heavier weights for lighter reps and just do the damn thing when you feel ready.

this week im doing a mainantence workout

all my lifts were 3 sets of 10 except for the push jerks and the power cleans


normally im doing 3 sets of 5 for power and intensity, and my core workouts are like back extensions and plate walks

and about 200 reps of abs in either a circuit or physio crunches

I used to do high volume training, but lately I've switched to 1-2 sets of compound exercises with only 2-4 sets per muscle group, and it's working rather well.

This summer I'm going to switch to a 5x5 system again.
