Damn you Tree I knew it was wrong, so I knew I'd be called out on it, but I didn't care. Y'all knew what I meant.Did they ever elaborate on what "CLEAR" means? I didn't know if it was hidden on the wall scribbles or anything like that. I figured it was just chalked up to "Morgan is batshit crazy now," but I'm still curious as to if it has any specific meaning or reference.
3/4/2013 8:26:57 AM
Just got into the comics. It's crazy how different the show is
3/4/2013 8:30:18 AM
Morgan was a huge surprise to me, but its a shame that he went to crazy and couldn't come along. He could've been the One to finally break the T-Dog curse.I think 'Clear' meant to clean out zombies from his traps, or otherwise clear rooms of zombies cause that's how his son was killed.
3/4/2013 8:45:46 AM
I thought it meant Morgan was a Scientologist.
3/4/2013 9:07:55 AM
^Hahaha yeah as soon as he took off the facemask and it was Morgan I was like "T-Dogg V3 better say his goodbyes".
3/4/2013 9:08:40 AM
Lennie James is too high profile to get T-Dogg treatment or become a series regular.

Off topic, but America seems like its losing any dominance it ever had in producing good actors. A lot of the heavy hitters these days are coming from across the pond or elsewhere - Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler (lol) and if I wasn't so lazy there would be more.
3/4/2013 9:45:50 AM
Just because you have a crush on Christian Bale doesn't mean there aren't great American actors. WTF
3/4/2013 9:49:36 AM
NO BRUCE, LET ME FINISH
3/4/2013 10:20:13 AM
super good episode. i loved it. i REALLY enjoyed the break from the governor & really really liked seeing more of the post-apocalypse world since all we've looked at for weeks now is prison & woodberry.
3/4/2013 10:28:31 AM
yeah... i've decided I'm not a fan of this Governer plot as much as what they did this week and things like supply runs, encountering different survivors, etc. [Edited on March 4, 2013 at 10:50 AM. Reason : ]
3/4/2013 10:49:41 AM
Clear means to clear the area/world of zombies.
3/4/2013 10:52:35 AM
I agree with what Sepinwall said in his latest review. The show that TWD could be based on this episode and the pilot episode would be a much better version of TWD. But unfortunately it would also be a lot lower ratings version of TWD.
3/4/2013 10:57:12 AM
I don't know if the comics did this or not, but I'd like to somehow hear from survivors of other large cities. Maybe they'll break out of GA in season 4. The prison is getting old. I enjoyed the farm more than the prison.
3/4/2013 11:02:12 AM
^The webisodes were good for a break, but those took place in GA too

3/4/2013 11:49:08 AM
i don't mind seeing more of GA. i liked seeing how the small town handled the zombies, those stuck in the cafe, etc. seeing some of other cities/places would be neat too, but i'd still like to focus on our main characters. i'm just tired of the prison, hate the governor, & am not a big fan of his story line. i did like the farm, but got a little tired of it too. i think i still liked the farm more. idk, i think i just like it when they're on the run so that the scenery/location is always changing lol
3/4/2013 11:50:15 AM
so i guess Lori used to be a waitress at that cafe or something
3/4/2013 11:51:06 AM
i'm assuming she worked there yeah.. either that or since Rick was Sheriff he might've been close friends with the owner.what i'm trying to figure out is the overall progression of Rick and the group. Rick left his small town--> Rick and the group left ATL--> Rick and the group left the farm --> Rick and group are at the prison which happens to be "around the corner" from Rick's small town? they just going in circles? or are we to believe everything is within miles of each other?

this episode was pretty much taken right out of the comiceveryone get all butthurt because i mentioned the comic[Edited on March 4, 2013 at 1:09 PM. Reason : or, well, the premise was at least]
3/4/2013 1:09:00 PM
best episode of the seasonless governor drama the better. hopefully they kill that whole storyline off soon.
3/4/2013 1:25:26 PM
This really was the best episode of the season. It's a shame how much potential they squander by trying to do the comic shit but fucking it up. For ex., The Governor and Michonne. Those I know who have read the comics were excited that they were coming. But hate the characters because they're not like the comics. I hate them because they suck. Well, they're FINALLY rounding out Michonne some so I'm starting to like her more. But my earlier comments make it pretty clear I loathed her presence on screen.I'd like to see a version of the show where they didn't delve into much of the more out there stuff from the comics (the governor, who is much more crazy in the comics apparently) or samurai Michonne with her zombie repellent zombies. That, or just really do it up and make way more intense or more campy or something. There are probably 2-3 versions of this show that could work with slightly different audiences. But they are just striking out.
3/4/2013 5:36:52 PM
I agree, more episodic episodes, less story-arc filler episodes.

I found the hitchhiker guy's presence strange. I understand what they're going for, showing how hard the group has become and how hard surviving is. But this guy has apparently survived for months through this whole ordeal, and then he gets taken out in the middle of the road in an open area? Seems like he would have been a little better suited to handle a few walkers than he was.And wow, Morgan has a freaking arsenal of weapons. Pretty sure I'd have taken more than a few bags of weapons/ammo, esp. after what the Governor did to them. I'd have probably taken at least 50% of his guns/ammo and if they wouldn't fit in the car, I'd find a 2nd car, because those are going to be invaluable. Also glad they got Daryl a second/new crossbow, haha. And Carl...I think I'm starting to like him, and then he goes and does really dumb things.
3/5/2013 7:53:54 AM
well he was chasing after them on foot and screaming at them to try to get their attention. he may have drawn a swarm of walkers to him and then not had the energy to escape.
3/5/2013 8:19:09 AM
3/5/2013 11:23:45 AM
^^^ yeah, I kept thinking "why aren't you taking more of those guns?"[Edited on March 5, 2013 at 11:26 AM. Reason : ^]

"you came here for common interests"def something a kid that age would say
3/5/2013 9:16:20 PM
^he would after he heard his dad say the exact same thing at the beginning of the episode...
3/5/2013 10:06:36 PM
Finally watched the episode. 2nd best of the season, only behind the episode when they finally killed off Lori.I also like how they're starting to embrace everyone's craziness. And the reaction to the backpacker really got under my skin. It makes perfect sense, but it still bothered me that they'd leave someone out to dry like that.
3/5/2013 11:01:55 PM
why? they've acted similar all season (like with T-dogg 3.0's group). If it were me and my son, i wouldn't risk him for some stranger.
3/6/2013 6:03:41 AM
i was thrown for a loop when michonne said she used to talk to her dead boyfriend. i had her pegged as a lesbian
3/6/2013 6:33:30 AM
i figured her and andrea lezzed out on those cold lonely nights together.
3/6/2013 8:40:01 AM
3/6/2013 11:03:41 AM
When they first introduced Michonne I thought one of her pet walkers was probably either a brother or boyfriend.
3/6/2013 11:05:34 AM
i could've sworn Michonne's pets were her boyfriend and his best friend or something along those lines.
3/6/2013 12:13:08 PM
she even said it was.andrea said it later too that she had cut the arms and mouth off her ex bf who was a chain gang.

^ last episode was written by the new showrunner
3/7/2013 9:55:41 AM
^^The last episode was similar to the comics in style and character, but was not even close to anything that happened in the series. Also:
3/7/2013 10:14:31 AM
3/10/2013 12:35:47 AM
even though the previews at the end of last week's episode (or maybe the 'special sneak peak' preview from Talking Dead, can't remember) show Rick and The Governor basically face to face in the same room, I'll bet that doesn't happen until 9:59 pm and then the music cuts in and the credits roll
3/10/2013 8:57:49 PM
or it will happen before the opening creditshappy to be wrong
