Absolutely nothing right now off Tryon/Gorman
2/25/2015 10:04:15 PM
Mix of crap falling now
2/25/2015 10:04:29 PM
Not shit here except a little sleet. This storm sucks, totally fischelled
2/25/2015 10:08:01 PM
It's dumping big wet flakes near Crabtree. Just need it to cool off one or two more degrees for it to really start accumulating
2/25/2015 10:10:36 PM
They didn't even really call for any snow to start falling until 10 PM anyway, so I'm not that worried.
2/25/2015 10:20:20 PM
WRAL just adjusted their map and has most of Wake County in their 8-10 range
2/25/2015 10:21:21 PM
Carrboro is already a winter wonderland. Snow on everything. I am making a time lapse video that I started right before the snow. Should be very fucking impressive by tomorrow morning.
2/25/2015 10:22:24 PM
I have 1/2" on my driveway in CLT.
2/25/2015 10:26:03 PM
For a little while the snow was costing everything white but the rain has washed it away.
2/25/2015 10:28:11 PM
Seems like it is all sleet now.
2/25/2015 10:28:40 PM
there's a good 1.5" in North Raleigh now. Sticking to the street too.
2/25/2015 10:29:09 PM
It like a solid 2" here in WF. Sticking like a mug too.
2/25/2015 10:30:20 PM
How does the weather channel suck so bad at predicting snow? Rocky Mount has been at 8-12 inches all day with Raleigh and now is down to 1-3 inches. Yet, it's been pouring here and everything is covered and no signs of letting up.[Edited on February 25, 2015 at 10:33 PM. Reason : purple sneakers ]
2/25/2015 10:32:27 PM
0" downtownEveryone thought I was trolling when I said 1-3" but that's actually the forecast[Edited on February 25, 2015 at 10:33 PM. Reason : .]
2/25/2015 10:32:44 PM
2/25/2015 10:34:15 PM
J/k I like yelling![Edited on February 25, 2015 at 10:51 PM. Reason : .]
2/25/2015 10:37:30 PM
This is suppose to go well into tomorrow. Why are you freaking out
2/25/2015 10:41:12 PM
We didn't get 10 inches of snow in an hour...THIS IS BULLSHIT I TELL YOU
2/25/2015 10:44:22 PM
This is the first time I can remember where WRAL got the possible totals closest. No way we all won't get at least 5-6 inches.[Edited on February 25, 2015 at 10:46 PM. Reason : The Weather Channel sucks]
2/25/2015 10:44:58 PM
Yeah it was mentioned long ago thst the heavy snow wasn't going to start until around midnight but it would be 1-2" an hour. Patience with this one. No ok ne is backing off their forecasted totals at this time with WRAL finally getting on board.
2/25/2015 10:45:27 PM
Turned over to snow. Ground is already almost covered.
2/25/2015 10:48:31 PM
Snowing pretty hard in downtown right now. Roads are about 50% covered
2/25/2015 10:54:54 PM
I've been kinda excited about this storm--greased up my baking sheets for sledding. So if I don't get a solid 7 inches tonight, we got problems.
2/25/2015 10:55:50 PM
Oh you'll get a solid 7 inches tonight...
2/25/2015 10:56:29 PM
The way it's falling right now I would say it's possible we get well over 8 inches near Crabtree
2/25/2015 10:56:48 PM
Wake Forest is looking like a winter wonderland right nowStill coming down steady
2/25/2015 10:57:48 PM
Looking at news/traffic cams, it looks to be pretty well sticking to the roads now.
2/25/2015 10:58:01 PM
Hahaha, Raleigh just went from 8-12, to 1-3 back to 8-12 in the last 15 minutes. The weather channel is amazing.
2/25/2015 11:00:40 PM
Just took dog out for her nightly romp around the parking lot before bed. definitely sticking to roads in a slushy snow mixture that is going to freeze into a NIGHTMARE. Still dumping down big big big flakes pretty heavily. I had an umbrella with me and by the time I got back home the thing had a thick layer of snow on it. I'm now going to start partaking in the best cocktail ever for cold weather. HOT APPLE CIDER AND CARAMEL VODKA.
2/25/2015 11:03:44 PM
Next question will be once this moves off shore exactly where any deformation band sets up. Hopefully right over Raleigh and temps can hold.
2/25/2015 11:08:28 PM
^^wow, that sounds amazing
2/25/2015 11:13:49 PM
It is absolutely dumping snow outside
2/25/2015 11:17:38 PM
Shitting snow in Cary
2/25/2015 11:39:09 PM
The snow downtown and in the southern half of Raleigh will turn to rain again soon, the snow you see now is more than what you will wake up with
2/25/2015 11:47:44 PM
^Give a rest already, your debbie downer troll personality stopped being funny hours ago.
2/25/2015 11:48:22 PM
at first I was like 3lbs of sugar and butter with only 3 ounces of booze? then I realized it was stock to make serving sizes with [Edited on February 25, 2015 at 11:52 PM. Reason : .]
2/25/2015 11:52:26 PM
What I've posted are the real forecasts from local meteorologists on Twitter and Facebook, central and southern Raleigh had been majorly downgraded by almost everyone
2/25/2015 11:54:07 PM
THUNDERSNOW OMFG!!!!!
2/26/2015 12:05:00 AM
THUNDERSNOW

2/26/2015 12:06:16 AM
2/26/2015 12:12:08 AM
About 5" here in Morrisville near me at least. Flakes not as fat but still falling. And thundersnow.
2/26/2015 12:30:44 AM
I actually measured over 2" in North Raleigh just now. how many inches did we get Tuesday?[Edited on February 26, 2015 at 12:32 AM. Reason : .]
2/26/2015 12:31:34 AM
It's not really getting dark in morrisville. the snow is reflecting all the light. it's kinda creepy
2/26/2015 12:34:06 AM
yeah I was actually wondering about that here. it's like dusk or something
2/26/2015 12:37:03 AM
Snow and sleet mix out there now.[Edited on February 26, 2015 at 12:51 AM. Reason : 12345]
2/26/2015 12:49:06 AM
Ugh, nothing but sleet and rain
2/26/2015 12:51:31 AM
3" on the cars, 2.5" on my lawn and 2" on the road near north hills. And snowing mixed with really big sleet, sting like a bitch while I was outside taking measurements with no jacket on
2/26/2015 1:00:00 AM
huge bust compared to where forecasts were yesterday. Can't believe wral put out an 8+inch forecast just a few hours ago. No way in shit the raleigh area reaches that.Had 7 inches predicted for my area just south of charlotte just an hour before the storm hit. There is literally zero snow on anything around me.
2/26/2015 1:02:35 AM
I'm already at 3 inches in Raleigh and it's gonna go for a while longer, 6-8 is entirely possible
