Chip Kelly? #sources
1/3/2016 12:47:21 AM
he was never officially offered, but was a finalist. And yes I am
1/3/2016 12:48:55 AM
Hux is going to stay so he can be scapegoated next offseason
1/3/2016 1:45:40 AM
Makes no sense unless dd was already running the offense. Offense was our one bright spot.
1/3/2016 2:40:34 AM
Gonna be real awkward when he accepts the ECU head coaching position and then beats us in week 2 next season.
1/3/2016 3:37:36 AM
LolThis at least shows that DD is starting to catch heat from Yow. It also shows clowns like Earl that everything is not okay in the program and we are not right on plan in terms of becoming a decent football team.
1/3/2016 3:26:57 PM
1/3/2016 3:54:46 PM
^^Thats a funny narrative considering we were a high powered offense this year. i could see if it was huxtable but on the surface this would all seem to me like guys are just leaving for better jobs because our offense was so good. I mean we scored with ease against two of the best defenses in the country...without our two best players. Thats on the staff.
1/3/2016 4:00:29 PM
Texas A&M OC just left....
1/3/2016 6:11:46 PM
Sweet, something not relevant to our search
1/3/2016 6:12:26 PM
Eh, our defense performed up to, maybe even a little better, than expectation, save for maybe the UNC and Miss. St. games. Our offense under-performed almost the entire season. Our passing game was painful to watch most of the season after hearing all offseason that Brissett had worked on his deep ball and we were going to work on stretching the field. Would it have killed Canada to work on throwing a few slant passes here and there?New OC will be brought into run the spread. Will be interesting to see our adjustment based on pieces we have in place. I think running the spread will def. help McClendon, and will actually work better with our current WR core, but do worry about our OL.[Edited on January 3, 2016 at 6:21 PM. Reason : .]
1/3/2016 6:21:21 PM
AgreeExcept our D was pathetic
1/3/2016 6:25:27 PM
-3rd in the conference in points per game behind arguably the two most high octane teams in the whole country. -most points scored against the best team in the country all season-3rd most points scored against the best defense in the country all seasonall this while everyone knew the run was coming with 3rd 4th and 5th string backs and they still couldn't stop it. thats a pretty badass offense. its bizzarre how you people base things solely off emotions. if we don't score enough to win you will always say its because of offense even if the defense is letting the other team score on almost every possession. if we had bc's defense, we would be undefeated EASILY and everyone would be talking about how canada is the genius of our time with the same exact results from him.[Edited on January 3, 2016 at 6:42 PM. 1/3/2016 6:41:42 PM
EASILY
1/3/2016 10:15:56 PM
Well, one thing that I noticed all year was that we had zero quick slants in the offense. Our o-line was not great at protecting Brissett, and I never saw a quick slant thrown to slow any pressure. It showed against MS State, along with how far we along with the rest of the country are behind the SEC west in the trenches. Our lines got WHIPPED!
1/3/2016 11:32:12 PM
Another false narrative. We scored 3 less points on them than bama did.
1/3/2016 11:41:26 PM
1/3/2016 11:43:39 PM
I was saying how bad everyone else has looked against the SEC West, not comparing their game against Alabama.
1/3/2016 11:45:54 PM
We were 29th in the country in Total Defense. 57th in the country in Total Offense. Shut the fuck up Earl.
1/4/2016 1:30:46 AM
Overton on committing to Clemson over NCSU:"Honestly I just felt like Clemson would give me a better shot at the next level," Overton said. "I feel they actually develop their receivers." Shade
1/4/2016 8:30:11 AM
you can't argue with sammy watkins and deandre hopkins
1/4/2016 8:48:37 AM
^^not sure that's "shade" so much as it is praise for the #1 team in the nation that is great at putting guys at his position in the NFL^^^those defensive numbers don't look as good when you look at adjusted stats....the total defense stats are kinda misleading given our schedule this year.[Edited on January 4, 2016 at 9:25 AM. Reason : h]
1/4/2016 9:24:59 AM
him using the word actually infers that he thinks one does develop players and one doesn't
1/4/2016 9:36:49 AM
yes...the #1 team in the nation that has put multiple WRs in the NFL over recent years vs the 7-6 team that has not put a WR in the NFL recently. call it whatever you want or interpret it any way...he's not wrong in what he's saying.
1/4/2016 9:54:12 AM
no one said he's wrong. Just saying that it was unnecessary shade

Jancek let go from DC position at Tennessee... snatch him up State!
1/6/2016 2:13:59 PM
Nobody wants that Tennessee garbage. UT football is just as big a joke as the wolfpack now. Sorry but the glory days are over. We dont need to add the loser parade, we need to hire winners who like eastern style bbq, and not that western style syrupy garbage.
1/6/2016 2:24:20 PM
Tennessee should be pretty good next year. I expect them to contend for the east.
1/6/2016 2:25:59 PM
Pshhh, keep dreaming ole rockiee top. almost as delusional as pack fans at this point. Maybe because the glory days were a couple decades more recent. But nonetheless, still delusional.....

1/6/2016 3:06:47 PM
So I'm curious.....With all the staff firings, does that mean that this program was headed in the right direction these past three seasons? Letting go of personnel seems like an odd thing to do for a program that was supposedly trending upward, no?
1/6/2016 3:39:28 PM
We'll trend upwarder the next few seasons
1/6/2016 3:43:18 PM
Its very odd and new staff won't be an eligible excuse if we don't continue to trend up the next 2 seasons.
1/6/2016 4:11:24 PM
Big Nigga Jibba is right about muh Vawls. We're back baby! Sure, nobody we're recruiting was alive the last time we won a conference title, but we're on the cusp. Fear the Vols.

Yes, it's very odd to insist on fixing something that wasn't broken. It's the kind of general malaise that only the genius posses, and the insane lament.
