Given the recent events, I have a feeling we are going to start seeing more of him
4/14/2014 1:59:20 PM
Guess they changed actors, that was Tommen sitting next to Joffrey at the feast. Really wouldn't surprise me if any of the people on the stage were involved. But isn't Tommen still like 8-10 years old? Can't imagine him poisoning him, but maybe he's even more evil than Joffrey.
4/14/2014 2:37:22 PM
Alright. Watched it again. So Joffrey pours the wine on Tyrion. They have the goblet back and forth. He kicks it under the table past Tyrion and Sansa picks it up. "Fill it up."Tyrion then grabs the wine that's in front of Cersei and Tywin to refill his goblet. "Kneel before your king!" "Oh the pie!" Margaery takes the goblet from Joffrey and sits it at her side of the table by Olenna so Joffrey can cut the pie open. They get a slice delivered. She feeds him a bite. "Uncle where ya goin?! I need wine!" Tyrion walks around the table to get the wine. Margaery still hasn't eaten a bite and all while Joffrey continues to eat pie. "This pie is dry" Takes a sip. Gasp choke gasp. "Save your king!" Cersei knocks Margaery out of the way. Joffrey Dead.Fool "yo Sansa we gotta go right now"Olenna at the royal wedding with the poison! *checks envelope*
4/14/2014 2:45:31 PM
could have been Olenna. **PREVIEW SPOILERS**In the preview Margerie is all like "I was to be the queen!", which could hint at her being unaware of the plan. What house is the fool from again?
4/14/2014 3:06:18 PM
seems worth noting that cersei sends away Pycelle for essentially no reason. He'd be sort of qualified to maybe help a poisoned person.
4/14/2014 3:10:57 PM
^^^Yeah that's basically where I pulled my Lady Tyrell theory from. And the fact that the goblet was on the left table(facing the stage) really only left the Tyrell's as possible culprits. I wasn't sure if Margaery had any of the pie or not, but they spent way too much time on the wine for the pie to have been the source of the poison.^^Yeah the previews for next week led me to believe she wasn't in on the plan but the way the scene looked depicted, it looked like Olenna had just told Margaery of her plan/actions and she was saying "but I would have been Queen" like she was upset Olenna did it.I would be surprised if they revealed who all was involved so quickly though.
4/14/2014 3:16:25 PM
They did change actors. The kid playing Tommen now actually played one of the Lannister squires who was murdered by Rickard Karstark last season.
4/14/2014 3:20:03 PM
^^It's not necessarily an instant effect poison though, the poison could've been drank on his pre-pie drink, making the lannisters and sansa potential suspects.[Edited on April 14, 2014 at 3:21 PM. Reason : hdb]
4/14/2014 3:20:54 PM
^^^yeah after watching again I don't think it was pie either. He gets his delivered and only one we see eat it, but every one else gets their pie at the same time--you see a few servants walking around carrying precut slices. Yeah someone could have just poisoned his piece, but the placement of the goblet so he could cut the pie--I didn't notice that last night. Olenna has every reason to want to protect her granddaughter and her future from Joffrey. And Tyrion definitely didn't do it.^maybe. He does immediately start gasping from his sip of the post pie bite, but the effects of the poison itself--turning grayish green, immediately vomiting, nose & ear bleed--seems like it was pretty powerful shit. It was that old bitch. Why else did they flash to her face like eight times during the feast... that and she had that comment to sansa about how awful it was to have died at a wedding...[Edited on April 14, 2014 at 3:45 PM. Reason : and I think his cup was right in front of her before he took the fatal sip]
4/14/2014 3:44:37 PM
Old bitch = Olenna. But if we're gonna name suspects who got camera cutaway time during the reception then they also flashed to Varys a lot. That's bald dude without a penis.

4/14/2014 4:36:33 PM
I enjoyed the episode but I was disappointed by the fact that Joffrey didn't die in a sword fight or something of that nature...I was hoping someone would slay him, instead of poisoning.
4/14/2014 8:39:01 PM
he's a fucking pussy who ran from the fight at the blackwaterof course this is the way he had to go out
4/14/2014 9:10:15 PM
^^^too bad they used several crowd shots post that scene between he and Cersai where he was still very clearly visible. Continuity errors on my HBO show?
4/14/2014 9:15:08 PM
the real shame is that arya doesn't get to murk him.
4/14/2014 9:48:49 PM
Mercenary -> merc -> murk?

Commenting on this ^, so if you didn't click, consider this a:************* SPOILER *****************Yeah I caught all of that from the first viewing except the piece of the necklace being the actual poison. But the way they featured the necklace last week, figured it had some meaning/importance. Makes sense that Olenna asks her servants to find the most beautiful necklace they could, and then all of a sudden Sansa is given a necklace and Olenna never mentions the necklace again until she stops and admires it at the feast and Margaery isn't wearing some elaborate necklace despite Olenna dispatching all of her servants to find a necklace for the wedding. I'm not sure why people suspected some of us pointing the finger at Olenna had read spoilers, all of the pieces were obviously there and the directors have been a little heavy-handed with some of these elements. Oh well, ready to see how this "trial" goes against Tyrion/Sansa.***********SPOILER**********************
4/15/2014 8:42:37 AM
How exactly are screengrabs with explanations from last week's show a spoiler?
4/15/2014 9:54:22 AM
^^your last sentence makes it clear that you've read the books, you wouldn't know about that otherwise[Edited on April 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Reason : ^screen grabs arent', explanations definitely are]
4/15/2014 9:59:51 AM
^What? How could you NOT watch the last episode, see Cersei immediately accuse Tyrion and not assume there is going to be a trial? I haven't read a single page of any book, but it's just glaringly obvious that Tyrion was "setup", he even says so in the previews for the next episode that he's been "framed". The writing around this murder hasn't really been that intricate, I'm sure there are a LOT of pieces I'm missing(people involved, reasons, etc), but anyone who watched that episode would know that Tyrion would end up having s trial or trying to prove his innocence considering: he was the first person accused(by the kings mother's no less), had plenty of motive, and was the last person to physically touch the goblet that everyone believes contained poison. My only interest in the trial is that I want Tyrion alive(love Dinklage's work on the show) as long as possible and I'm curious to see how he gets himself out of this situation(hopefully alive).
4/15/2014 10:15:34 AM
to be fair, they have shown a shot of Tyrion in shackles in every Season 4 trailer that HBO has released.I have read the books, and I'm not going to spoil anything, but the rest of this season is going to be epic
4/15/2014 10:59:23 AM
LudaCris is going to be so disappointed when Cersei kills Tyrion
4/15/2014 11:28:48 AM
^That would indeed piss me off. Not because I think it would be bad for the story, but because the show would be less awesome without Dinklage involved.
4/15/2014 12:22:56 PM
don't worry, he comes back as a white walker
4/15/2014 12:35:01 PM
so do we think Shae actually got on the boat and left?
4/15/2014 1:05:05 PM
Did the audience get to see her leave on the boat? I think that pretty much seals it.
4/15/2014 1:13:44 PM
yeahhh... kinda figured that...
4/15/2014 1:35:54 PM
the way the scene was shot, I think it was the writer's intention to show the audience that SEVERAL people were involved.-there were several cuts to Varys in the crowd, and he has a much different expression that those around him-Tyrion's comments about paying back the King and goading him-the fool delivering the necklace and then having a plan to help her escape-Olena's admiration and slight of hand at the necklaceI think it is safe to say that 4-5 people were conspiring here to kill Joffery.[Edited on April 15, 2014 at 2:50 PM. Reason : .]
4/15/2014 2:50:17 PM
^Nope, apparently if we just watch the show and see these things the director makes a point to show us, we all just secretly have to read spoilers, hahaha.
4/15/2014 3:12:01 PM
also I'm now remembering that Margaery somewhat forcefully fed a second helping of pie to Joffrey right? As if she was trying to make sure that he had to drink some wine[Edited on April 15, 2014 at 3:20 PM. Reason : asf]
4/15/2014 3:19:50 PM
ok random... i know that HBO has a code or whatever so that you can stream... i've really wanted to watch this series but i don't subscribe to HBO... i was wondering if anyone could share their code with me so I can watch it over Roku? PM me if anyone is so generous!
4/18/2014 3:22:27 PM
Maybe try subscribing to HBO? Support the art you like? Hell, y ou could even wait a few weeks and watch all the eps on demand, then cancel after the season.
4/18/2014 5:47:58 PM
^^ not sure about any codes. when i watch hbo go, i have to sign in with my comcast credentials.
4/19/2014 3:55:22 PM
I think that is exactly what he's afterSo many people have shared their credentials that HBO Go crashes every week
4/19/2014 4:01:03 PM
^They don't really care though. It's good data for them. They get an idea of how many people may subscribe if (when) they offer HBO Go as a stand alone service, and they get an idea of what sort of infrastructure they'll need to support it.But, he could just go buy the previous seasons on DVD ($35/ea season on Amazon right now), they're also on Amazon Instant for $3/episode. So $30/season.[Edited on April 19, 2014 at 6:29 PM. Reason : .]

How does Sersei have any power to throw Tyrion in jail. She is the "Queen Mom" and was Queen Consort when Robert was alive. She's pretty useless honestly....
4/20/2014 10:54:43 PM
She's the Queen Regent, which means practically in charge of the country.Of course when as soon as Joffery got married she stopped being Regent and lost most of her power. But then again, as soon as Joffery died she became Queen Regent again. So she absolutely has the power to throw him in jail.
4/20/2014 11:56:29 PM
FUCK YO HORSE
4/21/2014 6:56:59 AM
Tywin would be up in that ass if some piss-ant guard disobeyed Cersei, regent or not.
4/21/2014 7:13:27 AM
Hound's got zingers.
4/21/2014 8:44:56 AM
just to be clear, Danyreus (sp?) launched barrels that were filled with the collars she took off the bodies leading up to that city right? It's sad the Hound robbed those kind folks. Jamie looks like he's going to have a lot of internal struggles moving forward (Tyrion vs. Cercei).I also get the feeling Arya is in for some shit with Aunt Crazy in the vale.
4/21/2014 12:00:52 PM
^I don't think the collars were necessarily from the bodies, but just from slaves she had freed in the previous cities she had conquered. She was looking to inspire the slaves to openly revolt against their masters.
4/21/2014 12:04:13 PM
that was my interpretation as well.
4/21/2014 12:37:20 PM
Yeah this was the episode where all the "bad guys" that people started to root for reminded everyone that they are not nice people.Jamie, Ygrette, The Hound were all dicks to varying degrees.
4/21/2014 1:18:39 PM
I gotta be honest I was pretty entertained seeing Jamie rape his sister practically on top of the dead body of Joffrey. Really great to see him call her out for what she is.
