^ but do the cubs rely soley on pitching? No they don't. All teams rely on pitching ofcourse, that is half the game, but the cubs are not a team that needs to have the pitcher pitch a 1 or 2 run game to win. Would you disagree with that?

Nobody ever said in this thread, all 79 pages of it, that the Cubs rely ONLY on pitching. Where you got this, I do not no. Here is another quote from a seperate article about tonights game.

Quote :
" For a while it seemed like no one wanted to win the NL Central. Chicago eventually pulled ahead in baseball’s weakest division with a 17-11 record in September.

The Cubs haven’t performed consistently at the plate all season but managed to turn those troubles around in September. Chicago closed the season with its best month in the box, batting .282 and knocking out a franchise-record 45 home runs. First baseman Derek Lee found his power stroke and hit .365 with seven dingers while Jacque Jones, Alfonso Soriano and Mark DeRosa all batted over .300 in September.

"

So one good month at the plate means more to you than them sucking the rest of the season? There is one reason they managed to hang around this long. Their PITCHING. How are you even trying to argue this when all the stats, articles, and people on here are against you? Do you just know THAT much more than everyone???

OVer, oh well, it was a good bet, and I split with the Rice +21. Up on the poker tonight, so that covers the juice again thank god. Hopefully I don't split the fucking Dbacks game like I have been spliting almost every game lately.

I went with the under on this game. Looked good at the start but then Southern Miss decided to wake up and play some ball. Oh well. Looking forward to this weekend.

16-8-1

The o/u on Rice was bullshit, how dare the 3rd string redshirt freshman QB for SM manage to put up that many points lol. Called the Dbacks/Cubs game PERFECT! My research was spot on. UNDER hit as did the Dbacks ML. I am SO glad ncsucharlie told me how the Cubs bats were so hot, and they didn't rely on pitching. That really helped with the under. Why is this funny? Well the Cubs scoring 1 run means they are HOT with those bats!!!!!! Congrats to them and HIM!!!!! One run teams, as we all know, always consider their teams HOT HITTERS!! I am so glad they rely on pitching like I proved or else the Cubs might have given up 7 runs and screwed my under.

make it up on Georgia, Tennessee has NO defense this year, Richt is really good at exploiting weaknesses, and the away team has won the last 4-5 if I remember correctly and Georgia is out for blood after getting destroyed last year at home

I will be pulling for Tennessee but I think it will be something like 41-30

you fucking idiot, never did I say it wasn't a good bet. Zambrano and Webb were pitching. There aren't many teams that light up Brandon Webb so go fuck yourself.

Can't believe anyone would actually bet ON State this year. I would have bet against them in the BC and UL games, but hell fuck no would I put money on them beating a spread (especially in Tallahassee - I don't care if we usually play well against FSU).

If I could find 20 people to put $250 a week on those odds, I could place their bets on any reputable gaming site, have them win, and pay my mortgage every month. To top it off, I would own my home free and clear in less than ten years.

^^well yea, but online has a lot more action so they can give better odds, also they have to compensate for the fact that there are a lot of annoying things with betting online, i have had multiple experiences where it was very hard to get my money out, betting in person has its pros and cons like most things.
