You are basically saying if a team could score a lot against a great defensive team, then the great defensive team wouldn't be good.

Not surprising that a Gottfried message board would have posts like this. Very little appreciation for defense or understanding of its value.

I'm a UConn fan. I appreciate great defense. And I am one of the few who doesn't hate on Virginia or their style of play.

Buffalo didn't really run anything. Had little to do with Miami's defense (which, btw, is not as efficient this year as their offense -- 46 on Pomeroy) last night.

the ncaa tournament is becoming more of a show each year. you can tell they seeded the teams to produce scripted matchups for ratings and storylines. its annoying as hell.

well tyler lewis committed to Lowe, but obviously never played for him. raymond's freshman year was the '11-12 team, coached by Gott. but i dunno if he committed to Lowe or not. and what about tyler harris? he was a freshman that season too, but not sure who he committed to. he finished up his college career at auburn this year (previously transferred to Providence)

It actually was a pretty well recruited class...they are long term players though, and Lowe didn't have that time.

And Gottfried just tried to throw whatever at the wall that first year and see what stuck.

Raymond is quite the guard...he would have started at the SG position this year(minus Henderson).

LOL based on today? He averaged 5 PPG and 2 RPG shooting .326 from 3 for a 15 seed team. He would have never got time at NCSU. He shot 39% from the field as a Senior.
