Looked like two playoff teams to me.....both teams win out?
10/2/2016 12:10:18 AM
I'm looking forward to the Clemson Louisville rematch in the playoff. Man, I have so much conference pride right now since we're a part of the best conference.

Awesome day of games. Been one hell of a season so far.

I just can't understand why the rankings hate clemson. What did they do to fall from 2 to 7 and end up behind ohio state who hasn't played anyone like Louisville.

amazing weekend, what a badass group of games
10/2/2016 9:05:42 PM
^^ not sure but I'm guessing he's talking about a computer ranking like s&p+ or f/+ or something.
10/2/2016 9:07:33 PM
i worded that wrong but i meant that they were preseason 2 and fell to 5 (i said 7) and are now only back up to 3 which is behind where they started.

I used the Massay Ratings just so I could use something that ranks all teams. Top 10 teams only listed.http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htmThe first group shows the ratings of the teams they beat and then the next group shows you the name of the teams. Team name and recognition are a big factor in determining rankings. 10/6/2016 5:36:01 PM
VT laying the hammer on UNC. Trubisky looks like he is going to cry. Sucks that this should be UNCs 4th loss. Lucky fuckers.

Texas A&M Gaggies.
10/8/2016 8:06:35 PM
Tennessee might do this again.
10/8/2016 8:06:42 PM
Michigan is putting a historic beating on Rutgers and they're trying very hard not to break 100.Theres going to be a lot of running up the score talk, but they haven't thrown the ball this quarter. They're averaging about 10 yards a carry and have a bunch of long td runs.
10/8/2016 10:26:22 PM
I just saw the score update to 78-0. Rutgers lost to Ohio State 58-0.
10/8/2016 10:36:45 PM
They just gained their first 1st down of the game and have 20 total yards.
10/8/2016 10:37:57 PM
I just saw the box score: 39 total yards. That is a beat down.Washington has 70 on Oregon right now. Oregon is miles away from a few years ago.FSU/Miami have a good one going on. Francois has gotten nailed a few times but keeps coming back in. [Edited on October 8, 2016 at 10:54 PM. Reason : Edit]

10/9/2016 4:16:56 AM
Miami clearly doesn't give a fuck after the FSU game.
10/15/2016 5:22:52 PM
Wonder if UNC fans think this game should be postponed because of the unfair rain?
10/15/2016 6:49:12 PM
They don't seem to be complaining about the wet ball giving them the victory there.
10/15/2016 7:13:02 PM
i can't watch anymore football this weekend. i need to see a shrink
10/15/2016 7:14:07 PM
I hope Wisconsin doesn't fuck this up. If there's a more hateable team and coach combo than an Urban Meyer coached OSU team I can't think of it.
10/15/2016 10:06:44 PM
Lots of fun endings tonight. Tulsa stopped at the one against Houston. Stanford holding off ND on a potential game tying TD drive. Chad Kelly trying to run for that first down but getting popped and fumbling to pretty much end the game. And now OSU just took the lead against Wisconsin.
10/15/2016 11:01:53 PM
Louisville doesn't really have a realistic path to the playoff with only one top 10 win and 1 loss. They need 5 of these things to happen:-Washington to lose-Baylor/WVU winnter to lose-Florida to lose-Alabama to lose twice-TAMU to lose twice-Clemson to lose twice-Ohio State to lose twice-Michigan to lose twice
10/22/2016 3:17:55 PM
well there is ohio state onceCOLUMBUS LOSES!!!!!!!!!
10/22/2016 11:47:10 PM
Penn State beats the Luckeyes!! I think I will rub one out in their honor!
10/22/2016 11:49:03 PM
Always fun to see Ohio state lose but not sure why people say that's a playoff shake up. Nothing changes for those assholes except they won't be undefeated but it changed nothing they win out they are still in
10/22/2016 11:51:24 PM
It's pretty big. It's a loss to a very mediocre team in a season that they've looked vulnerable at times. They probably should have lost to Wisconsin and they've got two legitimately tough games left against Nebraska and Michigan and to have any shot they have to win and they'd need to win convincingly against Michigan. If they win out they've still got a shot to get in, but it could get dicey if there are a handful of one loss teams. Assuming things play out as expected and Alabama runs the table, Washington wins out, and Clemson takes the ACC those 3 are locked in. I don't think it's a lock that an undefeated Big 12 team gets in. That conference has been trash this season. So, that last spot is up for grabs between Louisville whose only loss came against Clemson and then you've Ohio State who lost to Penn State, Michigan who you can't put in over OSU if OSU beats them, an undefeated Baylor/WVU, and maybe Texas A&M who lost to Alabama. In a scenario like that I think you're picking between Louisville, big 12 team, and Texas A&M.[Edited on October 23, 2016 at 1:20 AM. 10/23/2016 1:18:01 AM
ohio state is still in if they win out unless there are 4 undefeated teams in each of the other 4 conferences which doesn't seem too unlikely. This doesn't really change much for them because I feel like Washingon, Clemson, and the Baylor/WVU winner are bound to lose 1 game between them. Louisville has almost no shot unless that long list of things I wrote above happens. You're crazy if you think a 1 loss louisville team would even be considered over a 1 loss ohio state team in any year much less a year when louisville has no wins and ohio state has 3 top 15 wins.
10/23/2016 2:12:19 AM
Maybe, but I think the committee might have some Ohio State trepidation again. Their history in the BCS has been kind of bad for the most part. They might also be inclined to give the best player in college a chance to shine in the playoffs if they can. It's a moot point, I think Ohio State is going to lose at least one more game. They aren't a great team this year. I think Michigan beats them, and barring that I think Wisconsin beats them in a rematch if they make it to the Big Ten title game.Outside of the state of Ohio nobody wants to see them in the playoffs. A lot of people want to see Lamar Jackson against Alabama. The committee is made up of people, people can be influenced.
10/23/2016 2:21:19 AM
louisville only had one tough game on their schedule and they lost it so they have no shot at getting picked ahead of anyone. the committee doesn't care about players enough to ignore sos.
10/23/2016 2:58:06 AM
Louisville needed Houston to stay undefeated and now they have lost twice including getting beat up by SMU so unless Clemson loses two and they get into the ACC title game it is gonna be extremely tough. Ohio State lost to a team that doesn't have a chance to win the division so as long as they win the big 10 still they are gonna get in.
10/23/2016 11:51:40 AM
I take you're point, Louisville is going to end up with a shitty SOS, but I think they're also going to be ahead of Ohio State in the polls for the rest of the year. If Jackson is a runaway for the Heisman (looks like a lock unless Fournette averages like 300 yards a game the rest of the way) I doubt they buck the polls and put 1 loss Ohio state ahead of 1 loss Louisville unless Ohio State thrashes Michigan and wins the big ten title game convincingly. If I were to bet on it I'd say the playoffs will be Alabama, Washington, Clemson, and Michigan. I think it's actually pretty likely we have 4 Undefeated teams this year and it's a no brainer for the committee.
10/23/2016 2:10:09 PM
i think you are forgetting that ohio state also plays undfeated nebraska in two weeks because you only mentioned michigan. Its a no brainer that a team with 3 top 15 wins would get in over a team with 0 and the same record.
10/23/2016 5:27:14 PM
No, I mentioned it a few posts up. I called it a legit tough game, but it's not really. Neither team is all that good this season.Nebraska is a paper tiger, that win won't look that great at the end of the year. Nebraska is going to get stomped by Wisconsin and OSU. They might get a 3rd loss against Iowa. Go back and look at some of their games, they haven't done anything this year to warrant a top 10 ranking. It's all speculation at this point, personally I think it's pretty moot. This year's playoffs are likely to be pretty clean and easy to pick.[Edited on October 23, 2016 at 7:55 PM. Reason : sdfsf]
10/23/2016 7:51:25 PM
There's really no situation where OSU vs Louisville is a tough question for the committee. Assuming UL wins out, either OSU wins out winning the B10 and OSU is in, or they lose another game and UL is in. Now if OSU wins out and Michigan's only loss is to OSU then UM vs UL is a huge question (i'd pick UM for SOS). The other possible situations would be if undefeated Alabama, Clemson, or Washington get upset in the conference title game.
10/23/2016 8:49:31 PM
Game control is a factor in these things right? So why wouldn't UL stand a legitimate shot of being the best 1 loss team if their only loss was in a barnburner against Clemson? Assuming Clemson stays undefeated, there is no shame in losing close to them. Regardless of SOS, UL passes the eye test with flying colors.
10/23/2016 9:37:29 PM
^i think we've seen in the first couple years that the committee values winning your conference...so if Ohio St does that, they're in as a 1 loss team. so then the question becomes, like ^^ said, UM vs UL...and really i think you every thing you said about UL could be said about UM but with a better SOS. UM has looked amazing this year, they passed any eye test with flying colors as well as UL. but a lot like last year, it's fun to speculate and guess about how things will shake out....but most likely things will fall nicely into place and there won't be a complete logjam for the playoff.
10/24/2016 7:41:55 AM
That conversation isnt likely to matter as Clemson, Washington, and Alabama likely take the other 3 spots anyways. The most important thing is winning your conference as its pretty clear the committee values that. So while Louisville clearly has the better loss its also a loss that almost assuredly costs them winning the division whereas Ohio State's loss is to a worse opponent but has no bearing on them winning their division. Sucks that thats how it goes but thats reality.
10/24/2016 8:20:24 AM
^right...i was counting in my head as i made that post and totally forgot about Washington. only wrench that could really fuck that up is an undefeated Baylor...winning their conference but obviously not having a a conf title game has hurt the big 12 in the past. so in the very unlikely event that you have 5 undefeated teams from SEC, ACC, Pac12, Big12, Big10 then it's probably Baylor getting left out. but again - that's very unlikely to happen with Baylor's schedule getting more difficult down the stretch.
10/24/2016 10:09:58 AM
The more interesting question would come if you have to decide between an undefeated big 12 team and a 1 loss Ohio State big ten champ
10/24/2016 11:45:56 AM
Wayne Gallman is a bitch
10/24/2016 11:49:28 AM
^yeah asking for somebody to retaliate is pretty fucking stupid. it'd be one thing if he said it on the sidelines to a teammate, but saying that to the media is fucking stupid. i don't think flagging it as targeting would've been a terrible call, but i'm pretty sure he was concussed when he his head banged on the ground, not when wright hit him in the shoulder/face area.also he was quoted as saying he doesn't think he had a concussion even though he doesn't remember anything until he woke up in the training room lol. that's definitely a concussion
10/24/2016 12:01:23 PM
cant wait till next years game
