Your passion for coach Lowe far exceeds your passion for NC State basketball as a whole."

It ain't semantics. You're a troll and you know it. Your sole purpose is to throw out negative shit and hope someone's stupid enough to bite (like me). I challenge you to find one single time I ever showed "passion for coach Lowe". I've argued that firing him now would be more detrimental to the team that giving him another two years and see what happens. And you keep putting words my mouth, and anyone else's who doesn't agree with your absolute assessments.

So again, I challenge you to find one single time I "showed passion for Lowe", or really even praised him in any way.

VV Not good enough Ohboyeee. I've said to give the man a chance, and I've argued that firing him right now is not good idea, which I'm still arguing. Find one actual quote where I "show passion" for him. Not just "every post you make"-shit. If you can't, please just stfu, you childish troll.

^^ those sure sound like words of one who has been defeated and beaten back. So you are admitting that Lowe isn't going to work out for us as a head coach in basketball then, right?

pretty much every post you made in the credibility watch thread and the now unfortunately locked Fire Sidney Lowe thread.

Give the man 5 years, then see where we are. Herb got 5 years, Sid should too.

See, you forget that to OhBoyeee any support of a coach whatsoever is construed as "passion".

^ either way it is what it is. If Lowe could have figured out a way to win more games we likely wouldn't be having this conversation.

I'm definitely not saying Sid is a good coach, but he's only had 3 yrs, with Herb's players and a basically empty recruiting class his first year. I don't think he's the coach of the future and it pisses me off to see Leslie withdraw his commitment, but he played for nc state, loves nc state, and deserves more time. Besides, if we fire Sid, who the hell else should we hire that really has a decent shot of actually wanting to come coach here?

What we really need is for K and Roy to retire, and for them not to hire the best young coach in the game which I'm sure they will. So I guess whenever somebody thinks that it might be K's last year, we go ahead and fire our coach (it might be like 10 years down the road) and throw like $10M/yr at whoever's the best young coach so we can get a jump start on them. This shit looks like it might suck for a while to come. I think we should play in Reynolds too.

Pack recruit reopens search

Lisa Leslie has confirmed that her son, Word of God Christian Academy basketball player C.J. Leslie, has withdrawn the verbal commitment he made to N.C. State as a high school freshman, while making clear that she still likes NCSU and her son is still considering playing for Wolfpack coach Sidney Lowe.

"He just wanted to expand his visits to other schools," said Lisa Leslie, who added that she and her son had decided Saturday night to open the search again.

Mitch Summerfield, Word of God's chief operating officer and son of founder Dr. Frank Summerfield, confirmed that Memphis is among the other schools that the 6-foot-9 junior would like to visit but would not specify where else he might look. Memphis and N.C. State are also on the list of Leslie's Word of God teammate, John Wall, a senior point guard who intends to turn pro after his freshman year in college.

Leslie, ranked as the No. 4 power forward nationally by the recruiting web site scout.com, "really hasn't thought that whole process through yet," Summerfield said.

"I'm in N.C. State's corner, of course," he added. "I'm pushing [N.C. State]."

Summerfield said that the chances are "still very strong" that Leslie will wind up at State. "He actually talked to Sidney Lowe directly to let him know they are still on his list," Summerfield said. "He just wants to make sure he’s not hurting his chances of being ranked and all of the things that go along with his summer this year."

T.J. Jones, coach of the Lake Norman Wizards, a 16-and-under traveling team based in the Charlotte area, said Leslie would play for his team for the first time this summer.

Summerfield said Leslie basically felt he had committed too early — before he had progressed athletically and academically in the past two years. Summerfield would not specify the student's grade-point average but said it was above the minimum 2.4 that Word of God requires for athletes to be eligible to compete.

So in the past week, week and a half:

John Wall (#1 recruit in '09) visited Baylor and claimed Memphis as his leader even though Lowe was the first to recruit him
NC State loses to Maryland in the ACC tourney by showing no passion for the game whatsoever and finishes 6-11 in the ACC in underachieving style (and didn't even make the NIT!)
CJ Leslie (Top-50 recruit in '10) who had been committed to NC State since his sophomore year, has re-opened recruitment and claims Memphis as one of his other suitors
Lorenzo Brown (top-30 recruit in '09) is rumored to be academically ineligible

I think this is the definition of NC STATE SHIT

At this rate we might have to play EVERY game in Reynolds. Other than vs UNC when do we actually fill the RBC center? Our program wastes money renting out that damn stadium (I sat with Chancellor Oblinger for a game once, he told me it takes almost $100,000 per game to rent the building, pay the electricity bill, and pay all the staff). More games in Reynolds = more money for recruitment. UNC and maybe Duke should be our only games played at RBC, we don't even fill up for Wake anymore.

now i'm not a math major, but he failed to mention this:

at 14,000 seats x $30 a pop, we are bringing in revenue of around $420,000, not to mention concessions and merchandise, so even -100,000 the per game profit is still ridiculous

even with shitty attendance, why on earth would you wanna go back to reynolds?

It's hard to be pleased when we have a three-game stretch where we actually play like we can.

Then only to shit the bed against Maryland, Miami, and Maryland again in the ACCT.

Lo Brown needs to take the SAT again but he's going to qualify and is really close.

Coach Whitehart stated he was going to qualify, said so without question and it's just a matter of time.

Both say hes doing realy well this semester and with the sliding scale that could probably do it anyways.
