^^^Yes, I'd like to know this as well.I wanna make bad decisions with my day and stuff.
2/24/2015 11:50:28 AM
^ what's on the agenda?
2/24/2015 11:53:44 AM
^^we already know you're gonna fall down trying to do things of average ability.
2/24/2015 11:54:58 AM
I swear, meteorologists have one of the easiest jobs in the world. Just look at the "trends" computer models spit out and formulate a forecast. If you're wrong, who cares, mother nature is a fickle bitch after all, right?
2/24/2015 12:02:59 PM
haha, yeah.Tuesday had a snowflake "on it" for like 75% of the last 7 days. But as of yesterday it wasn't there, was going to be well over freezing today, with close to no chance of precipitation.
2/24/2015 12:04:01 PM
Also, this NW movement is killin' me. [Edited on February 24, 2015 at 12:13 PM. Reason : fffff]
2/24/2015 12:05:36 PM
I posted a video explaining why I'm saying that. Just watch it.Basically, there will be no freezing rain/sleet line with this storm. It's either gonna be snow or rain. Right now, alot of the models are trending more NW which mover the Snow/rain line further NW. The last few model runs have had that line right on charlotte/RDU doorstep. This line could setup 25 miles south of raleigh and you guys get 8 inches or it could set up 15 miles north of raleigh and you get a shit ton of rain. The models trending NW is not a good thing, but we won't know until the precipitation falls.

^^^^cool story bro
2/24/2015 12:06:49 PM
2/24/2015 12:14:47 PM
okay, I think I get it wolfpack2105. you're talking about a future event, not what's happening right now.
2/24/2015 12:30:45 PM
so what were they predicting yesterday morning/early afternoon for the Triangle today? A dusting?
2/24/2015 12:44:19 PM
not even a dusting
2/24/2015 12:45:23 PM
damn. so when did they decide we were probably gonna get some snow? when it started falling?
2/24/2015 12:54:13 PM
i like how we dont know if its going to snow in 12 hours but we KNOW for sure that man is changing the climate for the worse..
2/24/2015 12:59:01 PM
predicting the future vs studying the past
2/24/2015 1:02:22 PM
^^ and ^^^ models only started showing higher amounts of qpf eaaaarly this morning. Took pretty much everyone by surprise that this was as big as it was. Severely overperformed. 2 days ago, it was only supposed to be a trace maker for southern counties and SC
2/24/2015 1:04:22 PM
you amateur weathermen crack me the fuck up
2/24/2015 1:11:57 PM

One of you guys should do something productive with your internet expert skills and find MH370
2/24/2015 1:19:39 PM
so wait wolfpack2105 do you have a degree in meteorology or something? Or are you just a guy that looks at outputs and tries to sound like he knows what he is talking about?
2/24/2015 1:23:28 PM
Don't post that 75th percentile map. It's quite deceiving. The 50th is the best one and most accurate
2/24/2015 1:23:40 PM
I just forward information. If anything I've said is wrong, please...correct me. Pretty sure I'm right on most everything I've said today.
2/24/2015 1:25:43 PM
I would just like to say, I have no idea what I'm talking about, I just like posting models and maps
2/24/2015 1:25:47 PM
plz post models.good ones.
2/24/2015 1:27:35 PM

I'm in the same boat, I just like driving the hype machine. I know nothing about this stuff.I'm like Wolfpack2105 but I don't act like I know what i'm talking about.
2/24/2015 1:31:09 PM
this current system has been backbuilding nicely
2/24/2015 1:34:04 PM
I took 2 atmosphere/climate classes. Decided it wasn't more than a side hobby for me. I can read and decipher basic models and maps but if you know just the slightest bit about it, anyone can do that.Anyone can post crazy models showing the raleigh area getting a foot of snow. I like to be more realistic in the chances of that. I'm not a meteorologist and none of the info I've posted in here is my own...but it is correct from a meteorological standpoint.^^lol, what? all I've done in this thread is warn against expecting high snowfall with this type of system. Anyone that's lived in NC with a basic understanding of these gulf coast, coast riding low pressure systems knows how finicky they can be. No worries though, I'll stop Posting common knowledge you can get from any weather forum. Take the lead jbucky. [Edited on February 24, 2015 at 1:37 PM. Reason : ffs]
