yeah i was thinking the knife was made of some kryptonian metal that hurt him just like kryptonite. also, did lionel say that his scientists HAD or HADN'T retrieved the key? I didn't catch which one he said...

and i believe Jor El was acting through his father. We will learn more about that in the coming episodes I believe.

yeah, but then it was put back into the cave wall when lionel and mr. kent got in a fight in the caves, remember. the key was sealed into the cave wall, but then we saw Christopher Reeve character (Dr. Swann) with the key.

and in tonight's episode, clark said, "well isn't the key still in the cave" and lionel said, "my scientists *something* retrieved it"
i didn't hear if he said have or haven't retrieved it.

someone posted this over on the kryptonsite messageboard. apparently, they caught this while watching the show. i didn't even see it. when they were showing the outside of the talon, you can see something fly away in the background... the reason it stops when it gets to the talon sign is because that is when they switched the scene to the talon interior. check it out. it could be foreshadowing for that chick who is gonna be in the next episode.

She was a useless character to begin with (I mean, really, what the hell is her purpose in this entire series except to cock-tease Clark?), then she agreed to work with Lionel to investigate Clark (which she did later regret, I'll give her that), then she decided to use Lois Lane as her pen-name. WB does not say chloe is coming back. They say ALLISON MACK is coming back. Chloe could be dead. Allison Mack could return with a new hair color, and new looks and be a new character.... just leaving that out for speculation....

and I liked chloe's character. i liked her attitude and persistence. Her character provided 10x more to the storyline than lana's character. I've gotten so where I can't stand to see lana come on the screen.
