good teams don't play down to the level of their competition. i've been following NC State for 20 years man, so I know how shit its been. But we were pumped up so god damn much in the offseason and then we keep doing our same stuff. Trust me, I'm glad we're winning. It'd just be nice to see consistent effort. Treat every game like you're playing a number 1 team.

i hear that 100% and i wish we would do that

but you also have to remember, unlike the last 20 years when we sucked, we're getting every opponent's best efforts now...we had preseason hype, have been ranked all year pretty much, and now have targets on our backs...its not something we're used to, but every team we play this year is going to be giving their best effort...i'm just happy to be 15-3 for the first time in...i dunno, a long ass time

I hear ya loud and clear. I'm prone to overreaction when it comes to NC State sports. We just don't make any sense. We look so dominant at times and so pedestrian at others.

also, really don't want to come out flat vs UNC/play down to their level. They should be dominated.

Clemson and Maryland are "middle of the pack" ACC teams...Maryland was on the road after an emotional win, and we beat Clemson

i'd be participating in the bitching if we had lost tonight, but we fought through it and won, so I'll just chalk it up as a win

I think it shows though that we need to be careful against teams with strong big post players. Between Len and Booker, we don't have the bodies to deal with that in a grind it out situation since all we have is howell and leslie (lol vandy) and they have to be careful about foul trouble early in the game.

Best case against those teams is to get up big early and keep running them to eliminate the issue. We started good on Clemson but then the game slowed down and that's when we had more trouble.

The middle of the ACC has become the Big Ten with pace of play. It's irritating. Maryland, GT, UVA, Clemson all play garbage slow down basketball.

also, they have been decent at home, they played duke hard the first 30 minutes.

well we beat wake twice last year by like 30 points each

i happen to think they suck, and duke ended up blowing them out, despite me hoping it would end differently

clemson also held duke scoreless the first 5-6 minutes of their game
