i think i'm like the worst girl of all time. i've never been into designer bags. i mean i appreciate a good designer handbag (i really can't stand the ones that say the designer name all over them though) but i've never felt the urge to purchase one. i mean i love bags and have like a gazillion, but they're all like TJ maxx finds.

i mean if someone gave me a designer bag obviously i'd love it but when i'm choosing what to spend $$$ on (whenever i purchase something pricey) i'm more of a jeans/clothes/shoes person.

me too

I'd rather have money inside the purse than wear one as a status symbol

besides that you can get a well-made purse for well under $100

i really like designer jeans (they are my big girlie guilty pleasure). but i only have 1 pair right now (i had more but i wore them for 4 years and now the crotches, thighs, bottoms, etc are all tattered and ripped. i hate that about jeans). the ones i have i got at revolver on glenwood (second hand place). speaking of i am thinking of getting a new pair and cannot decide between the citizen of humanity ingrid or the 7 dojo (i think i need livinproof's help here haha :beatup. but i'll probably check at revolver before i buy at full price.

ALSO along similar lines i have a 20% off friends and family email coupon for bloomingdale's if anyone wants it. pm me and i can forward it to you. i guess 20% off isn't that great, since we don't have bloomingdale's here we have to pay shipping, which is probably all you save anyway. but either way, if anyone wants it i can send it!!

The Rugged Wearhouse off Buck Jones has a ton of super cute bras right now. I got 7, and 2 came with matching panties ... all for like $32.

these are my two very favorite styles....

but they are very different...dojos are more like trousers and look good with open toed shoes....ingrids are good with boots and regular shoes...

attn ladies with holes in the crotch, thigh, etc area of your jeans

GET THEM FIXED!!

any tailor worth their salt can patch it up and make it look like new again. i sent a pair of lucky jeans today to get patched up. its a very light, strech jean material that just needed some work done

costs < $10 and you can wear the jeans again!!

i know!!! ughh i just don't know what to do

and i have gotten my jeans fixed before but seriously in need of new jeans. mine just don't have one hole in the crotch or thigh... otherwise yes, fixing them is a good solution. but there are several things wrong with most of my jeans (i only have like 3 pairs i like so, oops...i wore them out hard). the thighs on one pair are about to rip all the way around to make jean shorts!! and the bottoms are all tattered and ripped up. most of my jeans have seen way better days. except one pair. and one that may be fixable. not the other one though--i'm keeping them around to do housework, etc in. i can't wait for the day when i bend down or take a wide step and my jeans turn into jorts

Delias! They have some good ones this year. I didn't get the pink side-tie bottoms though, I had to get the blue ruffle ones bc the only size they had in pink side-tie was XS. And my ass was like "yeah, no."

I just hope my boobs will fit... Delias has a knack for making things not meant for the busty..

^^ and??? I've had these boobs since about the 9th grade soooo being an adolescent girl doesn't mean you'll have small boobs.

but juniors sizes (which is what delia's makes) is NOT designed for curves, period. even if you may have had your boobs since 9th grade, your body is (probably) not exactly the same.

I feel like there's no excuse when they can make the jeans go up to like size 19. If they can appeal to those types of curves, why not the ones up top? And, not everything in the store doesn't fit busty girls, just sayin I wish they had more of a selection...

Yeah, me neither. I fit quite perfectly into a large. It stretches pretty tight across the girls but has enough cut to be snug and not hang around my waist/tummy but not be sausage tight.

Where is a good place to buy a not too expensive bikini with the cupped bra tops not the halter or triangle top. I'd like a lil support.

i've gotten several bathing suits from dept stores and they always have sales OR you can at least find belk/macy's coupons in like EVERY weekly paper (like 20% coupons). whenever they get their seasonal bathing suit department set up (i mean it could be now, i don't know i haven't been shopping much recently) they have TONS and TONS of varieties and brands at all different prices. it might be a good place to start.

^ yea, they have a wide selection, too and frequent sales. i've never had a vic secret bathing suit though, but i know that they out of anyone would prob have the style you want. they do specialize in boobs. but i don't know anything about quality since i do not own one. and i haven't really paid attention to prices. i do enjoy the bathing suit catalogue though

exactly! that is why i've never gotten one either. that is why i kind of check around at places like belk and macy's because they have huge bathing suit depts (usually). and at least you can try it on.

They have some you can try on at crabtree vs. I also bought a top from that store and the one I bought was good quality. That store knows how to take care of ladies with boobs.

Except that italian line of bras and underwear. It makes me mad that they don't have my size

i've tried VS bathing suits twice and failed miserably

i get my bathing suits at target. i have to get the halter style that have ties at the neck & back but its perfect for me because i can tie to tight enough to hold my boobs in and not risk exposing myself

^ I finally found a really good VS one.. it's the Miracle Bra halter-style (at least I think that's what it is)

Anyways, it has a thick band right below the girls and thick ties so it won't cut into your neck - and the cups are wide enough where you don't feel like you're falling out of it while still being a nice demi-style

ps my issue with Delias sizes are mainly the blouse-style shirts (and a lot of dresses there)... They fit everywhere except for the boobs, and it's way too tight in most of them graphic tees are fine though

I got a VS bathing suit that didn't quite work the way I wanted and sent it back no problem. They even give you a UPS code sticker just in case. The one I did end up getting was great! I finally felt like the girls had support without the constant pain in the back of my neck from the halter piece.

Though I'm still a fan of that look and definitely like Targets variety.

ugh i hate demi cups. they don't do anything for my boobs and the way mine are shaped, they always seem to slide out of the demi cup. i dont need the shaping, i have that down, i just need something to hold on to them when i, say, bend down to pick something up

Haven't checked this thread in a bit so:
Quote :
"this is me...except about purses and every other girlie must have"

*sigh* me too. The only thing that I think makes me girly is my love of sun dresses.
I have never owned a designer purse, designer jeans...or well, anything designer. And I don't see the need to. Sometimes I wish I could get into things like that. But then again, I like having my money go to other things.

And back on track:
Old Navy has cheap bikini's. Not sure which kind of styles they have this year but I bought one last year that was super cheap and really cute.
Also, VS is really easy to return. They give you a paid postage stamp to return things in. Yes, It takes a bit of time for it to turn around but if you see something you love just get it and return it later if it doesn't fit, or it just might be perfect!
