The fact that they are dirty Canadians doesn't hurt the press, either
4/14/2011 4:29:28 PM
^ thats why their house was a mess. You damn dirty Canadians!
4/14/2011 5:09:50 PM
I just saw this from wral:
4/14/2011 5:26:30 PM
Damn dirty apes canadians.
4/14/2011 5:27:14 PM
Yeah thats a load of shit, I saw scratches but did not take any photos or enter them as evidence.
4/14/2011 5:29:02 PM
you didn't take pictures of his neck!, this displeases Jack McCoy!#jackmacface.
4/14/2011 7:25:54 PM
seriouslyif they didnt take pictures of the scratches, dude deserves to walk for THAT AND THAT ALONEI said way the fuck back when the trial started that if CPD were worth half a fuck they'd have done proper due diligence. I'm not even a fucking policeman and I know what sort of shit I'd be looking at and taking pictures of if I started out an investigation and the husband was the main "person of interest."
4/14/2011 8:17:37 PM
So did they show pictures of how disgusting the house was, or is it par for the course in this case - someone giving testimony that they thought it was disgusting... because that somehow paints Brad as a killer and not Nancy as a terrible house wife. I take it with a grain of salt if it was just testimony without pictures. Filed in that list of testimonies where he was displaying "strange" "unusual" or "odd" behavior by doing things that everyone does.
4/14/2011 8:27:23 PM
Schillaci would have this wrapped up by now.
4/14/2011 8:57:43 PM
^^yeah they showed pictures from throughout the house. The kitchen was pretty bad but the master bedroom was awful. The sheets looked old, she didn't even make the bed that day, and there was a picture of some old pillows with no pillow cases on them they were all discolored eww. Boxes piled up high like they were pack-rats living out of them.
4/14/2011 9:04:09 PM
They showed how dirty the house was to show that brad cleaned the hallway and kitchen floor to cover up that's where he killed her. Same with his car, trunk was spotless, rest of the car was a mess.Same reason they showed what a money grubbing whore nancy was. To give a damn a good reason why brad would've killed her.
4/14/2011 9:08:02 PM
Interesting. Missed today. Thanks for the updates.
4/14/2011 9:11:52 PM
watching what I missed today - house was a damn dump.
4/14/2011 9:52:27 PM
I don't understand how you can have a wife who does not work at all and the house is so nasty its hardly habitable.
4/14/2011 10:24:15 PM
justified?

^That or he had already researched it out and he was just double checking how to get there - ok, so turn right, second left, got it.Also I'm assuming that his zip code is different - ie he didn't just punch in his own zip code, because that would make this whole thing pretty stupid.\/ I guess it could still be a double check for how to get there from his house.[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 7:36 AM. 4/15/2011 7:22:53 AM
It's 41 seconds total--3 seconds total at Fielding Drive. And 27518 is his own zip code.

Finally got to the pictures. The first several pictures were understandable. It was mostly extreme clutter. They likely had thousands of dollars in toys and the toys had to go somewhere. They also had more than one kid. I'm not sure of their ages at the time, but many times I've experienced that when you get more than one kid in a room they can turn it from spotless to knee deep in crap in a matter of minutes. Like kids have this natural instinct to get in a contest to see who can clutter up a room the fastest once you get them in packs. I can see parents getting to the point of just giving up if that scenario keeps playing out.The bedroom was indeed a mess, but that was explained with the move that was put off, and it's pretty clear that Nancy was completely lazy when it came to housework. The house probably fell apart while Brad was at work and the only cleaning that was done was by him on the weekends.I don't know that I'd label it "hardly habitable" though. I've seen some "hardly habitable" houses and their house was clean (but cluttered) by comparison.[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 8:46 AM. Reason : -]

We back
4/15/2011 9:53:09 AM
why the fuck could they not have played this deposition with a relevant witness to comment on aspects of it before?
4/15/2011 10:49:32 AM
Dam BC was whipped.
4/15/2011 10:53:49 AM
Man I hate the lady in the deposition. How did he not strangle her?
4/15/2011 10:56:08 AM
you mean how did she not strangle herself, trip and fall, and die?
4/15/2011 10:59:57 AM
Is anyone else worried about Brad having more details in the deposition? At that point he had a lot of time to think about things compared to when the detective had talked to him right after Nancy went missing.
4/15/2011 11:53:00 AM
Whether he did it or not, I imagine his state of mind was significantly different in those two interviews.[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 12:01 PM. Reason : ]
4/15/2011 11:59:41 AM
That's what I mean....lots more was probably going on in his head when the detective spoke to him
4/15/2011 12:01:51 PM
I'm only half-listening, but it seems they're just using this as an excuse to play the deposition again while the nitpick it. It probably doesn't look good to the WebSleuth crowd (OMG he never said he didn't do it!), but it doesn't seem terribly significant to me.--------------"does cary police department have equipment to record conversations?""no"[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 12:10 PM. ^haha I chuckled
4/15/2011 12:18:31 PM

4/15/2011 1:48:24 PM
everyone seems to forget the whole innocent until proven guilty i swear.still nothing for me to put a man away for life or execute him if i was a juror.besides, the defense hasnt even gone yet.

WE BACK
4/15/2011 2:34:55 PM
any hint about when the prosecution will rest?
4/15/2011 2:35:35 PM
I was not aware of it.
4/15/2011 2:40:54 PM
SERIOUSLYFUCKING SERIOUSLYThis detective is retarded"Do you know that a smartphone can contain a calendar?"No I'm not aware"Do you know that a smartphone can take pictures?"No I'm not aware
4/15/2011 2:41:24 PM
Haha he sounds like the FBI phone "expert".
4/15/2011 2:53:37 PM
Forrest Whitaker as lead Detective Bubba Gump
4/15/2011 2:57:31 PM
This is fucking laughable, and this Judge clearly already has it out for the defendant. This Detective, as the lead detective, is responsible for ALL actions of his staff. I can't believe this is even up for debate.
4/15/2011 2:57:45 PM
I think this is a good case to show that people really should pay attention to how they vote for judges. I've never taken it seriously before but I will now. Gessner is awful and makes me Objection Sustained!? really?
4/15/2011 3:00:04 PM
I'm just surprised he's continued to let this detective sit on the stand and answer "I don't know" to every question asked, when he had answers to all the prosecution's questions.
4/15/2011 3:02:18 PM
^^^, ^^Agreed. He seems more concerned with eating lunch or leaving "at 5" then hearing the case.[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 3:03 PM. Reason : ...]
4/15/2011 3:02:49 PM
So...the scratch marks were important enough to point out to another detective, but not important enough to take a picture?Kinda like straw on the carpet, I suppose.[Edited on April 15, 2011 at 3:12 PM. Reason : and I don't believe for a second that Stubbs and CPD weren't talking.]
