When Rick met maggie and glenn in the woods after escaping Woodbury with merle and Darryl, Merle mentions something about Andrea and Michonne hanging out in the woods during the winter, and Rick asks her "You know Andrea"?

So Merle was Henry in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. I was thinking about saving that for around Halloween but it has been bumped to the top of the queue oh yes.

I am glad that Andrea finally had a chance to see her old group, and that she was welcomed back (though understandably cautiously at first). I don't think Andrea's old group did that great of a job convincing Andrea to be on their side. Despite recalling some things the govna did, they appeared equally has crazy and vengeful. Just my opinion.I lie how they gave the old busted up car with no windows, that was clearly not freshly washed like all the other cars they use. They obviously have an Autobell in the back of the prison they could have run that car through. What a dick move.
2/26/2013 11:46:28 AM
i think that was Robocop's old ride.
2/26/2013 11:52:01 AM
^^I imagine that's intentional on the part of the writers. It forms more of a dilemma if you can look at "Phillip" and Rick as lovable/respectable crazies. Adding to that is the tepid welcome she receives from many of her former family, complicating the question of where her loyalties lie.
2/26/2013 2:03:26 PM
Actually, i said it kind of wrong. I think Rick, Merle, Darryl and Maggie escape Woodbury, then meet Glen and Michonne in the woods. Then Merle mentions something about Michonne and Andrea getting picked up by the Governor's crew.
2/26/2013 2:07:20 PM
I wish Merle had told Andrea all the shit the governor had him do behind her back. It came out that the gov tried to kill Michonne after she split, but he didn't really get into any of the specifics about what they did to Glen and Maggie while they were being held there. There was also the cold blooded murder of the soldiers orchestrated by the gov that Merle knew about and took place while Andrea was there. And the Gov already had a conversation with Merle before his betrayal where he admits to wanting to kill everyone in the prison for no other reason than claiming his turf.I realize she couldn't kill the gov because she's in love with him or whatever, but they sent her back with the idea that he's a man bent against Rick, and not the crazy psychopath he really is.

Does anyone else get bothered by the fact that at least 50% of the dialog on this show is discussion of what will happen next, who it will involve, who it won't involve, and who thinks it's a bad idea. I realize that some of it is necessary, but sometimes it seems like they just use it to fill time/space. Is it really necessary for every character to debate EVERYTHING? Couldn't they use that time for actual content? I can't tell if this is either laziness, a trick to create tension, or just limited creative ability.

nah

I guess Breaking Bad has me spoiled

I get the feeling a lot of that us due to budget though? The show overall seem very low budget. How often can they afford to have a crazy zombie scenario where they are on the edge trying to survive in an apocalypse, while people are trying to eat them? SPOILERS!!!I'm on episode 3 of the games, for example, and they can't really do a TV episode with a train, or hop around from a motel, to a farm, to a motel, without having to use a lot of CGI or build sets.Or it could just be bad management and writing...
2/27/2013 1:35:54 PM
zombies are taking a back seat in this zombie show.a major character needs to get eaten soon.

Usually, the dialogue goes like this:Character 1 - "I'm gonna do this, and this and thats how its gonna be"Character 2 - "No, this and this will happen and its too risky, you can't do it"Character 1 - *looks off into space* "Well, damnit, then this is gonna happen, when we do this"Character 2 - *stares at character 1 for 5 seconds* "Well if you're gonna do that, then take this person with you"Character 1 - *stares at character 2, blinks, stares at character 3 entering shot, blinks* "Well ok, lets go"That conversation happens 3-4 times a show taking up 3-5 minutes every pop. Thats almost half your show every week. (These stats are real........)

This show goes through showrunners faster than it does T-dogs.

Finally just got around to watching this week's episode. It was painfully obvious that Andrea wasn't going to kill the governor. But what I was hoping for was that he would actually be awake and when she turned away from him to put the knife back, he would kill her. That would have been a pretty good ending to the episode.
2/28/2013 9:58:57 PM
i could go for that. her perpetual look of confusion (along with horrid acting) make me want her face bitten off
3/1/2013 6:45:35 AM
I really expecting the gov to wake up and kill her. Disappoint.
3/1/2013 8:00:24 AM
i was hoping the episode would end with a close up of his eye springing open.
3/1/2013 8:12:46 AM
It already showed him awake when she got up
3/1/2013 9:52:51 AM
what episode were you watching?certainly not the same one we were.
3/1/2013 5:26:23 PM
when i watched it i thought when she got out of bed you could see him open his eye, but i guess not
3/1/2013 5:42:52 PM
This show is insanely boring. I think I'm done with it.
3/2/2013 11:33:02 AM
^ BYE!
3/2/2013 7:23:21 PM
New episode tonight!!!
3/3/2013 5:18:11 PM
the preview shows them getting stuck in the mudwonder how they get out of that jam, roll down the window and samurai sword the walkers?
3/3/2013 5:21:19 PM
Morgan comes out of nowhere and kills all the walkers surrounding the car.
3/3/2013 5:25:31 PM
is that a comic book tv spoiler?
3/3/2013 5:31:34 PM
its way too early for Morgan isnt it?but that doesnt mean shit for the TV show
3/3/2013 5:33:35 PM
3/3/2013 5:34:23 PM
why'd that dumb bitch stop in a patch of mud anyway
3/3/2013 9:04:58 PM
ha nice, that's what i was thinking.
3/3/2013 9:14:30 PM
Nice reveal
3/3/2013 9:51:38 PM
What was the reveal?I've kinda enjoyed a non-pleasantville episode. I just don't like anything to do with the governor or what he's doing/planning.
3/3/2013 9:54:20 PM
what did they pick up from the side of the road? i rewound and watched in slo motion but couldnt tell
3/3/2013 10:07:08 PM
The hiker dudes backpack.
3/3/2013 10:07:59 PM
the hitchhiker's bag[Edited on March 3, 2013 at 10:08 PM. Reason : where the hell did the crib to when they were packing?]
3/3/2013 10:08:01 PM
The pack belonged to the guy they didn't pick up at the first of the show
3/3/2013 10:08:08 PM
Jason Street looks so weird when he's not in his wheelchair
3/3/2013 10:15:35 PM
Morgan is British in real-life too?
3/3/2013 10:29:14 PM
yeah apparently half the cast is british
3/3/2013 10:33:36 PM
i really liked this episode.
3/3/2013 10:37:31 PM
Rick is a red coat too?? W T F
3/3/2013 10:38:39 PM
acting in this episode seemed about 4 notches above the norm.Methinks this is because Morgan is had one of the better performances of the season so far. Also, hooray for a slight bit of character development from Michonne.
3/3/2013 10:47:32 PM
That was probably the best episode in recent weeks.
