Do you think Glenn wears his MAGA hat when he walks his dogs in his gated compound?

Just kidding. I’m sure the help walks the dogs.

This is accurate. 250 years is a long time. The Constitution wasn’t built for bad faith in politics at the level we see it today. And wasn’t built for a personality like Trump.

the house should start an impeachment inquiry now regardless of the senate makeup, the crimes and collusion have been made clear

Subpoena Mueller. I don’t give two fucks if he doesn’t want to appear. Literally the only thing that can break through the narrative the DOJ is building (and media all to easily acquiesces to) is Mueller in front of cameras saying: “Yea, I think the president obstructed Justice.”

Instead he’ll just keep playing Boy Scout while his buddy Barr rapes the constitution.

Mueller seemed as clear as he could that trump obstructed justice, in light of this you have to assume any evidence on conspiracy is incomplete. There was definite collusion but collusion requires an exchange of value and mueller couldn’t determine if anything of value was given to Russia.

But the way mueller ended his statement seems to suggest he believes the attempt at contacts themselves needs further scrutiny by congress.

the report highlighted clear collusion, impeachment does not require criminal conspiracy (it doesn't require an indictable crime at all in fact)

I literally saw on my Bloomberg a headline from today: “Pelosi says Trump still wants infrastructure.”

It’s so pathetically sad to see the GOP cover for Trump on his comments. Shouldn’t the chair of the judiciary committee in the senate know the law?

https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/1139183502551867392?s=21

For reference, here is Mueller on the law.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/amp/new-study-shows-russian-propaganda-may-really-have-helped-trump-n1025306

Quote :
"The study found that every 25,000 re-tweets by accounts connected to the IRA predicted a 1 percent increase in opinion polls for Trump.

In an interview with NBC News, Ruck said the research suggests that Russian trolls helped shift U.S public opinion in Trump's favor. As to whether it affected the outcome of the election: "The answer is that we still don't know, but we can't rule it out."

Given that the election turned on 75,000 votes in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, "it is a prospect that should be taken seriously," Ruck wrote, adding that more study was needed in those swing states.

He points out that 13 percent of voters didn't make their final choice until the last week before the election.

Ruck said the correlation between troll activity and Trump's popularity remained true even when controlling for Trump's own Twitter activity and other variables.

"It turns out that the activity of Russian Twitter trolls was a better predictor of Donald Trump's polling numbers than his own Twitter activity," he wrote."

https://www.thedailybeast.com/robert-mueller-missed-the-crime-trumps-campaign-coordinated-with-russia?ref=undefined

Quote :
"Robert Mueller made a significant legal error and, based on the facts he found, he should have identified Trump campaign felonies. Mueller’s errors meant that, first, he failed to conclude that the Trump campaign criminally coordinated with Russia; second, he failed to indict campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates for felony campaign coordination (see in a concise timeline below); third, the 10 acts of felony obstruction in Volume II fell flat among the general public because it lacked compelling context of these underlying crimes between the campaign and Russia."

I'm not sure this author is correct on all these points, but its an interesting analysis, and its certainly from a perspective that no one in the media has approached this fiasco from.

Ken Buck (R-CO): Could you charge the President with a crime after he left office?

Mueller: Yes [a forceful yes]

Ken Buck (R-CO): You believe that he committed -- you could charge the president of the united states of obstruction of justice after he left office? [someone exasperated]

Mueller: Yes.

so not really any new revelations to anyone familiar with the report other than mueller confirming multiple times that trump acted to obstruct justice and also clarifying that he could be charged with a crime if he wasn't the president

Thick irony that the GOP talking point (at least from Graham and Kennedy) is Muellers decline while they defend a dementia-riddled brainworm infested septuagenarian in the White House.

One thing that i found disappointed with Muellers testimony is when he was asked what he meant in the report where he said trump was "mostly unsuccessful" his response was that the questioner was reading too much into that.

Where the rest of his testimony is that the "report makes clear".

Seems like a very disconnected response.

Andre Carson: “Would you agree that these acts demonstrated a betrayal of the democratic values our country rests on?”

Mueller: “I can’t agree with that. Not that it’s not true, but I cannot agree with it.”

Pretty disappointed there were no questions about Richard Burr (or other potential congressional backchannels).

The potential is there for you to destroy a sitting GOP Senator (and possibly even trigger a special election if he were to resign). Just zero killer instinct.

In light of the recent Ukraine-Trump impeachment scandal, I feel that this story from May 2, 2018 raises some significant questions:
