Where does Smith rank on your Panthers WR rankings, 3rd or 4th?1. Moose2. DJ Moore3. Kelvin Benjamin4. Keyshawn5. Brenton Bersin....79. Steve Smith[Edited on January 3, 2024 at 8:19 PM. Reason : .]
1/3/2024 8:19:13 PM
You're forgetting Drew "Stone Hands" Carter
1/3/2024 8:45:03 PM
Have we all forgot Kerry Collins? Wtf
1/5/2024 12:31:54 AM
Can we all agree the worst individual WR corps was the "Law Firm"?
1/5/2024 8:12:27 AM
CJ Stroud, playoff QB on year 1
1/6/2024 11:22:18 PM
as is DeMeco Ryans, a coach who we could’ve hired
1/6/2024 11:50:56 PM
How long is it going to take to sort out this mess of an organization and get back to at least be a .500 team? 5 years? 8 years?
1/7/2024 10:18:14 AM
Just watched a guy with a sign referencing Teppers drink throwing incident get his sign confiscated by stadium security lol
1/7/2024 12:48:52 PM
Imagine being a billionaire but also being a whiny lil baby
1/7/2024 1:09:10 PM
Buccs fan with a basically identical sign also got noticed. He refused to give his up and got escorted out by security. He's back now, but sans sign^ I was originally excited about Tepper, but the longer this goes on the worse he's been
1/7/2024 1:36:45 PM
What a dumb fumble
1/7/2024 1:45:20 PM
I know there are plenty of excuses, but Bryce just isn’t it16 starts and almost zero flashes of anything
1/7/2024 3:23:27 PM
He's really good at holding onto the ball too long
1/7/2024 3:29:35 PM
back to back shutouts crown them as the worst team in Panthers history
1/7/2024 3:32:44 PM
It's not a shutout yet! The WRs could still find a way to take another touchdown off the board!!![Edited on January 7, 2024 at 3:39 PM. Reason : Ok now it's over. I stand by my previous assessment that the pickle year was a worse team ][Edited on January 7, 2024 at 3:41 PM. Reason : I want to see what Young/Ekwonu can do in a semi-competent offensive scheme before writing them off ][Edited on January 7, 2024 at 3:42 PM. Reason : Like this offense was destined to fail because it was quite possibly the worst scheme I've ever seen]

1/7/2024 3:42:41 PM
I watched it after watching Wes throw away that game in Blacksburg. So yeah why not continue watching bad sports
1/7/2024 3:45:28 PM
Fitterer gone
1/8/2024 8:42:27 AM
The least surprising firing in the NFL. The fall guy for Tepper's stupidity
1/8/2024 9:51:27 AM
not sure that I’d call him the fall guyhe’s been plenty bad on his own
1/8/2024 10:18:36 AM
Ok now fire every offensive coach
1/8/2024 11:03:44 AM
Not sure why he didn't get the hook before or with Frank, but at least it finally happened.
1/8/2024 1:53:07 PM
Dan Morgan is the new GM
1/22/2024 5:58:03 PM
^good thing or bad thing?
1/22/2024 6:06:57 PM
I am optimistic about this specific hire, in the vacuum of a terrible organization
1/22/2024 6:09:23 PM
Big meh on that hire.[Edited on January 23, 2024 at 1:03 AM. Reason : Love to promote a guy who was an integral part of trading up to draft Young over Stroud.][Edited on January 23, 2024 at 1:05 AM. Reason : To me this screams that outside hires didn't want to work for Tepper]
1/23/2024 1:01:34 AM
^my sentiments exactly. Why hire a search firm if you are just going to be promote from within organization? Screams no one wants into this dumpster fire, at least this year with no 1st round draft pick.
1/23/2024 8:14:13 AM
Yeah, I think it's an outside hires thing. To me Morgan is the least bad internal hire we could make, and we're gonna have to keep doing that for 3-4 years til Tepper learns to keep his grimy hands off the on-field decisions and we can at least trend from a terrible place to work to a mediocre place to work. Then we'll have any real shot at a half-decent external candidate. If it weren't for the fact Tepper already fired him once, I'd think Ron Rivera would be a shoo-in for our HC job.
1/23/2024 8:20:43 AM
I don't think anyone really has information on what to make of this hire. None of us know what Morgan has said or done. The only real data point is Tepper sucks at hiring.
1/23/2024 8:48:02 AM
I mean he was second in command of personnel decisions that have been pretty much universally panned. He's either bad at his job or bad at standing up for his beliefs/scouting. I don't see any reason to promote anyone from the front office based on how the last few years have went.
1/23/2024 10:49:24 AM
1/23/2024 11:10:35 AM
According to Joe Person, Dave Canales is the favorite since him and Dan Morgan worked together in Seattle. When he was at the Seahawks they used less pre snap motion than the Panthers so get ready for more inept offense with Bryce running for his life. Guessing more years of suckage and Tepper not getting the message.[Edited on January 23, 2024 at 1:22 PM. Reason : .]
1/23/2024 1:21:06 PM
^^ Say what you want, but we could do a helluva a lot worse than Rivera. He may be mediocre, but we're straight ass, so that'd be a step in the right direction. He's proven he can time and again turn a bottom-feeder team to an average+ squad, even with undesirable ownership situations.
1/24/2024 8:40:38 AM
he’s proven he’s not a very good coachI’d much rather hire someone who hasn’t already proven that they aren’t a very good coach
1/24/2024 11:24:24 AM
I'm with you, but unfortunately we're in the beggars not choosers spot. Anyone with any outside chance of future star NFL coach potential is gonna stay a mile away from us. I'd be shocked if we get anything other than an older retread coach.[Edited on January 24, 2024 at 11:32 AM. Reason : e]
1/24/2024 11:31:54 AM
^^and yet he's still the best coach in Panthers history.
1/24/2024 1:57:06 PM
John Fox did more with less
1/24/2024 2:18:48 PM
Both only had 3 winning seasons in their tenure, but Rivera had 4 playoff appearances and 3 division titles. 1 more of each than Fox.Fox made the super bowl with arguably the best defense in team history and a running game led by the only RB in team history to average >100 ypg for a season. Plus he had an alleged HOF WR.Rivera made the super bowl with philly fucking brown and ted ginn as starting receivers.]
1/24/2024 4:01:40 PM
I wouldn't mind Vraebel as HC with a young up and coming OC to run the offense
1/24/2024 4:09:57 PM
Rivera Cam made the super bowl with philly fucking brown and ted ginn as starting receivers
1/24/2024 4:39:05 PM
and a stacked defense, which was conveniently not mentioned
1/24/2024 4:58:24 PM
Less stacked than the Fox defense imo.2003 DL >>> 20152003 LB = 2015 LB2015 CB >>> 20032003 S >>> 2015Even if you give 2015 the advantage at LB (which is fine, but pre-concussion Morgan and Witherspoon were awesome) that isn't any more stacked than 2003 who had an absolutely ridiculous DL. So yeah.]
1/24/2024 5:24:08 PM
The 03 DL was amazing
1/24/2024 6:26:02 PM
03 team got super lucky early like that bucks game. Who was alleged hof wr? Moose? Was steve smith on 03 panthers?
1/24/2024 6:33:10 PM
Ricky Proehl
1/24/2024 6:52:10 PM
we’re gonna luck our way into the best non-Harbaugh hire and land Vrabel
1/24/2024 7:54:24 PM
That would probably be the best the Panthers could do, so they'll probably end up hiring a janitor who has never seen a football game instead
1/24/2024 9:19:41 PM
Yeah I will echo the sentiments of the above, Vrabel would not only be a good hire, he'd be a solid fit for where the team has had the most recent success (downhill power running). I'm not sure he'd be the best fit QB-wise, but then again, Bryce kinda needs to prove he's worth picking a coach around before that stays a major consideration to me. (Chicken or the egg situation, I guess).I would love to see us land him, but I have my doubts. Primarily, he just left a non-ideal ownership situation in Tennessee and I'm not sure he'd love to be in that again. I think the Seahawks job would remain more appealing to him, all things equal.
