they look like knock-offs from Wal Mart
3/8/2012 1:00:36 PM
saw this on eBay listed as "12-13 USA jerseys"I'd consider buying one of these if they really end up looking like this.
3/10/2012 10:26:21 AM
where's waldo
3/10/2012 11:27:18 AM
I love the Stars jersey. It's not any worse than the Cameroon "lion attack" onesie:
3/10/2012 1:57:27 PM
^^^ I promise you that the back of that jersey looks like ass....probably with a giant white box right in the middle where the numbers go. See Paraguay. But seriously, the US just needs to stick to a style and stay with it, like every other country does.Ahhhh, perhaps like this?[Edited on March 10, 2012 at 2:14 PM. Reason : ]

Any hoop jersey is going to look like that under international tournament rules where the numbers must be on a solid field.
3/10/2012 8:52:55 PM
^which is exactly why I am not a fan of the hoop designs.
3/10/2012 10:15:18 PM
Looks like the U-23 team is off to a good start. USA 6 Cuba 0. The semi-final could be tough since it will probably be Mexico, or Honduras.
3/22/2012 11:49:21 PM
^^^^^ seriously dude you are a cock looker. that picture is just gross.

3/23/2012 12:30:57 PM
WOW! I was too busy watching basketball to watch the game, but we lost to Canada at home and now need a win vs El Salvador to get to the semi-finals and have a chance at the Olympics.
3/24/2012 10:06:02 PM
WOW! What an entertaining game though. The USA scored in the second minute to go up 1-0 then gave up two quick goals in a matter of a few minutes later in the half to go down 2-1 at the half. Then they came back to take the lead 3-2, but gave up a goal at 93 minutes and 45 seconds when they were supposed to play 4 minutes of injury time. [Edited on March 26, 2012 at 11:25 PM. Reason : .]

3/27/2012 8:05:13 AM
isn't this the under 23 team?[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 10:17 AM. Reason : nevermind, i forgot about the age limit for the Olympics]
3/27/2012 10:15:58 AM
Olympic soccer: do not care.
3/27/2012 12:19:26 PM
do you not care about the future of us soccer
3/27/2012 12:44:31 PM
show me someone who has a memory of an Olympic soccer game and I'll show you a liar
3/27/2012 12:50:24 PM
yeah, I didn't watch any of the last Olympics. And I'm a loser!
3/27/2012 12:53:38 PM
With Shea, Bunbury, Adu, and Agudelo this team should be qualifying. You may not care about the Olympics but I care that some of these guys could be in the '14 world cup squad. If they can't qualify through CONCACAF than they won't win anything[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:13 PM. Reason : ]
3/27/2012 12:55:21 PM
It's never a good thing to lose but not being at the last Olympics wasn't a good reflection of Mexico's youth talent. We'll be fine.[Edited on March 27, 2012 at 1:11 PM. Reason : .]
3/27/2012 1:11:09 PM
^ This. The Olympic tournament is purposefully a bizarre and neutered competition, so it doesn't interfere with the importance of any of the FIFA competition, be they the World Cup itself or any of the youth World Cups.

I really love the idea of hoops, hate the idea of having a blank block on the back (i know the rule), and hate how their design technique is to just heap new ideas on top of existing ideas (the sash on an already hooped jersey). Also the number should be a solid navy, and those emblems inside the numbers are hideous.
4/16/2012 3:38:01 PM
I don't have a problem with the space, it just feels gigantic on this jersey. And the color choice of the numbers is odd.And fuck the sash, seriously.[Edited on April 16, 2012 at 3:41 PM. Reason : #s]
4/16/2012 3:40:38 PM
That's a good point about the space. Couldn't they just make it a neat box, solely around the number?
4/16/2012 3:41:40 PM
Gotta be wide enough for the name.
4/16/2012 8:01:47 PM
we don't put names on our jerseys anymore
4/16/2012 8:11:20 PM
Yeah, hell, Klinsmann doesn't even let our players choose their numbers. How you gonna put a name to a number when it's going to change next week anyway?Honestly, I don't like names on national team kits anyway. Earn the recognition by scoring and having a number on your back, not the other way around. Yadig?[Edited on April 16, 2012 at 9:48 PM. Reason : .]

we play Scotland at 8 on NBC Sports, if anyone caresI don't but I'll be watching nonetheless
5/26/2012 7:25:41 PM
I care, hope to see us field a legit team, minus Altidore and Dempsey aren't playing tonight.
5/26/2012 7:45:24 PM
damn Klinsi loves Boydnice to see Torres back[Edited on May 26, 2012 at 8:15 PM. Reason : those numbers on the US jersey look so dumb]
5/26/2012 8:10:08 PM
Wooooo 1-0Anthem was ugly
5/26/2012 8:26:29 PM
HOLY FUCK WHAT A HIT
5/26/2012 8:34:05 PM
What a hit son...what a hit.
5/26/2012 8:35:03 PM
Hat trick for Donovan..that came quick.
5/26/2012 9:44:54 PM
we look damn good. that midfield is legit as hellit's 5-1 now!
5/26/2012 9:48:22 PM
This is the USMNT that I had hoped for when Klinsmann was hired. Uptempo, positive play. Lots of one-touch passing, quick on the counter...this is fun stuff to watch.
5/26/2012 10:04:39 PM
I mean Scotland is pretty bad but 5 goals against anybody is nice.[Edited on May 26, 2012 at 10:16 PM. Reason : golaso]
5/26/2012 10:09:48 PM
I guess we will see more on Wednesday. I haven't watch Brazil much since the 2010 WC but I imagine the style and tempo of play is significantly different than Scotland's was today.
5/26/2012 10:23:41 PM
Brazil's roster is a lot of young guys...Average caps: 8.2Average age: 22.2

5/27/2012 11:21:02 AM
Who put that ball in for Donovan to lay off before Bradley mashed on it?

Jermaine Jones[Edited on May 27, 2012 at 3:57 PM. Reason : Donovan to Jones to Bradley ]
5/27/2012 3:56:30 PM
What's Brazil's lineup for the game?
5/29/2012 11:30:50 AM
GOALKEEPERS: Jefferson (Botafogo, 4 caps), Neto (Fiorentina, 0), Rafael (Santos, 0).DEFENDERS: Dani Alves (Barcelona, 55 caps), Danilo (Porto, 2), Juan (Inter Milan, 0), David Luiz (Chelsea, 11), Marcelo (Real Madrid, 9), Alex Sandro (Porto, 2), Thiago Silva (AC Milan, 25), Bruno Uvini (Tottenham, 0).MIDFIELDERS: Casemiro (Sao Paulo, 1 cap), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos, 8), Giuliano (Dnipro, 0), Lucas (Sao Paulo, 11), Wellington Nem (Fluminense, 0), Oscar (Internacional, 2), Romulo (Vasco de Gama, 1), Sandro (Tottenham, 9).FORWARDS: Leandro Damiao (Internacional, 5 caps), Hulk (Porto, 9), Neymar (Santos, 16), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan, 18)
5/29/2012 11:34:51 AM
I haven't seen Neymar play much yet. Obviously he is one of the more hyped young players in the world, so I'm eager to see him. That Brazil frontline will be SICK going forward. The midfield is lacking for a Brazil team.
5/29/2012 2:29:49 PM
you're in for a treatNeymar is going to run rings around that US back lineand you're out of it, that midfield is pretty strong. Just because you don't see Kaka or Ronaldinho doesn't mean it's weak at all. Ganso is amazing and so are Wellington and Lucas. [Edited on May 29, 2012 at 7:55 PM. Reason : .]
