ok, so apparently ive uncovered the infamous "zelda cannon glitch" in twilight princess.after finding the cannon to go to the Sky Palace, I saved the game and stopped playing. When I returned to play it, i found myself in an impossible situation. i can not leave the room because that guy keeps telling me to do something with the cannon, however, he no longer exists in the room. the room is empty. when i try to warp out, minda won't let me because i cant transform into a wolf because she says someone is in the room. so im stuck. apparently other people have found this glitch as well.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkB53h2M5Pwso after 40 hours of play, i can't do anything. ive heard that you can contact nintendo and send in your zelda disc and get a new fixed copy, but i havent heard back from them yet.so morale of the story: save your game often and under multiple save slots, AND DONT SAVE AND STOP YOUR GAME IN THE ROOM WITH THE CANNON [Edited on April 23, 2007 at 8:57 AM. anyone else think its taking a little too long for the anticipated games (super smash, super mario galaxy, etc..) to come out?. I'm already getting bored of my Wii that i just got for xmas and it doesnt seem like any of the awesome games are coming out soon
4/23/2007 9:54:53 AM
im pretty content right now, but i also dont have 40 hours a week to spend playing video games. i dont have the time to play all the games i have right now, so im not fiending for anything new.
4/23/2007 10:00:34 AM
i'm pretty content too. i work so like sober i don't have all day to play games. i'm really loving super paper mario right now and i still haven't finished zelda.
4/23/2007 10:22:43 AM
i agree....the Wii is cool if you don't wanna play it all the time. I work full time and the wii is perfect for me. I'm about to mod mine today and perhaps play a little Zelda.
4/23/2007 10:45:00 AM
Any word on the virtual console releases for this week?
4/23/2007 10:53:36 AM
Ditto with the working ppl in here. It is the classic nintendo way of things that the most anticipated games are spaced out over a broad time period and the games in between are usually insufficient filler. Notice that many of these games are recreations of nintendo classics (mario / zelda / etc) and they have complete control on the supply/time flow of them to maximize hype/profit because nintendo owns lisences on them. Though PS and Xbox seem to be able offer more timely quality titles, they are that way because of recent monetary success that Nintendo has not shared (until just recently) and the fact that they do not have a self-liscenced titles mario/zelda/etc that they can expect to bank on with every system (crash bandicoot sucked, though you could argue on behalf of Halo/GodofWar/etc). So that begs to question if Nintendo will use this recent success to bolster its software lineup like PS/Xbox or if they will continue to operate by their "quality over quantity" mantra they have been claiming since the N64 days and stick to their guns with the big hitting classics. Sega is a great example of how sticking to your guns (sonic/etc.) and not satisfying the demand can take you down, but Nintendo has continued to survive (and recently thrive). As cryptic as they are about their future production and looking at the way in which they are reacting to recent success, I would infer that they plan on sticking to their guns. Don't hold your breath with them unless you are ready to turn purple.....[Edited on April 23, 2007 at 11:17 AM. Reason : sp]

4/23/2007 11:17:39 AM
i've never heard of any of those
4/23/2007 12:05:21 PM
o.O gradius might be a good pick up
4/23/2007 12:17:29 PM
Lode Runner for the NES is one of my favorites, I'll see how this T-16 version compares.

CAN. NOT. WAIT!!!!

Nobody else cares about Spidey? for reals?
4/24/2007 2:15:06 PM
I don't know...it looks cool, but the motions seem a little bit to exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, I love playing wii sports with huge movements as much as the next guy, but this looks like it could get tiresome.
4/24/2007 2:16:42 PM
I would assume it's just like wii sports, in that a small wrist motion would be just as effective as a big sweeping one. The exaggerations were probably purely for show.
4/24/2007 2:28:20 PM
forget spidey.....where's mah SSBB??
4/24/2007 3:57:39 PM
BeerzNBikes, do you just make things up as you go along?
4/24/2007 4:52:18 PM
my wii broke :x over heated i guess. wont turn on
4/24/2007 5:04:07 PM
thats a first...talked to quite a few people and they said those heat fans were a waste of money. i guess not is it still under warrantee
4/24/2007 7:11:23 PM
where is my mario cart
4/24/2007 8:41:57 PM
probably cuz you have prayed to the gods for cart instead of kart.
4/24/2007 8:47:24 PM
pffft they didnt listen anyway
4/24/2007 9:01:34 PM
always possible that they were confused or just dont like you.
4/24/2007 9:33:18 PM
Spiderman 3 looks cool, however, I've found with those big arm movements I end up smacking myself in the face with the nunchuck wire I'm sure smaller more precise motions will work too
4/25/2007 10:08:12 AM
^8 Nintendo would still make money hand over fist if their main console flopped, most of their money comes from portables, and has for a long while.I'm almost convinced that their home consoles are testing platforms for what they want to put in their next handheld.Don't be surprised if the successor to the DS has built in motion sensors.[Edited on April 25, 2007 at 10:56 AM. i'm pretty sure they got the idea for the wii controller from the stuff they've been doing with the DS' stylus. at least that's what nintendo was saying when everyone was still trying to guess what the controller technology would be.
4/25/2007 11:17:05 AM
^yeah, they had a prototype with ds type stylus for the wii that got scrapped at the last second for the motion sensitive control

CapnObvious, Im sorry if I upset you: really.
4/25/2007 1:25:14 PM
Nah, I'm not offended. There are just too many people that act upon the assumption that all three companies are similar enough to operate the same, but they can't.That being said, the cannon glitch sounds like the worst possible thing ever. I'm glad I'm the type of person who saves only in towns out of RPG habit.

has anyone beat the pit of 100 trials in SPM yet? i died on level 78 or something like that. everyone that owns a wii should buy this game
4/25/2007 4:29:23 PM
^Flipside: yes.Flopside: not quite.Has anyone put much time into the arcade? Looks fun.
4/25/2007 6:28:54 PM
pit of 100 trials was such a fucking waste.
4/25/2007 6:32:39 PM
I played the arcade games, they're a nice distraction. In general, I find SPM only slightly engaging. The platforming ain't that great and it's way too easy. The characters aren't as interesting as I expected either. They're just interesting enough not to be boring, but not interesting enough to pull me into the game.
4/25/2007 6:33:11 PM
did anyone actually figure out the second set of blocks in 5-1 by themselves? i had to look it up online and it was incredibly complicated, don't know how anyone could have done that by accident
4/26/2007 10:22:52 AM
the guy back in town gives you the answer.
4/26/2007 10:25:17 AM
I may be in the minority here, but I the dialog in SPM really started to get to me after the second world. After I beat the game and just casually played, I found it a lot more enjoyable . . . but I jumped right into Tales of Symphonia to play along side my GF, so I really haven't done much more with SPM since.

One thing really bugs me about Zelda: You save people from being huddling spirits in the twilight, then you save their children/patriarch/prince, and those same fucking people will charge you for the goddam arrows to go after Zant for them. Yeah, Malo, I'd love to pay 200 for the shield. It's not like you just took over an abandoned shop or I just saved your fucking life. Asshole.
4/26/2007 11:44:33 AM
Ok, my memory is failing me. How do you avoid the spin around punch by super macho man on punch out? This is driving me crazy.
4/26/2007 12:31:45 PM
I just keep dodging to the left... if you time it right it'll workout for ya
4/26/2007 1:22:59 PM
Nintendo said they would ship out 14 million (I guess this means worldwide) In 2007, they have already sold 5.8 million.....so its time for the economists to get out their supply/demand curves and figure out if this is going to be enoug. Seems to me that 14 million might not be enough to be able to see these things on shelves by next xmas, especially when you spread those out over australia/japan/eurpope/north america. just doesn't sound like enough.
