I rather have Jurgen Klinsmann be the analyst than that joker Steve McManaman. The guy knows what he's talking about.
6/20/2010 12:59:11 PM
Lalas is absolutely horrible. He might know his stuff (I don't know), but he is biased to the point that it makes me cringe when I listen to him.

When I die I want to come back as a host on a spanish TV channel.

^i still think trezeguet got a raw deal in '06. he didn't play, and then was expected to come on in the final minute and take a PK while still cold.lalas isn't just biased, he's a rabble rouser. and you would get drunk real fast if you took a shot every time he started a sentence with , "I mean, look..." but for whatever reason, i can tolerate him much more when mcnamara is by his side, because i think the two of them almost balance each other out.[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 1:32 PM. dude that maicon goal gives me almost as big of a stiffy as his goal in against Juventus this yearI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

i haven't had any problems with the espn analysts so far this year. they may be kinda dumb, but they're all pretty funny and for the most part they know what they're talking about. i like macca and lalas because they're always giving each other shit about their teams. jurgen klinsmann is awesome and ruud gullitt and roberto martinez have difficult times speaking english sometimes, but they make good points usually. overall i think they've been pretty good
6/20/2010 2:09:58 PM
This France garbage makes it even more shameful that they're in the tourney instead of Ireland.

what france needs, is a child prostitute that can unite and inspire the team(oh, and i can't stand listening to john harkes when he's in the booth)[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 2:23 PM. Reason : ]

I actually like Lalas. I like my commentators to be biased to my team.
6/20/2010 2:39:00 PM
i dont really like brazil's shape right now. doesnt seem very organized for attack
6/20/2010 2:41:08 PM
kaka hasn't look great so far this tourney, his poor form this year is showing.ivory coast should've started gervinho, he was their best player last game by far
6/20/2010 2:42:30 PM
ahahahaha drogba....you are no cristiano ronaldo. damn that was awful
6/20/2010 2:43:35 PM

6/20/2010 3:02:10 PM

6/20/2010 3:08:35 PM
it's amazing how dangerous Brazil can be on attack while simultaneously keeping 5 or 6 guys completely behind the ball

I just turned on this game and immediately saw a blown call lead to a goal. Where does FIFA find these refs?Ok, so now the ref is laughing about blowing the call. Unreal.[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 3:44 PM. Reason : .]
6/20/2010 3:40:28 PM
at least he caught it that time
6/20/2010 3:44:57 PM
cool professional refereeing.
6/20/2010 3:47:00 PM
yea he may be a shitty ref, but at least he's a pretty cool dude
6/20/2010 3:47:39 PM
damn, terrible defending on that 3rd goal. brazil is playing really well this half.
6/20/2010 3:51:01 PM
hahaha bastos face after line ref called a corner
6/20/2010 3:51:30 PM
ouch.
6/20/2010 3:52:44 PM
all the african teams in the cup play such poor defense, its no wonder they are losing so much
6/20/2010 3:54:52 PM
im pulling for brazil to win it all, but i can step aside from this and say wow to this ref, and all refs...did fifa go in and tell them to just be retarded as possible so the media could talk more about fifa or something? these refs are worse than some adult league refs around this area (and there are some really really bad tasl refs)
6/20/2010 4:02:22 PM
this is by far the worst world cup i've ever seen, so farthe big names are playing like absolute shit, like west cary middle schooli cant think of one team that is playing up to the potential that people expected aside from several low ranking teams, but with that said i still have hope, each game is getting better and better, we'll see
6/20/2010 4:04:03 PM
^^yes there sure are. and yeah, these guys are definitely terrible. he finally gave out a yellow, but Ivory Coast has had some really bad tackles this half.[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 4:04 PM. Reason : k]
6/20/2010 4:04:07 PM
yeah has been at least one red-worthy tackle...drogba wide open headerDunga is gonna be pissed at that. that is old brazil defending right there.[Edited on June 20, 2010 at 4:06 PM. Reason : f]

brazil fell asleep, whoopsie
6/20/2010 4:06:43 PM
Well they thought they had the off-sides call, but you don't stop playing until you hear a whistle.
6/20/2010 4:08:27 PM
Gervinho has definitely added some pace to the Ivory Coast attack.glad to see the replay of that passionate moment between Drogba and Y. Toure. [Edited on June 20, 2010 at 4:11 PM. Reason : ]

I think part of the "failure" of this world cup is that the media built it up so much in efforts of trying to push soccer onto american culture. With a week before the first cup game, every program that had any relevance to athletics had some dumbass(es) give his/her opinion and expectation of what to expect and i think that ruined it.I'd appreciate soccer a lot more if people who had no clue about it would just keep their distance and not butt in, but that's just me being captain obvious.
6/20/2010 4:10:29 PM
gervinho should've been in the whole game
