I think it's game specific. Excite Truck lets you do it via the SD card slot. I go about it that way and it's pretty nice.

It was said earlier, but I must reiterate.

A Wii specific Zelda has to be in the works or I will start a riot. I just finished Zelda: TP and thought it was one of the top 5 games I've ever played. If the graphics and controls were customized for the Wii, then there would be no doubt it is the best.

COME ON NINTENDO!

I want more MARIO KART and ZELDA. NOW!

Also I dont know how many fans of the "Worms" series there are in here, but a WormsWii would also be an amazing multiplayer experience using the Wiimote.... In fact I will add that to my list of demands while Im at it...

I would say that if you want it now buy one on ebay. I got mine by total chance, and this was last month. I do know that target and I believe Best buy gets their new shipments on Sunday morning. Just show up at opening and you should be fine.

^^ I"m not sure how close you are to Rocky Mount (and I'd call before driving if you're not). But the last time I was at the mall (last Friday), there were multiple Wii consoles at both EB Games and Best Buy.

Just when it looked like prices were trending downward, and profits were next to nothing on ebay, prices have shot back up another 40-50 bucks. People are getting 350-400 for a wii again. Amazing to me. Does, "nunchuck" and "wii remote" fool people, is it the fact that "5" Games come with the system, and people list it as if you get 5 new games. Are people that stupid, or is there just a panic every time they are out of stores for 5-6 days. Not sure, but summer is here, kids should be outdoors, and there have not been any games of not since Paper Mario. Also have not seen any big adverts, stock updates from the major stores, so maybe there is a bit of a drought. We shall see, but this is an economic case study in the making!

^oddly enough, the Katamari that was recently announced (Beautiful Katamari, I think) was not coming to the Wii; 360 and PS3 only.

^^The simple fact is that Nintendo ships these over in HUGE container ships. It takes a while for them to get here, but once that shipment is gone (read: instantly), it's a "drought" for another 2-3 weeks AT LEAST. And that's exactly what's happening. When they show up in stores, prices drop on eBay because it seems like they is huge supply. Once they're gone, they become impossible to find again and people drive the price up.

The majority of my buyers are moms buying it for their kids' birthdays or summer breaks.

I just want to personally thank Nintendo for sponsoring all my frivolous spending since Nov '06.

I hear it's still possible it'll be on the Wii, if they can get the controls figured out.

best advice: rent games before you buy them.

you can beat mario in the rental period.

saves you like $43

^ actually, I think my rental period timed out while I was still waiting for the characters to stop talking in the opening sequence so I could actually play the game.

Way too much talking/reading in that game. It was fun though, til I got tired of switching characters/pixls every 3 steps.

Yeah, I must agree that the SPM is a bit of a dissappointment so far (I just found the 2nd heart). Taking away the RPG aspect left it kinda shallow for substance. Too bad the RPG dialogue (that you put up with in an RPG in order to get the secret RPG goodies and really experience the depth of the game) wasnt taken out along with the rest of the RPG traits. You can feel that they left something out when they released this game....

My suggestion to new Wii owners : play SPM before Zelda, at least you will be impressed with both because Zelda is a very tough (and long / in-depth / complete ) act to follow...

i <3<3 SPM, but hate the dialog. i like the switch around thing and only in 2 areas has that gotten a little out of hand and annoying. i'm really glad it's so different than the thousand yr door. that game sucks.

can't wait for sm galaxy though

1000 Year Door was okay, but I didn't like it as much as the original Paper Mario or SMRPG.

I think the good points of 1000 Year Door were seriously outweighed by the parts where the game forced you to take long, slow walks back to places you had already been--it felt like a very cheap way to lengthen the gameplay artificially.

Kinda sad, the only games worth 1/2 a shit on that list are:

July 30 Mario Strikers Charged Nintendo
Aug. 20 Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Nintendo

other than that, i guess we get Mario Party 8 (yay! more mini games!) and Brain Brain Academy (yay! more mini games!) later in the Spring (June?)

If I didn't know any better, I'd say they are on the same track as they were with the Gamecube...

Ya gotta work hard for a Wii still or pay $$ to someone else who will put in the work to get one for you... crazy man...

Yeah Im sure Nintendo wants to squeeze all the value out of their current titles that they can, but that release list is depressing... I want at least another RPG... We can only hope that the extra time it is taking them to put these titles together will translate into higher quality games...

...and for the 3rd party developers: less mini-game collections, less shitty ports/remakes with Wiimote functionality tacked-on (I'm looking at you RE4, Prince of Persia, etc etc), and more ORIGINAL content like Kororinpa or Elebits.

I mean, here you've got this potentially revolutionary way to control games... and 99% of what's come out for it is pure SHIT. Disappointing...

^ haha true dat.... but even EA will need to come through with at least a few big hitters for the Wii if it is to be a success, they make so many of the sports games and have a huge contract with nintendo... Not to mention Twoods is one of my fav game series' of all time and should have been perfect for the Wiimote...

* Players will be able to choose from multiple control options. Main focus is on GC controller, and Nintendo is currently considering redistribution of them. (Good, I can't find wavebirds anywhere. I hope this means I can just use the remote and nunchuck, he wouldn't say.)
* No motion-sensitive controls in main game. (Does that mean mini-games etc. will?)
* Game will feature no more than 50 characters. (Gee, thanks a lot. I didn't know that already )
* "Since there's a huge fan-demand for online play, the game will almost definitely feature it. That's the plan. We pay a lot more attention to the fans than you would think, and we think it would be pretty dumb to ignore it. What's funny is if we had never addressed the rumor, people wouldn't be so expectant of it as they are." (Thank god, hopefully an end to the "This better be online or I'm not buying it" stuff.)
* They wouldn't tell me any new specific characters. (Just thought I'd get that in there.)
* "Fans will be extremely pleased with the quality and number of characters we've brought around, as we made this very much a fan-desire project. There won't be anymore 'clones' (just thought I should mention, he did the finger quote thing, and I literally lol'd) either. There are definitely characters that will be huge surprises too, one of which happens to be my absolute favorite." (Thanks for the cliffhanger. Wait…so no more clones? What about…)
* Not all characters will return. The original smash bros. will. (Oh…bye Roy (one of my mains.))
* Alternate Costumes/Color Schemes will be included. (Hot sauce. I'll take white Zora Link please.)
* No comment on third parties. (Damn you.)
* The game has been made "more balanced". (Cool. No more tiers? Ummm…idk if I like this yet.)
* No comment on N64 like intros. (lol)
* No comment on "advanced techniques". (I'm mediocre at that stuff anyway, so, I'm neutral on this.)
* There will be new items, and some have been taken out. (Bob-ombs confirmed, don't worry.)
* Super Smash Attacks are not immediately activated, can be reserved. (Well, now that I think about it…duh.)
* Adventure mode will be much larger, classic mode will be featured. (No word on if chars. Would have individual stories)
* Will include more game modes, some from N64 will return. (Due to popular demand, apparently.)
* Events will be included. (I love those things, so to me it's awesome.)
* This game is scheduled to release this year. (My guess is Fall.)
* No comment on shoot the credits."

Ugh. Back to wires! I'm not buying Wavebirds just for SSB Wii.... I think that if they ramp up production of GC controllers because of this then they are in for an unpleasant surprise (unless Wavebirds start selling for like $15).... Im not happy with this, but then again I know you will probably need more buttons than the current Wiimote + nunchuck setup already has...

Classic controller support seems like a logical step, unless they need the GC's analog shoulder buttons.
