Your maps and graphs are lies.

LOL at that map, no way we get that much snow.
2/24/2015 9:35:39 AM
(last page)^ Yeah the only problem I had coming in was people going 5 miles an hour and just creeping and causing cars to bunch up.If you don't feel comfortable going more than 5-10 mph out here then you should have stayed in. Give yourself braking time and space to maneuver and everything is okay right now.[Edited on February 24, 2015 at 9:36 AM. Reason : ]

Allan Huffman (RaleighWX) just posted on twitter his forecast map and we are square in the middle of the 3-6" zone, with 8" locally for Wednesday/Thursday. He's been pretty spot on with his forecasts
2/24/2015 9:37:36 AM
NAM is such a dick tease
2/24/2015 9:37:38 AM
This shit needs to stop .. It's killing my ability to get work completed

I'm in Greensboro and the roads are fine, but you can't go anywhere due to all the wrecks clogging shit up. Dicking around near the hotel...
2/24/2015 9:47:01 AM
2/24/2015 9:54:29 AM
And NCSU brings the retard and doesn't cancel classes.
2/24/2015 9:57:33 AM
I mean, I don't think we'll get 2 feet, but I think it has the potential to be at least a foot. All the locals mets seriously dropped the ball on today's storm.
2/24/2015 9:57:38 AM
This is going to be epic like the ATL event last year.
2/24/2015 10:00:29 AM
I'd be happy with 6 inches of real snow (i.e. not ice). 12 inches might be a bit much. I think I need to hit the ABC store tomorrow. Nothing like having a lunch cigar and scotch on the front porch while watching the snow fall
2/24/2015 10:02:50 AM
what are they saying now?
2/24/2015 10:04:17 AM
Guy running for HOA president is walking down the street salting everyone's front porch steps. That's the kind of politics I like!

2/24/2015 10:08:09 AM
Yeah he deserves a win.

Am I the only one finding it funny that the toll road portion of 540 is clear.Seriously, people that cheap?[Edited on February 24, 2015 at 10:26 AM. Reason : sorry, dunno how that happened]
2/24/2015 10:12:39 AM
Yeah that buys a lot of brownie points.
2/24/2015 10:12:53 AM
2/24/2015 10:17:49 AM
Pretty sure WRAL was calling for a few inches today; at least that's what I saw last night
2/24/2015 10:21:26 AM
^^Quality post.
2/24/2015 10:22:03 AM
Dunno how that typo occurred. However fact of the matter is that that these road conditions aren't the same as last week, and given decent tires anyone can navigate that portion of 540 even if it hasn't been treated by any means.
2/24/2015 10:27:39 AM
The toll part of 540 is app as hell right now, I'd avoid it
2/24/2015 10:27:47 AM

RDU and Charlotte are both toeing the snow/rain line in the latest models. Gonna be close
2/24/2015 10:40:27 AM
2/24/2015 10:43:23 AM
This storm on Thursday is going to be interesting.Lots of balls dropped today. Keep those forecasts coming!
2/24/2015 10:46:14 AM
Which models?
2/24/2015 10:46:16 AM
2/24/2015 10:57:07 AM
2/24/2015 10:58:55 AM
2/24/2015 11:00:38 AM
damn, the interstate looks like a standstill
2/24/2015 11:01:27 AM
There's gonna be a thin band that dumps snow. Just depends on which side of that band you end up on. 25 mile movements in this storm will decide whether you get 8 inches of snow or 1 inch and a ton of cold rain
2/24/2015 11:01:57 AM
THUNDER!OooooowooooowaaaawoooooooooooooTHUNDERSTRUCK!
2/24/2015 11:03:05 AM
^^where are you seeing that?Everywhere i've looked has said at the least 4 inches.
2/24/2015 11:04:07 AM
^if you're on the right side of the band, yes, 4+ inches. I'm not disputing that
2/24/2015 11:06:07 AM
evidence mudda fucka

And every model out there since last night. Every model released over the last 12-18 hours has trended further NW and warmer. Neither are good for the charlotte/RDU corridor right now
2/24/2015 11:10:43 AM
YALL KEEP THAT WHITE SHIT DOWN THERE.
2/24/2015 11:13:11 AM
The snow band is being projected so thin that on the latest RGEM model, there is a county in North GA that gets 1 inch on the southern end and 10 inches on the northern end.
2/24/2015 11:14:47 AM
Weather nerds are implying a northwest movement. Not good if you want snow. Good if you like cold rain. But they don't fuck in know. http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php/topic/45823-feb-25-26-discussionpbp/page-59
2/24/2015 11:22:57 AM
Nobody knows. All you can do is see trends. We won't know who's getting what until the flakes start falling.
2/24/2015 11:25:21 AM
Isn't the only model saying we might get rain instead of snow the GFS which totally whiffed on today and has not shown a Wednesday snow storm all week while all the other models have?
2/24/2015 11:37:29 AM
Well, uh, the flakes have been falling for 3 hours now
2/24/2015 11:37:35 AM
Nam and rgem have both pushed NW and warmer as well. It's a crap shoot. Like my last post said, we won't know till the precipitation starts falling and we won't know how much till its over
2/24/2015 11:39:39 AM
I tried driving to RTP from North Raleigh at 10am and almost got hit by two cars. Made it to Creedmoor Rd. and turned around. Raleigh was not prepared at all for this.
2/24/2015 11:40:13 AM
Do we think tomorrow's commute will be impacted by today's snow?
