Do you really know what handing the democrats a supermajority would mean for the country? Some scary stuff here...http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html
10/17/2008 10:48:18 AM
good gravy wsj, why are things in the opinion section labeled "articles"those things are "columns"i suspect your cms programmer is to blame
10/17/2008 10:51:04 AM
^ I thought one had to be a serial contributor for it to be considered a "column"? For example, Greg Mankiw submits occasional op-eds to WSJ (i have no clue who wrote the piece linked above, so i'm using an example I'm familiar with), but not a regular basis. Therefore, wouldn't his piece be called an "article" and not a "column"? I could be very wrong on that, though.
10/17/2008 11:26:40 AM
^^^ wow, what a surprise that wsj would publish something like that!Didn't they break the story that Obama is the anti-christ?
10/17/2008 11:30:14 AM
10/17/2008 11:34:16 AM
That WSJ article was ridiculous. Not to mention-- anyone who would characterize net neutrality laws as "regulation" needs a reality check.
10/17/2008 12:04:41 PM
Oh my god, HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This picture captures what Nov will be like for McCain. Bonnus comments: And hooksaw, no one gives two flying shits how often you try to attack Joe Biden, your posts are pathetic.
10/17/2008 12:56:33 PM
^The picture is hilarious, but you totally killed the humor when you tried to apply it to the election.Just let the funny stand on its own.
10/17/2008 1:01:54 PM
^^ 1. I don't have to attack Biden--he does all the work for me.2. And that post isn't pathetic? Just look at yourself, man.

10/17/2008 2:07:33 PM
^^ ha, was about to paste those links. Good to insert a bit of humor into the campaign on both sides, but it does make it even harder to take all the ridiculous attacks and soundbites they will continue throwing at each other within minutes of the dinner being over.[Edited on October 17, 2008 at 2:08 PM. I heard NPR say Joe the Plumber would be better off under Obama's plan than McCains, and it looks like they were right:For Shrike:
10/17/2008 3:32:33 PM
^ that was hilarious, I wonder who helped him write that?
10/17/2008 3:45:41 PM
McCain's speech was much better. Too bad I can't embed.

McCains - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRSmQqw65PgObama's - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5SWQJWm6TgBoth were very good. Very funny, and well delivered. If you want to talk about "partisan hackery", it would be in claiming that one was "much better" than the other. Can't we at least agree one one, simple point that both of them were good at something, instead of turning everything into a pissing contest?
10/17/2008 4:36:36 PM
Some woman on her BMW 5-series had one bumper sticker."Palin- Country First"I didn't realize Palin was running on her own ticket now!Who was that old guy that was going to be president again?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html?mod=rss_opinion_mainThe idea of a "liberal supermajority" intrigues me, but mostly just worries me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SQTxxkdSIsRepublican representative says congressman need to be investigated for being anti-American.
10/17/2008 6:44:31 PM
So what are teh goals of the liberal anti-american political leaders? They want to bend over and take it in the butt by Putin. Give Osama Bin Laden a pardon. I just don't get it....I am not big fan of liberal policies but I think people in the country are finally starting to wake up from their 9/11 fright that politicians need more to their campaigns than fear-mongering reminiscent of the 1950's red scare campaigns.

LOLhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCipmnYCKB0here's the clip with the rest of it... somebody said they were voting McCain so he asked him what he thought of Biden as his VP and the guy said it was a good choice, patheticthis is why things like race, age, speaking ability, etc are pretty much the only thing that matters in elections[Edited on October 17, 2008 at 10:14 PM. 10/17/2008 10:12:39 PM
Hah, that must've been why Hannity decided to take calls from Obama supporters today. It backfired on him, though. A lot of the guys who called had to be cut off because they were making too much sense oh, and hold the eff on. Just imagine a liberal media outlet had pointed out conservatives' ignorance. ^I urge you to reconsider. I know you want Obama elected. But you shouldn't merely ignore the results of a health-care plan that mimics his plan fairly closely..a plan that got swamped out in only 7 months!Obama's goal in his health-care program is to get as many people as possible on it...so that everyone is dependent on gov't for their health-care. He will create incentives and punishments in order to cajole everyone into his universal plan. But just like Hawaii, we won't be able to afford it without either massive increased taxation on everyone or massive fiat money creation.[Edited on October 18, 2008 at 11:20 AM. Reason : .]
