I'm just saying, the Hester WR experiment failed. I dunno how much ATL paid for him, but if the Panther had gotten him, he wouldn't fill a WR need

And big name free agents don't always work out. Look at Nnamdi when he went to Philly.

Really? He had some good games last year with Glennon throwing to him. He's no worse than LaFell at least.

I think this is a smart pickup as long as they don't overpay. He has good hands and is pretty fast.

Underwood is a good bargain-bin signing. He can get open deep.

Cason has talent. He looked legit for a year under Rivera in San Diego before the wheels came off. With a strong front-7 and some safety support (get well soon, Godfrey), he can be the kind of aggressive corner the Panthers need. He's a bit of a gambler but he can rack up interceptions if he knows that the ball is coming out in a hurry. Just don't expect him to play on an island.

eh. he took a deal for lots of money to play in a defensive scheme that was completely opposite the style of play that suited him. they shouldn't have pursued him in the first place.

We signed QB/WR Joe Webb today. He's the guy that a lot of people cheated with in Fantasy football 3 years ago when he started at QB for the Vikings but could be put into a WR slot.

Hard to say if he is going to be on the team when the season kicks in, looks like they want him to be Cam during the OTAs

Mr. Wuf gets a great jump off the line, then changes teams and starts blocking for Sir Purr (the inflatable Sir Purr, not one of the other 2 Sir Purrs)

^^my thoughts exactly

But didn't we drop smith because of his potential to be a locker room distraction ?? Desean's character is exceptionally questionable and he carries himself like a self entitled teenager punk. Talent is through the roof, but I am torn if the upside is worth the just as likely downside. We certainly need a guy with his ability now.

Smith got cut because he's a locker room prick and ended the least productive season of his career limping off the field. Jackson has 3-4 years of his prime left, no injury, and is coming off his best season as a pro. Not really comparable.

IMO, I think the gang stuff is a smokescreen. He came out after their playoff loss asking for money, which probably rubbed management the wrong way. Then they started floating this gang crap to try and play hardball with him. After the trade rumors started floating, it became clear he wasn't going to be an Eagle next year and it was just a waiting game for him to be released. Basically, the Eagles are run by a bunch of fucking idiots.

I mean, for fucks sakes, there is a video of Ray Rice knocking his gf out and the Ravens publicly went to bat for him. NFL teams don't give a shit about alleged affiliations with a gang 3000 miles away.

Yeah, all that really tells me is that Richardson still has quite a bit of say in personnel decisions. You're telling me we won't even give a token offer to an All-pro caliber player at a position of need? Dude hasn't even been accused of anything. I doubt we ever had a legitimate shot at meeting his asking price, but "no interest" is a seriously short sighted stance.

He got cut because of his bad attitude, salary, greed for more salary, and most importantly his relationship with his coaches. They had to use an intermediary to speak with him because he had such a shitty relationship with the coaches. In addition, due to this poor relationship he wasn't a top notch route runner and they saw it as risky to pass to him in the red zone as often as they would have liked to.

putting the fact that we couldn't afford him aside, dude was a pro bowl player in his prime who was just straight up released. there is no bigger indication that something is terribly wrong than that.
