No he didn't, this is how our bigs played all season which is why we were so inconsistent. We get very little easy shots in the paint and if you drive at our bigs they will foul like 70% of the time and block 30% of the time.

This is NOT on Barber. When he has the ball the bigs clog up the paint and he has no where to drive, and the bigs seldom set high court screens on him. I feel like he is literally playing 1 on 5 a lot, its nothing he can do except force long jumpers or drive and get destroyed.

lacey only hits shots when he's got a guy in his face. going to the ball screen offense where you get open shots killed his game

although he shouldve jacked that one shot up instead of passing it to fucking freeman which may as well count as a turnover. that pass basically waived the white flag on the half

The bigs need to get their heads out of their asses. They don't contribute much on offense and plus they're getting punked on defense. When Barber drives it seems like they don't even want to catch the ball when he passes it to them, and if they actually catch the ball they show JV basketball offense or force a turnover.

here's the issue. we have 4 bigs. 1 is washington who we mothbolled to make the tournament. of the last 3 you have

freeman: the most fundamentally sound, but too small to guard nba bigs and doesnt care about guarding stretch 4s. so he's good against college bigs that play like old school PFs which make him effective against bad bcs teams

anya: blocks shots but is fat and only really good at camping out under the rim

abu: the most versatile of this group but also a freshman and could use some muscle

in other words, we're fucked if we play a team with a PF who can shoot 3s or has actual nba big men. i cant blame gott for what he did in cutting down to these 3 because we wouldnt have made the tournament otherwise but this is the result of a flawed roster
