Deserves a repost.

I'd love to bring a copy of this to the locker room and have him sign it during postgame interviews, but I'm not 100% sure that fellow news media would appreciate it.

The Laviolette-o-Meter failed because we only won 19 of 30 games after the All-Star break instead of the required 20.

Since the All-Star break this season we have won 19 of 29 games. Thursday we have a chance to right a wrong.

I was at the Preds game here in Nashville so I didn't get to see the Canes play but grats to them for continuing to prove that they deserve to be in the post season.

I am scared to say it, but this team is pretty freaking good. I think this is the first time in my Hurricane fandom that we have ever iced a defensive corps like this. Cam is living up to his potential behind a solid defense. Erik Cole has given this team the depth to be able to ice a 3rd line that has been nothing short of phenomenal for us.

I remember thinking a couple of months ago how awesome this team could be if Rod would just transform back into his old self. He may not be 06 playoffs Rod, but on the 3rd line he is putting up those types of numbers.

There is something about this team. I am so freaking excited, but I have to remind myself that we haven't done a thing yet, and it is probably best to just sit back and watch for now

and on a side note... we will likely be tailgating next Saturday, but tickets are looking scarce. I know I definitely cant get the 15 dollar ticket deal that I got last time. This time it might have to be a BYOT(icket) tailgate... I think we need to float a keg again though

All we need now is for Matt Cullen to come back from injury.

I don't know that having him back is a good thing. Not a bad thing, but maybe not good. I feel the chemistry currently is pretty solid without him.

...

you serious?

Matt Cullen is the fucking man. All you'd be doing is moving Jokinen to the wing. Cullen is just as much a part of our awesome chemistry as anyone else over the past month.

what, when we brought Williams back and it ruined things?

Are you honestly comparing bringing back a guy who has been out 4 games to a guy who missed most the season?

Don't you agree that Cullen has been a huge part of our success?

and yeah i fucking remember last year. If Cullen hadn't have been ambushed and had all those concussion problems, we probably would have made the playoffs last year. Matt Cullen is the fucking man

also, I remember how fucking awful it felt after we lost the last game of the year and I had to drive 4 hours home to visit my mom, and then watch the Caps win the next night. I don't think it'll end quite so bad this year

So we had gone 7-1-2 in March with Matt Cullen in the lineup. Since he went down we are 3-0, so you guys are using that as a rational to want him to stay out? Nevermind the fact that the production of that line dropped off immediately, and never mind the fact that Jokinen was fitting in very well with Brind'Amour and Samsonov?

of course i agree that he's been a part of our success. but it's not like we've dearly missed him while he's been out. let him rest and get to be a hundred percent for a playoff run.

and I also agree that he is the fucking man

The power play hasn't been quite as sharp with out cullen. Sidenberg is not a viable option on the power play in the later rounds of the playoffs... Cullen (The fucking man) must come back. It is nothing like the Williams situation

I really think it may be possible to win out (or just lose 1 or 2 in OT) and end up ahead of Philly....

just gotta beat PIT/NYR head to head and we will be punching our playoff tix anyways

I apologize, I thought Cullen had been out longer. Odd, because I have been keeping up. Cullen is much more tangible than Williams, but that is what I was referring to with the Canes missing the offs last season.
