2 acct wins would have bumped us from a 9 to an 8winning vs bc then losing would keep us at 9a loss here may help our chances of making a run, dropping to a 10-11 seed and having an easier second round matchupi don't think we're in danger of the play in game even with the L

i think ^ is likely, but the true nc state shit outcome would be for them to keep us as a 9 anyway or to put us in dayton in some nightmare match up against like st marys

after some time to blow off steam after the loss, I can look at this more objectively. We knew Robinson and Bowman were exceptional guards, and they showed it tonight. Mitchell always does well against us, didn't he hit a bunch of 3s against us last year? Dorn being out of the game in the first half hurt us big time, he is such a crucial part of our defense, hustle, rebounding, and is able to score (and abu had to pick up his minutes and for some reason abu feels he has to shoot it when he touches the ball). We tried to take advantage of BC inside, but yurtseven isn't capable of taking the game over by himself. We couldn't turn BC over, which is a big part of our defense. BC was worn down at the end of the game which led to our comeback, but we were in too much of a hole. Al Freeman hit some clutch shots at the end, and you know he was going to take the last shot until he turned the ball over. I wish Batts had some offense, but his shot just doesn't fall (wasn't he driving more at the beginning of the season?). Robinson and Bowman were gassed at the end of the game and were hitting the front of the rim on their jumpshots, but they had already done their damage. I believe this game will make us come out hungry in the NCAAs, and we are still a dangerous team, but we are vulnerable to teams with guards that can penetrate. It's tough to take this loss, but it has been an awesome season and I will look forward to our next game.

I hope Al Freeman doesn’t take the loss too hard with the bad inbounds pass. Dude was on fire for us late in the game and without him we wouldn’t have been close. I love Batts defense but I am starting to see on offense what others have been saying, he isn’t doing anything. Hope he works on his drives and shooting for next year.

The saddest part about Abu was us thinking he was leaving for the NBA at one point, transferring...ironically either of those would have helped us. In this game. And many games. Lmao.

The thing that kills me about Abu is how he blatantly shoves the other team when rebounding every game and then acts surprised when they call a foul. I still have love for him being a member of the pack but you would think he could figure that out.

Abu just doesn't know how to play basketball.Looks like someone who just picked it up this year and doesn't know how you can lean on someone to clear them out rather than shove them (and likewise, how not to get leaned on). That's why he's such a terrible rebounder. The same goes for defense and not getting a step too far from the basket, where the slowest big can blow by you. He's a slow learner and I don't get how it takes years to coach this. If all he ever did was rebound reliably and stay between his man and the basket, he would be an asset on the court. Super basic stuff.

He's gonna be one of those dudes in the rec leagues that expects these other people at the Y to know who he is.
