gotta go with the vikes ML...i mean when all the books are getting 3 to 4 gb bets for every minny bet, and the line stays like this (or even drops to to pk in some), i feel as though they know something i dont
9/30/2007 1:09:22 PM
Might as well take the 1.5 and do the spread. The difference in the ML payout is negligable at that rate. You could end up fucking yourself all because you wanted to make about 5% more.

not touching tonights game jb?
9/30/2007 7:19:30 PM
Fuck, I hope I didn't jinx myself calling the Cardinals a winner early.
9/30/2007 7:20:44 PM
I dont know, might look at it but both of those teams are so god damn inconsistant. Week to week they both could look really good, and then look like shit. Of course, with my Boys dominating that shit it wont really matter what they do Lemme look at it a bit^nope[Edited on September 30, 2007 at 7:22 PM. Reason : d]

I like the Eagles -3. But both QBs are so damn squirrelly you never know which one will show up. I'm going to start my spreadsheet tonite. Just wanting to track my bets a little better.

This is one of the most sloppiest/ugliest/pathetic games I have ever seen. So much for my over, unless both teams totally light it up in the 2nd half.

9/30/2007 11:12:12 PM
As far as people keeping track of their YTD performance, I have a quick question. Just trying to see what percentage I am wininng.....Say you play a three team parlay, and 2 out of the 3 teams win. Of course, I count it as a lost bet, but as far as percentages would I (and the pros "averaging" 55%) say my percentage is 66% or 0% for this bet? Or are they just counting single bets towards their average?
10/1/2007 12:28:54 PM
nailed giants covering and under last night.like cincy +8 1/2 and the under
10/1/2007 12:36:05 PM
^^Unless all your bets are at standard (-110) juice, win % doesn't say much about your performance. That's why a lot of times you'll see people keep track of "units," to see how much money they would have made. This is helpful not just for parlays (I imagine most of the "pros" you refer to don't do parlays), but also moneylines.[Edited on October 1, 2007 at 12:37 PM. 10/1/2007 2:58:55 PM
i'd really lay off the parlay's man... make your money slow and steady
10/1/2007 3:01:32 PM
parleys are stupid, stop doing it dumbasses. dont be greedy, there are a billion college and nfl games a year, you have plenty of time to build it up game by game
10/1/2007 3:22:39 PM
We are not friends anymore jaybee I just do them for fun, turned $50 to $350 in the last week or so. just as easily could have blown the initial $50 though. Got stupid lucky on a couple games (UCLA scored 4 td's in the 4th to win/go over, Rex's 4 int's). Now that I have a little cash I'm just gonna keep it simple
10/1/2007 3:38:47 PM
If I was betting 50 dollars a game I'd have to do parlays tooIt's hard to get excited when you win 45 dollars
10/1/2007 3:43:53 PM
$35 is the most I've bet in a long time. Usually $10-$15 on the 2 team parlays I play pays 3 or 4 to 1. I hit 4 out 5 this week, including a 4 team that won but was dumb in hindsight.
10/1/2007 3:49:34 PM
^^ I do a lot less than that usually^ thats about what I do, 10-30 usually, sometimes up to 100
10/1/2007 4:02:35 PM
I guess I just assumed most people bet more than that.Personally, I can't really get into it unless significant money is on the line. Most of my plays are 1100 to win 1000, but I may reduce that for the NFL, seeing as how I'm taking it on the chin thus far this year.
10/1/2007 5:06:14 PM
12-4Gonna bet both of these pretty strong.Bengals +8.5u54.5
10/1/2007 5:13:37 PM
^^ jesus christ, no way I would do that... I dont really do it for additional income, more just to give me something to root for
10/1/2007 5:20:13 PM
I don't really do it for income either, seeing as I'm only up a few this year. I just like to have enough riding on the games where I really care about the outcome. If I won or lost 50 or 100 bucks, I could just shrug it off, but winning or losing 1000 makes it that much more intense.
