I'm just saying, the Hester WR experiment failed. I dunno how much ATL paid for him, but if the Panther had gotten him, he wouldn't fill a WR needAnd big name free agents don't always work out. Look at Nnamdi when he went to Philly.

he's got a cool haircut
3/21/2014 12:25:58 PM
Really? He had some good games last year with Glennon throwing to him. He's no worse than LaFell at least.
3/21/2014 12:37:28 PM
He's fast. I just meant I don't know who he is. I didn't pay attention to the bucs
3/21/2014 12:42:34 PM
I think this is a smart pickup as long as they don't overpay. He has good hands and is pretty fast.

Don't forget that after the draft new players may become available and there will be some quality players cut from other teams before week 1
3/21/2014 1:07:02 PM
Underwood is a good bargain-bin signing. He can get open deep.Cason has talent. He looked legit for a year under Rivera in San Diego before the wheels came off. With a strong front-7 and some safety support (get well soon, Godfrey), he can be the kind of aggressive corner the Panthers need. He's a bit of a gambler but he can rack up interceptions if he knows that the ball is coming out in a hurry. Just don't expect him to play on an island.[Edited on March 21, 2014 at 3:41 PM. We signed QB/WR Joe Webb today. He's the guy that a lot of people cheated with in Fantasy football 3 years ago when he started at QB for the Vikings but could be put into a WR slot.Hard to say if he is going to be on the team when the season kicks in, looks like they want him to be Cam during the OTAs

Desean Jackson was just outright cut by the Eagles......
3/28/2014 1:35:30 PM
don't even think about it
3/28/2014 1:40:04 PM
^^my thoughts exactlyBut didn't we drop smith because of his potential to be a locker room distraction ?? Desean's character is exceptionally questionable and he carries himself like a self entitled teenager punk. Talent is through the roof, but I am torn if the upside is worth the just as likely downside. We certainly need a guy with his ability now. [Edited on March 28, 2014 at 1:44 PM. Reason : Carrot]
3/28/2014 1:43:50 PM
he got cut due to rumors of a relationship with a gangthat dude isn't gonna be picked up by anyone for a while
3/28/2014 1:46:45 PM
3/28/2014 1:49:33 PM
Smith got cut because he's a locker room prick and ended the least productive season of his career limping off the field. Jackson has 3-4 years of his prime left, no injury, and is coming off his best season as a pro. Not really comparable.
3/28/2014 2:00:02 PM
guys as young/talented/valuable as him don't get outright cut over nothing
3/28/2014 2:00:29 PM
3/28/2014 2:02:41 PM
IMO, I think the gang stuff is a smokescreen. He came out after their playoff loss asking for money, which probably rubbed management the wrong way. Then they started floating this gang crap to try and play hardball with him. After the trade rumors started floating, it became clear he wasn't going to be an Eagle next year and it was just a waiting game for him to be released. Basically, the Eagles are run by a bunch of fucking idiots.I mean, for fucks sakes, there is a video of Ray Rice knocking his gf out and the Ravens publicly went to bat for him. NFL teams don't give a shit about alleged affiliations with a gang 3000 miles away.[Edited on March 28, 2014 at 2:13 PM. Reason : :]

3/28/2014 4:17:32 PM
Yeah, all that really tells me is that Richardson still has quite a bit of say in personnel decisions. You're telling me we won't even give a token offer to an All-pro caliber player at a position of need? Dude hasn't even been accused of anything. I doubt we ever had a legitimate shot at meeting his asking price, but "no interest" is a seriously short sighted stance.
3/28/2014 4:22:13 PM
carolina isn't giving that man ANY money. we saved that for running backs
3/28/2014 4:23:31 PM
