tyrion told you what was going to happen when he related a story about the lannister who used a rock to mindlessly crush beetles. couldn't have been more literal foreshadowing.

Lots of cliche talk.GRRM set up his own cliche the second he took Ned Stark's head off. That was a shocker, something that author's don't usually do. It set up the idea that nobody in his world is safe. Now, every time a major character gets offed, he's following the cliche that nobody is safe.In the case of the fight scene from that last episode, he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Because if he lets Oberyn win, then we're following the larger David and Goliath cliche. If Oberyn dies, we're following the GRRM cliche.

So I have a theory that Petyr is plotting to kill Robin to have Sansa as ruler of the Vale.Yea? Yea? No?.[Edited on June 3, 2014 at 11:22 AM. Reason : e]
6/3/2014 11:20:54 AM
^ my theory is that Baelish is setting up Robin to be killed. Baelish is too adamant about him leaving the safety and confines of the castle to tour his domain. it seems like a perfect setup for an ambush or an "accident to happen" while on tour. now i don't know if his plan is for Sansa to rule or for him to rule somehow. perhaps a puppet and puppet-master scenario?
6/3/2014 11:34:17 AM
Did Sansa bang out Petyr?

^I see nothing on this page that indicates anything other than guessing about what is going to happen. I've read the books, and I don't see anything here that is spoilerish.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that at the end of last season they made such a big deal about "Winter coming" and the "white walkers" invading....The Knights Watch sent all those letters out and they had this whole dramatic scene of Stannis reading one of the letters, blah blah, etcSo far this season I have not seen a single white walker and it seems everyone has gotten amnesia or forgot about the warning being sent out.

I predict Tommen pardons Tyrion under the counsel of Mr. Pounce.{"'NEXT WEEK ON' PREVIEW SPOILERS"}i'm not that fond of north/wildling action. so i'm kind of expecting to be very bored next episode. we'll see. Maybe the white walkers will show up and make things less boring.[Edited on June 3, 2014 at 9:09 PM. Reason : .]

They've been making a big deal out of winter coming since the very first episode. It is always in the background. All these people are too worried about who is going to be king where to think about what they are going to do when it gets balls cold, and frost zombies start laying waist.Who are we kidding here. All of these episodes are just build up to when Dany arrives with dragons, which interestingly enough, fire is the only sure thing against the white walkers. This statement has nothing to do with the books. Dragons breath fire, fire kills frost zombies. Profit.Edit - onyx also kills them, but they haven't made a big deal about that.[Edited on June 4, 2014 at 9:45 AM. Reason : asdfa]

Most people don't care about the White Walkers because they think the tales from beyond the wall are ghost stories and fables.

I am confused about something. I thought the wildlings already scaled the wall last season when they were tied together and climbing up that big ice thing (wall?)But now everyone at the Wall is preparing for a battle at Castle Black. Is Castle Black not at the wall? Did the wildlings climb around the wall somewhere else and are now coming from the south?
6/6/2014 9:35:43 AM
^That's my understanding. I think they crossed the wall somewhere else (not near castle black) and are now slaughtering and plundering adjacent towns and villages in an attempt to draw the Watch out of CB.
6/6/2014 9:50:44 AM
So then I guess they are going to attack Castle Black from the south at the same time this giant wildling army attacks from the north side? That makes sense
6/6/2014 9:55:42 AM
Only a small number scale the Wall (I think it's like 200 in the books), at a place not directly near Castle BlackAnd they are making their way south to flank Castle Black and attack so they can open the gates for the bulk of the wildling party (still beyond the Wall)So that's why you see Ygritte/Thenns and company crash through Mole's Town in that last episode[Edited on June 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Reason : yeah, exactly]
