I think the yellow ones are awesome. Too bad I could never walk in them
3/29/2009 7:28:25 PM
^ I couldn't either. It's so sad to be a woman and be unable to wear heels 90% of the time.
3/29/2009 7:35:16 PM
Those are cute!
3/29/2009 7:35:59 PM
I love heels, but I'm too clumsy for them
3/29/2009 7:36:29 PM
practice makes perfect. just walk with a pair on around your house. and those shoes are cute but a bit too frou frou for me.
3/29/2009 7:37:55 PM
I have a pair of heels that I LOVE but they have 4.5 inch heels and I have no where to wear them.Plus it's getting out of season for them now, so I'll have to wait till next winter.
3/29/2009 7:39:36 PM
I bought the cutest red shoes last summer for a special occasion. Didn't realize I was going to be walking well over a mile through wet grass and pot hole filled gravel/asphalt. I ended up aerating the fields for free. Simply put-- I felt like a complete idiot. So, now I'm trying to be very careful about what to wear for my outdoor wedding. Definitely a very large heel (i.e. not stiletto) or wedge... in the 2-3 inch range MAX. If anyone comes across something online, please post them here! Currently looking at ivory, silver, & red as possibilities. It can be crazy, but preferably without a casual looking cork or woven heel.

I think I'm gonna plan on getting married barefoot, or in rainbows....when or if I ever get married...screw trying to walk down the aisle on uncomfortable heels and stand there trying not to pass out...hell I'll probably tell my bridesmaids to go barefoot too.
3/29/2009 7:51:08 PM
I was going to go with Rainbows, but I don't want to cut off that much of my dress Also, in a good 2 - 3 inch heel I can look him in the eyes instead of having to look up I will probably change after the ceremony, though. Really depends on what I find.

I like the straps on the second one but I dont know about the heel, is that a marble look theyre going for? Looks like you got it dirty...
3/29/2009 8:35:45 PM
I can't wear shoes with an ankle strap....my legs are too short and stocky

i kinda missed the convo but i love colored shoes with a black dress. you can add a lot to the outfit by wearing colored heels but then you have to be careful about jewelry. but i like colored shoes with a black dress as like the big accent or whatever. if you wear a black dress and subtle jewelry then you can get away with some REALLY amazing shoes. that is the best thing about the little black dress [Edited on March 29, 2009 at 11:56 PM. Reason : black/white or any neutral dress.]

hey guys, on a whim I bought some henna-based hair dye at the health food store. as a longtime wannabe redhead, the color looks fantastic and the dye was much less toxic than usual. unfortunately it washes out after a few weeks.
3/30/2009 6:23:35 AM
^pretty!!How many washes does it take, and did you fade back to your normal color?I've been thinking about doing something like that to my hair for awhile now but I kind of like that I'm back to my official natural color too

I just got this skirt and I'm dying to find some shoes to go with it. I can't do sandals because I have pale, fat legs so I need a little heel boost. I love the grey peep toe wedges they have at BR, but I don't want to spend that much for shoes for one outfit. I'm also just thinking about finding a good pair of beige heels to wear with all of my skirts, to make my legs look longer. Having skin that won't tan at all is a pain in the ass.
3/30/2009 11:18:28 AM
Do beige heels look good with your pale skin? I am also super pale, and I think I look worse with light colored shoes. It kind of accentuates the paleness.
3/30/2009 11:22:32 AM
I've been reading lately that wearing shoes that are similar color to your legs / tights makes your legs look longer, but I haven't tested it out. I'm usually a black or red shoe kinda girl.

3/30/2009 12:12:37 PM
I was under the impression that that describes most modern self-tanners.
3/30/2009 12:16:31 PM
^^Jergens "Natural Glow" Daily Moisturizer is a good, but very gradual tanner. You start with the bottle closest to your skin color, and once you're through with that bottle, you go to the next higher up. Here's the promo from the website:
3/30/2009 12:16:34 PM
Sweet....that's what I need, just something that will make me not look like a ghost until summer.Only this summer I'll have a great farmers tan

tartsquid ALDO has some really cute wedges that are reasonably priced right now. and they aren't a very high wedge heel. they're called Dobine.

yay my bespoke boots are about to be posted to memy husband had a bunch of amazon gift certificates that are about to expire, and he still has like 60 bucks left after he got done, so I was thinking about getting a ring. red chalcedony aquamarinewhich one is cuter? the 2nd one is 33 bucks more but might be worth it, i dunno.
3/31/2009 2:14:31 AM
I ended up with these and these (but in bone, which is no longer on the site) instead. Not the wedges I wanted, but still, two pairs for the price of the one pair I had my eye on.
3/31/2009 9:09:14 AM
go for #2 definitely.

3/31/2009 10:21:24 PM

3/31/2009 10:25:22 PM

Surely that's a joke!

+1 on the vajayjay dress comment. light in the box is great for one thing. Whenever the bf starts with the "OMG, we should get married" stuff I go find some ugly dress on that site and claim I am gonna wear that, usually quiets him for a couple weeks. Has anyone tried that Smooth Awayhttps://www.getsmoothaway.com/ver20/index.aspI'm looking for something to use this summer instead of shaving, cause the showers in the cabins make it very hard to shave.
4/1/2009 2:42:05 PM
^wow my mom just mentioned that thing last night. how weird. she said it worked great and she really liked it. i thought it was like Nair, but apparently it's this glove thing that you use to wipe the hair away? i've never used it, but she loved it![Edited on April 1, 2009 at 2:44 PM. Reason : .]
