Unfortunately, I've had the bend over to get something and wind up with a boobie saying HAAAAAAAAY incident as well. I learned quickly how to do the bend without the full movement.

i like designer jeans: my Diesels I got in Vegas after winning big on the slots (haha) and my Seven at Marshalls and Calvin Klein at TJ Maxxmy 1 designer bag: the only thing I asked for at Christmas 2 years ago--a Kenneth Cole blue handbag...if you know me, you saw me use it for a 1.5yr straight. i just recently "retired" it b/c the leather was getting super worn...it needed a break!and shoes: too many to countbut i don't think i'm girlie prolly cause i'm not big on dresses unless I'm getting dressed up for a purpose...then i get very in to dresses and get super girlie ok so maybe I AM girlie

Anyone ever used Sephora brand eyeshadow? Does it stay on well? I am thinking about getting http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P234317&categoryId=S10501&shouldPaginate=true to have some more colors to play with because right now I've been sticking with just gray and brown and that's getting boring. I usually hate the kits like that but it seems like a good way to get a nice color selection of a good brand without having to buy them all separately.
4/22/2009 2:33:32 PM
Oh nice! That's a good way to experiment with color. Even if the sephora ones don't stay on you can get an idea of the colors you like for that cheap price, and then you can find some of those colors with a better brand.
4/22/2009 2:36:22 PM
That's kinda what I was thinking. I also like http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P175202&categoryId=S10501&shouldPaginate=true and http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P196711&categoryId=S10501&shouldPaginate=true and http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P204726&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5682
4/22/2009 2:37:35 PM
I really like the Sephora brand, and usually go for the quad-color sets like this one:http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P166405&categoryId=S10501&shouldPaginate=true
4/22/2009 2:38:33 PM
i have no idea if it stays on well...but get Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer and you won't have to worry about that one biti now swear by this stuff...as a contact wearer, it's GLORIOUS!!!!
4/22/2009 2:40:45 PM
I had some Clinique eyeshadow primer a way long time ago that was awesome. You think I'd buy some more ... but that would be logical.
4/22/2009 2:42:35 PM
I too am a fan of eye shadow primer more so for the color to show up better on my dark skin, but it does help minimize creases!!!
4/22/2009 2:45:30 PM
Sweet ... I'm getting the big palette, the smoky eye set and the primer, which gets me free shipping and a lot of fun stuff to play with. [Edited on April 22, 2009 at 2:52 PM. Reason : thanks for the help, ladies ]
4/22/2009 2:51:10 PM
it's nice to feel useful again
4/22/2009 2:53:02 PM
Urban Decay's shadow primer is God's gift to make-up.... and their shadows are really nice too, very blendable!!

I get a lot of my swim suits from Target. But they really aren't that cheap comparatively. It's actually cheaper for me to get them from VS. Another GREAT store to shop is "Everything but Water" at Southpoint (but don't expect to pay less than $75 for a suit). I like that store simply because their sizing is done like bra size, so I can walk in and know it fits me. Harder to do that with your generic "smalls" at a lot of places. My all time favorite suit is from H&M, I just wish there were a store around here![Edited on April 22, 2009 at 3:42 PM. Reason : name]

if anybody ever wanted to purchase a vix bathing suit this website I joined is having suits from them almost half price or more on April 27th. Does anybody want to join? It's free and you don't have to buy anything.

i've wanted these shoes for over a year now. i need to have them. they are $100
4/26/2009 9:17:15 PM
I swear by Urban Decay eye makeup.Their 24/7 liners are AWESOME.
4/26/2009 9:22:09 PM
question for the girls that use eye shadow primer - i'm never quite sure if this issue is from 'slipping' eye shadow or just me causing it, but i have a tendency to randomly touch/rub my eyes (nothing intense, like when you first wake up or something) and i always have shadow rub off. would primer help remedy that issue? especially now that it's finally getting warmer in NY, i get sweaty/oily easily and my makeup always gets gross.

Clinique's eye stay make-up is my favorite for the summer.http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4898&PRODUCT_ID=PROD562

So, I checked out a new consignment shop today. It was fun! Staff very nice and friendly, and they have a lot of home stuff as well as clothing, shoes and ESPECIALLY bags. I got a cute little black dress with a bit of tule netting underneath to give it a bit of a flare out shape, the top is that off-the-shoulder style. Perfect condition, it looks like this brand sells at Nordstrom for high $50-70, I got it for $18.I really liked their home goods (beaautiful furniture, tons of mirrors) and they had cute accessories. They have different colored tags that get different percentages off (mine was only 25% off the tag), and coming in May 1-15, every color will be 50% off (though, I do wonder if that means the tags that mean 75% off are only gonna be 50 )Anyway, if you're up in the area, have a looksee. I had my boyfriend with me so I didn't spend too much time - Passage Consignment, 1924 Wake Forest Road.I'm gonna pick up some amber colored jewelry soon so I can wear those high heels and my new black dress

Has anyone tried Clinique's redness relief cream? Does it work for you?I know it's going to depend on skin type, but what is your experience with it

i haven't washed my hair since friday. it still isn't even THAT gross. and i kinda get the ncsuwolfy thing going on---the dirtier my hair is, the more willing it is to curl. i have wavy hair so it will curl even if it is clean (well, wave) but it won't do like the bouncy flouncy curls unless it is diiirtay, apparently.it isn't even that greasy. there are definitely spots and if i straightened my dirty ass hair it would definitely be gross. but right now its just a tangley bun. i could probably have dreadlocks in like 2 more days. i don't know why i've gone 3 days w/o washing. i just thought i'd try it. and now that my skin is cleared up (i guess some of the stresses in my life have gone away, so..my skin randomly cleared up...like totally) i don't feel as ugly when i just throw my hair back in a bun w/ a headband!

Oh. My. God. WANT.They also come in tan and black (no pictures) which I would be more than happy with. Especially tan. They're Hush Puppies. And come in wide. But geez, I don't think I can handle a 2.75" heel. My body doesn't do too well with heels, period.]

Can anyong recomend a good face exfoliation?
4/27/2009 1:20:46 PM
I use Clinique 7-day scrub. I had a problem with flaking around my cheeks and forehead, and this has totally fixed it. I use it every morning before my standard facewash.

^Thanks. I'm past the stage of buying as cheaply as possible, but don't want to spend a ton of money. Sounds like I need to go see what they've got.

^^ You're right in that its not a super trendy place. It'd say it is not a college crowd environment. But 40-60 is a little on the steep side...but I only looked at jewelry/handbags and dresses and jeans. Those were definitely not in the 40-60 age range. Shirts, I don't know, I didn't explore into that area. Some consignment/thrift stores you CAN bargain. Try it. I know Cause for Paws thrift shop and this other consignment store my mother used to go do would do it. And I hope you didn't just look at the sticker price - certain stickers are different percentages off.To each their own! Sorry you were disappointed, I got a cute dress, and just thought I'd share.
4/27/2009 3:33:11 PM
I wasn't disappointed - just thought I would let people know before they actually went to the store since I work right down the road. And yep - I looked at the color tags, a lot of items are not discounted btw. And I looked at purses, shirts, pants and dresses.
4/27/2009 3:35:13 PM
I bought this dress:And I absolutely LOVE IT!The back of the dress is the best:

So ladies, I am spending a few days in vegas this summer (well, evenings, I imagine the daylight hours will be spent sleeping) and have NO idea what to wear/pack/start shopping for.I can get away with fashion forward looks because I have a sort of rock star thing going for me. I am debating just going the little black dress route that I can accessorize for whatever we are doing.Any suggestions?
4/28/2009 11:14:55 AM
June/July/August in Vegas are going to be HOT (100+) so wear something that breathes, i.e. tank dress, if you insist on wearing a dress.
4/28/2009 11:22:09 AM
We will probably be staying inside for most of it, but that's a good point. Lordy, I'm going to have to be bathing suit ready by then.We are going the second weekend in June.
4/28/2009 11:29:35 AM
Does anyone have any suggestions for evening up skin tone as far as scars go? I usually wear a light powder but I HATE wearing powder during the summer... and I want nice, even skin. I saw something on the clinique website for this but wasn't sure how good it was... and the Neutrogena microdermabrasion looks alright but it's expensive Any suggestions?[Edited on April 28, 2009 at 11:33 AM. Reason : PS, LOVE the yellow dress!!]
4/28/2009 11:31:55 AM
^ if you try the nutragina mircodermabrasion kit let me know. Ive been thinking about doing it aswell
4/28/2009 12:55:08 PM
Jen your spelling cracks me up!!!!I ♥ it!
4/28/2009 2:52:49 PM
it's not 'lightweight' but dermablend is the master of scar coverage.
4/28/2009 9:21:50 PM
I keep wanting to try a microdermabrasion kit to see if it'll do anything for fading acne scars. I got horrible cystic acne on my chin when I went off birth control, and now my skin has cleared up completely but I still have to put concealer on the red scars.
4/29/2009 8:53:31 AM
^^ Well it's not like hardcore scares that I would need Mederma for.. just mainly to even everything out.^ Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat, mine wasn't as bad as yours (which sounds like it sucked btw :'() but I would like everything to be the same color and not have like a little red patch here, etc..I'm leaning towards that Neutrogena one, it has a lot of great reviews on Amazon and is $20 cheaper than in stores...
